Simply awesome!!!! Your build videos are soooo clear and informative! I have watched it twice already; better than anything on TV as far as I'm concerned ;) I just know this car is gonna be a beauty when it's done. Keep up the work! Best regards, David
Friday is saved with a new Matteo video :) I remember the TA-02 chassis from the 90's it was a great economy chassis. I have a Porsche 934 waiting to be be built later so i'm happy you made this build series.
Great video, Matteo! The Lancia is a beautiful car, and the TA-02 chassis doesn't look as if has changed since I built my Ford Escort RS Cosworth back in 1993! The ball-differential works a treat. Looking forward to the next installment :-)
Great video! Can't wait to see the rest. I have one of these I have been holding off building till I have the time to dedicate to doing the body properly.
For greasing the gears and axles i bought a big Tube of the Tamiya Ceramic grease. I know different Tamiya models have different greases. But for my CC-01 uses the Ceramic. I feel Tamiya doesn’t give you enough
The way you tightened the ball diff makes me uncomfortable. You seemed to really tighten it hard, which will force the balls to dent the washers. Also, whenever possible, it's a good idea to tighten a ball diff while rotating the internal parts, to help ensure the balls don't dent the washers. This ensures the diff will operate as smoothly as possible. I've never seen dogbone driveshafts that were made of metal _and_ plastic before. That's an interesting idea. I wonder why Tamiya stopped using that design?
Great videos, especially the action of the 037. But please get some more varied music. Having the same thing going round and round is a pain in the ears!
0:50 - Hey Matteo, you know there's a puncture tool built into the outside of the cap, so you don't have to get your reaming tool dirty with grease, right? ;)
Do you mean the pinion gear? The spur gear is not screwed on with these screws. For the small screw of the pinion is not recommendable, it holds without. And with loctite it's possible to damage the screw by re-opening.
@@Matteomeier yes i mean pinion. I always loctite my pinions. It was some time now that i built a Tamiya, on bigger cars and runners lite Traxxas and Arrma its almost a must to loctite the pinion. I do like al your videos thougt. Nice to see all of your cars :-)
I found a little problem when I built TA02 chassis ball diff.. rear wheels sometimes won’t spin due to a small gap between rear dog bone and wheel hub cup. I add a rubber O ring between wheel hub cup and dog bone. That fix the problem. Did you have the same problem?
Matteo's RC Movies Not in my manual it didn't. I checked the manual many times, but I don't see it.. I thought it supposed to be add O ring.. I don't know why it didn't show on my Porsche 911 GT2 ??
ist die Kunststoff Quallität mitlerweile bei Tamiya besser geworden? 1998 hatte Ich den F-150 mit TA-02 und da waren die Getriebegehäuse nach einiger Zeit etwas brüchig!!!
I love your build videos and just bought a Lancia so these are so helpful! Thanks!

Yes, me too, always need a bit more grease...

Haha no, no idea what it is... 😄😄
I’ve always loved driving rtr RCs, but recently have wanted to get into building them. What do you recommend as a good starter build?
I can recommend all the Tamiya kits. Very well explained and everything fits well together. You can choose an off-road or on-road kit.
would they be good for a 15 year old (me) as I have no building experience@@Matteomeier
3:04 Rear gearbox and tail housing should have been silver (slightly darker). 3:48 No Lockthread anywhere...???
Dont you use loctite on metal to metal parts like the spurgear screw?
Do you mean the pinion gear? The spur gear is not screwed on with these screws.

I meant it's mention in the manual to add this o ring in the hub cub...

Ich hatte eigentlich noch nie sehr grosse Probleme mit dem Kunststoff. Ob sich das jetzt verbessert hat kann ich schwer beurteilen...
Wasn’t this car originally a TA03 chassis?
Yes, in 2001 was a TA03!
U should join in on the tamiya build off 2! The lunchbox is what we r building this time, n u still have about 2weeks to join in if u like
