On 7/24/18 Nickelback was in Sioux City and they read my sign that said "It's my birthday, can I play Animals?" And they called me on stage to live out my dream!
I played "Leader of Men" with them October 23rd 2003 in Atlanta. This was before everyone was carrying a video camera on their phone but I have pictures and a recording. Got to hang out with them backstage before and after the show. They're all really nice guys. I don't understand why people dog them so much. The show was great. Had the opportunity to check out Ryan and Chad's rigs which was way cool. I love their Mesa Boogie sound!
I have much the same ambition, but on bass; I had a sign but decided not to hold it up as it’d have blocked people’s views. Mike has seen me play so fingers crossed I get to live it out next time they’re over!
@@ron6454 sorry for the late response. I didn't get to meet them. I just had a sign asking if I could play animals and it actually worked. And that was one of the best parts was all the random people sending me their points of view of the performance. That and when I was walking back to my spot in the crowd I was high fivee, hugged, back patted etc by so many people. It felt like I just had the game winning touchdown in the superbowl.
