- The design process method I demonstrate in this video is a common one found in lots of fashion schools to get students used to thinking about their fabrics and how the drape of the fabrics will effect their design while sketching on their figures. I think it's a fun way to shake up tired brains!

OMG Zoe! This video is right on time. I've watched so many of your videos and as I'm in the middle of preparing my portfolio for Fashion Design Admission, I recall you've mentioned many times that the process page is helpful. It reminds me of my schooling days when I was taught to show my workings in Math so that the teacher could see your thought process and how you came about your conclusion. I freaking LOOOVE your channel! Thank you for every video, every tip
That math analogy is perfect!
Love your videos 💕

you're welcome!
Thank you so much!!! What a nice coincidence! I'm working at the same thing right now. Unfortunately, our teachers only told us WHAT we need to do (we need to show our work on draping) , but not HOW to do it. I had some ideas, but this helped me a lot! Thank you!
Happy to help! Good luck with your work!
Very helpful thank you ❤
You're welcome!
OMG I feel SOOOOO inspired!
Good! Go make some stuff!

You're welcome!
Loved it
thanks!
I just finished my intro to fashion class at the school of the art institute of Chicago and we’re required to do this as core of the class. The intro class is all about fabric manipulation and getting familiar with fabric as a medium.
Hi Zoe, can you make a video that concludes all the kinds of fabric that should be used as prototype for other types of fabrics? Thank you so much!
Ah! Another Zoe Hong video on my feed
I like the #s lol, but anyway I learned a lot and for me it’s cool and new technic 😍, so nice for sure I will try this to soon and just practice 😋. Thanks again.
You're welcome! Good luck and have fun!
Thank you for the good video.

I love this video! Oh please, can you make another videos like this one? Is that possible to do this even if we don't have real fabrics?
You can do this with whatever. I used muslin.
Thankyou so much 🤗it will help me in my work process . please let me know design process step by step ,how fabric sourcing and color choose from season ..
Go watch my Design Process playlist.
@@zoehongteaches okk sure😊
Love you again..nonono I mean love to more...:)
What type of printer and paper do you use?
Edit: Also, have you thought about creating a syllabus beyond the playlist? Sorry if this has been asked before.
Edit edit: do you suggest we start projects after watching each vid or should we watch all the vids first?
I'm studying fashion design and I used this method to create different drapes to make a collection. From 1 simple design I made over 10 design. Thank you very much.
Also where did you get the dry adhesive.
I don't remember.
@@zoehongteaches that's ok thanks
where can i get a Mannequin and what size should i get
Nice video Zoe so what is a medium ?
Marker is a medium. Watercolor is a medium.
If we don’t have a mannequin and can’t afford a lot of fabric. Can we get images of garments that are similar to our designs and edit on the image?
Yes, also a fun method.
This is so me. I'm absolutely AWFUL at sketching. I can't draw for shit but I can sew and drape it well on a mannequin lol.
Great! You can do multiple drapes and add multiple drapes to one design in different ways too. Good luck!
Zoe Hong Thank you! I'm starting on a simple panne velvet slip dress tomorrow and am trying to spruce it up a little, so I will definitely be implementing these ideas!
I love IPhones 😃😄😄😄😄
000 paper dolls lol
I've been unsubscribed... tons to catch up,
Have fun catching up!
