Now Russel Wilson made a career out of it but he lucked out playing for the best defense since the Ravens and Buccaneers days and had a great running game. His mechanics were all over the place, did see something Bears did mess with it a little but his backpedal from under center was bottom 3rd slowest, his release is also bottom half or bottom 3rd slow, you might say it doesn't matter BUT if you go back to last year, Raiders game Tyson Bagent spend most of the game hitting 3, 4, 5 yard outs WELL because of Fields slow mechanics, that play is gone by the time he's ready to throw, it's something that Brady, Manning, Brees feasted on and Aaron Rodgers tortured Bears tampa 2 defense with. He has more turnovers than games played I believe which is NOT a good thing for a QB. What Fields ISN'T is a west coast QB, timing and rhythm QB, which most successful teams long term happen to be.
