Man you think That bananas. He fixes the camaro and the bumper is cracked and broken. And he did several videos with it like that . before he made the bumper replacement video. Wow that bumper was just flaping .

Hi. Marvellous video, just right to incl. socket sizes etc. Many Thx. Now then, do u have any tips for removing a 19mm chrome lug-nut (a la 300M 2003) when the lug-nut facets have been rounded off by some gorilla with the wrong sized air-gun socket? Do I have to (carefully) drill off the cap of the lug-nut? Or is there a needle-nose vice grip that I can force down either side of the lug-nut recess in the (steel?) wheel and then clamp with huyge force on the rounded nut? TY, TY.
Angel Reyes it can be done but u need more than just the calipers and the brackets, the rear spindles and front knuckles need changed and u will also need rims that will fit srt vehicles.
where can I find a video for changing the front brake pads? i also need to find out how to get to the cabin air filter on the 2014 Chrysler 300 Varvatos edition. It not directly behind the glove box. A video on replacing the fog lights on the same vehicle would be great as well. Thanks!
Also if you don't see anything when you look in that area, it means they didn't install the housing. Quite a few chryslers and dodges are like this and in my vehicle, my father bought years ago, that part was apart of the features to have already been installed. There are videos out there on how to install it if you can't find it, but the part is a little difficult to find.
The only thing I WOULD NOT recommend is compressing the caliper piston. Compressing that caliper piston with the old, dirty, over heated brake fluid from the heating and cooling cycles of every day driving is just pushing all the contaminated fluid back into the braking system, which could lead to more expensive repairs sooner rather than later... ALWAYS crack the bleeder valve while compressing the caliper piston to remove all the old brake fluid from the caliper, close the valve and bleed the system. And I actually go through the bleed process twice to make sure and remove all the old fluid or at least as much as I can(it doesn’t use much fluid doing this but will save $$$ in more repairs later). Just make sure the fluid reservoir is full each and every time you go through the bleed cycle to prevent air from remaining in the braking system.
Probably due to the fact that the novice mechanic will only create more problems with the braking system by monkeying around with the bleeder valve. More often than not, the novice will think the valve is a grease zerc and will leave a glob of grease hanging from it. Seen it many times.
Thank you for the inquiry. In order to find the correct rear brakes for your vehicle we would need to know if your OE rotors are vented or solid and their diameter. +1namillion83
@@1AAuto Hey thanks for responding. O'Reilly had what I needed AutoZone kept giving me the wrong brake pads. Went to a total of 4 AutoZones before I went to O'Reilly. I'm back rolling now thanks again for responding.
Jonathan Boykin you can just buy a little packet of brake grease if u get it at the store or otherwise you can just you regular white lithium grease is fine in my opinion
How come you gave like 3-4 whacks to the rotors and came off easily with all that rust? I did mine yesterday, backed up the e-brake to release it, and still took a good half hour to take the damn thing off
+D Tony Johnson We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Why the fuck would you ever use pliers to compress the piston.... it's called a C clamp w a piece of thin steel or wood so you can compress the piston evenly across it. Not all the pressure being sent to about 1/4 of the piston.... probably didn't like that.

OMG the pliers on the Piston literally hurt to watch!!!
+Petroshmo Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
Also the fact that they replaced a vented rotor with a solid one...and make no mention of the difference in this video...lol🤣🤣🤣
You don't explain why you installed a new hub for this brake job. Is it necessary for pad and rotor replacement?
No it's not needed to change pads but if your wheel bearing is going bad it makes sense to change it when you got it apart thoe
Also the fact that they replaced a vented rotor with a solid one...and make no mention of the difference in this video...lol🤣🤣🤣
I have a question, Will the brakes system(rotors, caliper) on a 2008 SRT fit on a 2008 SXT model?
+Angel Reyes Thanks for checking us out! The SRT model will have larger brakes than the SXT, so they will be different. 1aauto.com
1A Auto Parts Thank you. But if i use srt caliper bracket with the srt calipers and rotors, will it fit then?

Where is the vented rotor you speak of
0:52 FYI, they make 21.5 mm sockets for applications like this, I finally got a set.
I got the 300 hemi c awd does the awd change the type of brakes and rotors I gotta buy
Thank you sir! God bless you. And God bless America!!
Where is the bleeder valve for the back calipers located at ? Or does it not have one ?
My 2014 (awd) comes factory with 22mm lug nuts

The filter is in the hood near top where wipers are

I got a 05 dodge magnum and when I hit the brakes it starts squealing and I already replaced the brake pads so do I need to replace the rotors ?
Toomuchsauce both
Dah

You're doing too much
8:48 damn he went to town with that wire brush
I have a 06 300 Limited What's the part number for the rear brakes cause I've tried 1057 and 1057A and neither fits.

Do rear brakes need to be bled
Is the front the same ?
God I hate how they use drums as a P-Brake
What brake grease would you recommend?
Jonathan Boykin you can just buy a little packet of brake grease if u get it at the store or otherwise you can just you regular white lithium grease is fine in my opinion
Will these fit on the 5.7

Maybe because he haa the car lift better leverage and access
How about showing the parking brake and adjustment??????????
Why didn't you crack the bleeder when you push the piston in??!!
There was no information provided on the parking brake repair!
Hello what is the name of the piece of metal i need to replace that
+LATINO CONTINENT You may be referring to the brake dust shields.

What size is the axle nut?
+Jacqueline Geiger It should be 21 mm on your model, but it can vary depending on what you have. 1aauto.com
Why won't my 2012 Chrysler 300 start
