- In this video, I take you through an LED button install for an Arcade 1up cabinet. This is an easy mod that you can do to really make a control panel pop! This is a longer video, as I wanted to show how much time one could actually expect to take when doing one of these upgrades. Don't be afraid to do these types of modifications yourself! I bought LED light buttons from DIY retro arcade. What are the options if you want the led buttons to turn off when the console turns off? I know that they sell a switch, is there anything else that we can use?
Unless something new has come along, I think the adapter kit is the only option for what you are talking about. I think the kit was $10 or something. I did it on every one of my light kit mods.
