- According to Eric Clapton, this is an ANTI-drug song although I find this hard to believe. Even so, I'm the type that doesn't pay much attention to song lyrics. This is such a great cover... my favorite ever. I'm just not good enough to do it like you. Your ghost notes are perfection, along with the the polyrhythm on the high hat, and those smooth double stroke rolls in your fill.

That was awesome! I just started drumming at 53 but it’s something I wanted to do all my life. Me and some guys put a garage band together and I’m learning this groove. You’re smooth as silk bro. I hope to be half as good as you some day.

Thank you!!!! Dave Weckl helped me pick out the ride cymbal (20" Zildjian K Custom) at a drum clinic way back in 1990. The two crash cymbals are CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP Wuhon's. The hi-hats are 14" Zildjian New Beats from a mail order catalog in 1979. I'm glad you like them!!

Do you change your symbols in regards to the cover your playing or do you have a “favorite” set up for them?
Yes, I switch out my ride cymbal quite often to match whatever song I am covering. Cymbals are like children--I can't pick a favorite. I love them all!! Thanks!!
