The only good part of Laxmii was Sharad Kelkar who nailed his acting. The Tamil version of Laxmii was done by Sharath Kumar who was simply mesmerizing.

In some of his "socially responsible" films many anti social things also get promoted 😂 Eg. Stalking in Toilet - Ek prem katha and transphobia in Laxmii.

About time people appreciate Sharad Kelkar! He has been a fantastic actor since the time he worked in daily soaps and its sad to see that he is still not getting his due credit.
Absolutely! Really unfair to see appreciation becoming long overdue, almost thematically!
Though everyone is trying to show Hinduism having homophobia but it's Abrahamic religion that have problem with it. Hindu scriptures have shown respect and recognition to transgender. What we see today is product of Mughal and British ideas that got incorporated with Indian thoughts . Laxmi had a story that could have created awareness but failed to do so.

tbh it would have been some anti-transphobic thing 10-15 years ago (maybe when the original movie was made) but not anymore (not in 20 fucking 20) with how regressive everything about this movie is... like... the movie is so cringey and it just seems like they are making fun at the expense of the community at this point especially with all the idiotic gender roles, the haldi and the sari and ughh the chuddiyan dialogue.... (kudos to sharad kelkar though... he seemed to be the only person to have worked on his character... his portrayal of laxmi made me so emotional and was basically the only part in this movie i could actually watch..)

I would like to suggest you one thing either u review movies in hindi language or in english....pls dont make khichdi in between the review sometimes it becomes very confusing and irritating...and i would love to add one more thing this is the worst and the most irritating movie with very irritating comedy and the acting performances of all characters bad as hell especially akshay kumar and those two ladies ....

Oh hey, sorry about that. I will definitely try and get better in the next one. But I really don't want to come off as fake, loud or overly positive. You already have actors and actresses in commercials for that. Trying to keep it real. And the bg music is a brand thing. We wanted some consistency in the videos and changing the music in every video won't let us achieve it. Or will it? Let us know.
Alright, I understand what you said, but I'll say a few things as a consistent viewer here.
I absolutely adore the laid-back sort of narrative energy she has. There's so much yelling, aggression to make a point these days. Even in the very popular desi movie rants I follow in this genre, there's too much toxicity. We have enough of that. I just want to sit loose for a few minutes, enjoy her incredible humour (which she possess in abundance), and leave with a smile. For once I don't want a riot of laughter, but smart sensible commentary on precise points.
I don't care about the repetitive BG score as well. If anything, it adds a signature rhythm to her content, and has become associative.
PS: The length clearly implies I am a big fan, but I spoke from logical ground there.
