2:14 Curly couldn't have done much anyway, they were doing a mission and a mistake could reduce the money they would get, they were in the middle of outer space and Jimmy was the co-pilot, he was essential and without him Curly couldn't navigate the space ship correctly. Not forgetting they were friends for a long time and as a person who had a similar friendship, you kinda overlook the things your best bud does and you try to help him or reason with him until he fucks you up directly or indirectly, with that said i can sympathise with Curly. He made mistakes yes but how could have he knew what Jimmy would do, let alone if he acted or not. Curly was nice with him, and still Jimmy did all thouse things, now imagine if Curly confronted him. Jimmy would have done even horrible things for sure.
The thing is, this is the main topic of the game, turning a blind eye because it's your friend, it's your cousing, it's your sibling etc... There is no excuse to not doing anything, and it was said by Curly that they were going to get kicked out. Curly had a good mentality, but that does not mean he is a good guy. The thing is, he did not help Anya, and that resulted in bad consequences. Defending Curly is defending people who don't take action against abusers, and that is wrong. No matter who the person is, you should always make them take *responsibility* for their actions. There were things they could've done, that is for sure. But he didn't ler Anya take the gun to defend herself, he didn't talk about it with the other crew members to let them know when to defend themselves. He didn't even consider what Jimmy could've done. And honestly? That is pretty realistic, because most people won't know what to do when they find out someone they cherish does such things. But that is the thing, we should expect the worse from everyone. Curly's main flaw is being too optimistic and trusting.
@quid2616 Like I said, even if Curly wanted to do something he was limited, being in outer space, Jimmy being the copilot and Pony Express punishing all of them for literally a simple mistake or action took by themselves weren't helping. You have a point tho
