It just amazes me how much useful stuff gets left behind! All those chairs and tables looked in good shape. All the shelving and milk crates! I would kill to have all those crates and storage units!! Even the freezers looked in great condition! If I owned them and couldn’t use them, I would either try to sell them or auction them or just donate them to an animal shelter.
Ya, sometimes just don't work out as planned i guess. Luckily that does happen sometimes because it makes for a much more interesting explore. Thanks for commenting KS!!
That was an RV body shop at one time. The photos of the go kart track back in its day are neat. That was a very nice place! Love this explore. And there was a review of it from 4 years ago. So sad that such a nice well maintained track is closed.
Oh ya, never thought that it could have been a shop for RVs, maybe the RV store next door used to use the space. Ya the go karts were the last to close which was about four years ago. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!
I agree with you. Great concept wrong location. The premises is filthy and not from being abandoned. It's disrepair is very evident. I knew where it was right from the beginning and always wondered why there would be so many gas stations so close to the city.
You know it's weird though because up until about the last decade, i thought the gas stations in that area were always quite busy. But lately the whole area has been looking a little worse for wear. Thank you for commenting!!
Part 2 definitely did not disappoint! There were so many different things to do here in one place! The upstairs apartment was a complete surprise to me. Great explore James!
Ya, i would have thought it would be a really busy place even to this day, surprising how things change. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment KMF!!
Ya, it was quite a nice track actually and bigger than I thought too. You know it really isn't unbelievable the electricity was still on 😂 Thanks for the comment Ann!!
The Putt-Putt would be a challenge now more than ever. Interesting video and I enjoyed it. That "party" room was pretty dismal though. It looks more like part of an office or a meeting room, or maybe an employee's lunchroom. The lame balloon and birthday signs just make it drearier. Florescent lighting and those blue walls don't exactly scream party time. When I saw the upstairs I first thought it would be for truckers to rest up and shower, maybe cook something but with only that one bathroom and being upstairs from the party room changed my mind. I think you're right about it serving as another section of the party room. I wonder if the Go-Kart bay was originally to service trucks and was repurposed for the Go-Kart and golf concessions. Amazing how many places have power for years after being abandoned.
Oh ya, the mini putt is almost impossible now lol Agree with you about the party room, there is just something about fluorescent lighting that makes it feel more serious. I too thought the go-kart garage used to be a service bay for transport trucks given it's unusually large ceiling height. Glad you enjoyed this one Dan and thanks very much for the comment!!
Hi James Sorry but I liked part one better than part two. I think the coffee time coffee house was great and the best. Thanks for sharing with us. Stay safe and well.
Oh cool, you couldn't really miss the place when passing along the highway. Can't blame you for not wanting to head south as often anymore, it's busy down there! Thanks for the comment!!
Thanks for another great video James. Really appreciate the tour of this once thriving business. These places remind me of how places like these used to look like back on the good ole' days! Except probably in better shape. Keep up the great hard work James. Much love and stay blessed😀🥰🤗✌👍💕
Ya, this one gave me a very nostalgic feeling during the explore, amazing how quickly things change. Glad you enjoyed it Lisa and thanks for the comment!!
Man I miss go Karting. I used to live right near a go Kart place. It is now a movie theater and strip mall. Part 2 is just as great as Part 1. Very detailed work as always. Yes i agree you should invest in a drone. Those are cool for something like this. Another great explore. Big hugs JH. P.S. you look good in that shirt
I would imagine go karts have a lot of costs involved, all the land for the track and of course the karts themselves, probably difficult to make it a viable business. Good that you noticed the shirt lol. Glad you enjoyed this one Kimmy and thanks for the comment!!
Beautiful explore. The party room and the put area were amazing. The convenience store was very Walking Dead. What year did the store and golf close? Great music with your stills.
Yes, it really did have a post apocalyptic vibe to it. Gas station closed in 2018 and the mini putt i don't really know but probably about 10 years. Thanks for the comment!!
Ya, large abandoned places like this are always enjoyable and ya, that fan did not help the audio at all! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!
Hi James! I’m a bit later than usual, but I made it! 😂 This place had so much. I’m sure it was a great place in its day. So many places of entertainment are fizzling out. When I think of what there was in the 90s and even 2000s. Doesn’t seem to be much about for kids and young families. Definitely not where I am anyway.
Glad you found the time! Ya, i guess the world is changing, kids these days are more interested in technology now, aren't they? That's the way i see it anyway. Glad you enjoyed it Stephanie and thanks for the comment!!
@@StaticSpaces Busy having a virus 😂 Escaped it for 3 years. Couldn’t believe it. I’m not too bad though. Just feel like I have a head cold, which is nasty enough, but could be a lot worse! I’ll be grand in a few days. This is day 3 and I think it’s 5 days now so 🤞🏻
Really cool place James! Sad to see these cool places go away. I am sure it was a total write off for the business. Have a great weekend and keep up the good work!🙏🏻👍
Good grief, the bedroom at the top of the stairs surprised me , with all the scratch offs! Wow that would have put some change in someone’s pocket at one time.....and they just left it? Like they were sitting on the bed, scratching tickets stood up walked out leaving potentially a great deal of money just sitting there?! So weird. The whole apartment being up there was just so surprising to me. Not done watching, I just had to pause, and comment lol Something else I wonder why they didn’t have a auction to recoup some loss. Or even just so it wasn’t left for vandalism and rot. I don’t know why but , that bothers me to see things destroyed for no good reason. I always feel frustrated about stuff just throwed out filling our land fills, when maybe someone would have loved to have it or really could used it. Thank you so much , this was a good thought provoking place for me. Cee Cee
Ya the upstairs apartment was a bit of a strange surprise for me too although it wasn't the most interesting part of the location. Those weren't lottery tickets, they were the tickets for the go-karts, i guess after you pay they would give you one of those. They have no monetary value. Glad you enjoyed this one Cee Cee and thanks for the comment!!
They had to go - the place was falling apart around them, the toilets were backing up, and the owner of the complex most likely had to shut it all down and evict the tenants because he didn't want to put any more money or maintenance into a sinking ship. Well, that's my theory. ...I would have been very pleased if you would have put on one of those birthday hats for the walk-through! 🎂🍰
Ha, i had thought about the birthday hat for the intro but it just didn't happen. I did however where the air miles t-shirt in the outro! Lol I think you are right about the owners not wanting to put more money into the property, they had a tough time leasing the empty spaces. Thanks for the comment Bill!!
This McDonald’s closed as the owners opened a new location off the highway in a new busy shopping plaza. The go kart and mini putt I’m not sure why they closed. I think lack of business and aging owners/facility. All of my cousins worked at this McDonalds growing up and it was sad to see it go. I’m from the area, it’s been abandoned since 2016 or so.
I think the gas station was open more recently than that, wasn't it? I seem to remember someone bought the go kart track a few years ago and tried to make a go of it before closing permanently. Thank you very much for your comment!!
Even being empty it makes me hungry. People mainly pull into a place like that if gas prices are lower. Perhaps they had higher prices on gas than the general area the reason they went under. People on a fixed income even 10 cents higher on the gallon would make people move onto the gas station down the road.
Cool video. It was probably a fun place to visit. It's kinda shameful to see in this shape now. I don't understand. Like you said , the location seems primo.
Yup, entertainment, food and gas, what more could you ask for? There aren't always easy answers as to why some of these places fail. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!
It definitely was an unusual space for sure, maybe it was another way for the owners to make more money or maybe someone who ran one of the businesses lived there. Thanks for the comments Will!!
Mr James : Somewhat disappointed you did not encounter that handsome total stranger who was the server at Coffeetime in part one ! That man , who was in no way related to you and definitely not your DAD ! ( I get it , he is in the witness protection program ,and indentity must be kept secret !
Ya, he just likes to keep a low profile and can't blame him for that. It took a bit of convincing to get him to appear in that video. Thanks for the comment John!!
Ya, it's a weird situation for sure, the McDonald's interior was fairly modern too, i still think the place just wasn't getting enough business but who knows. Thanks for commenting SG!!
Do some digging with the city, only other thing is maybe the owner got sick and died. He could of sold it off, even the gas station portion. Gas stations make money.

I just said the same about things left behind , frustrating and wasteful!
