Hugs to all of you. We are all in this together. How on earth did Trane, Bird, and all the giants figure this out so beautifully? Back to the metronome and practice room.

Such a good masterclass!! Thanks Dr Calle for letting this stay on UA-cam for those of us living too far away to attend your lectures and Thanks to Samir for posting this. Giving me so much shit to shed! I love how rich with information this lecture is and these kids are all like "wtf is non-euclidean geometry"

Awesome class Ed Calle is a Beast ! Phenomenal. Sax man musician writer etc ! He actually did break it down and made it simple, breaking down a triad is as simple as it gets .. Trust me the youth in this class that just take a little time to replay and go over and over what he taught well grasp it rather Quickly and it,ll change their whole life of music creation forever ! These are Golden Nuggets ! Great Teaching Ed !

I think that is because most of the students are too young and inexperienced to truly understand the great value of the presented information.

+Stantawn Kendrick Hi: I hope you enjoyed it. So much to learn. I'm more in awe of Coltrane and the rest each day. Geniuses.

Ed Calle absolutely! They were definitely ahead of their time and I can only imagine the process of 'Trane figuring things out. The "ah ha" moments he must have had after figuring something out. Then trying them on the bandstand or in the studio. There are several albums where you can hear him trying out things. Amazing stuff. Thanks for this again... I have several things to work on starting tomorrow morning lol!
