@@itsmeevan027 - you are simply adding context but Hans is correct. The lines are designed to attract betters 💵 in equal amounts on either side. The key is attracting money. A bookmaker makes no commission if there are no bets. LED Sports Forum West FWAA 1982-Present Las Vegas, NV
@@louisdeaux8620 my point is there is a balance. If all they cared about is attracting bets, they would make the best team in football and underdog at home against the worst team in football. That would attract a lot of bets. It would also lose them money. Hans downplayed the fact that the odds are indeed an outcome the sports books are expecting to happen. That is why he said they only do it to attract bets. That's wrong. They set lines to make money, which is a balance of attracting bets and making the sports book money.
Don’t do it ! You all gettin’ drunk off that blue Kool-Aid. Been watching you for years. You do a great job. Makes for good TV. But if the coaches and the team have this mentality, they won’t get past Baylor. I’m as worried as I was after Arkansas last year. It’s got to come from a different place than where you all at!
Oh no! All the dumb Hans critics are going to claim he said BYU is = to pigs in mud. 😱🤣😂🤣. I love and respect Hans because he learned his craft as a great analyst should. Also Hans is the first dude besides me that explains the lines are not about who wins by how much, but just about equalizing who money.
Hans is such an awesome guy. Byu is so lucky to have him on the broadcast.
Fearsome Foursome in background! One of best ever!
Correction - lines do NOT get set to attract betters. Lines get set to make deal books money.
