I've a watched a 16:47 minute video of someone making a whole mall, and I did not regret any second of it. This is so beautiful. I can't even imagine how much time you had to put in to create such a beautiful mall.
Geez, amazing. I wish this were fully functional. Ultimately, I can't make the community lots to function properly, they're most of the times empty, especially when they are in lounge mode. EA should create a patch for the lots to have more than one single function. We would be so happy. Amazing job. Definetely, this one goes directly to my gallery downloads.

In my town there are a decent number of high end shopping districts/malls and you've just captured the vibe so perfectly, plus you attention to detail and creative item use is just so inspiring, it makes me itch to go build right away
This is so...magnificent.. the details you put into the build, you even put all the minutes in part with that.. such detailed plan, I admire you so much, unlike other builders who "force" people to watch all of the video without any clear explanation beforehand assuming people have lots of time to watch all... However, I really enjoyed watching your video, thus I don't really need to skip anything since everything is perfectly on point.. I just hope the night club would be a little bit bigger xD Other than that, it's truly a masterpiece! Thanks for sharing it to us

It is beautiful, an excellent job however The Sims do not know how to move well within multi-functional spaces, unfortunately the game does not have the logic to take advantage of this type of structure properly, making the experience of using them unsatisfactory. Shopping centers are a great way to hang out with friends or family, hopefully in the future EA will be able to improve this kind of lot to enjoy creations like this.
I'd also love to see real multifunctional lots implemented in the game. For example, a possibility of having a sim to own the whole mall and to rent out its stores for other families to run would make it so much better. One can only dream... 😁 But with what we have now, I really prefer community lots that meet the requirements for various venue types as the worlds have only a few lots to build on. This way it's easy to change the lot type according to my sims' needs. To take the most out of lots like this, I assign different clubs to visit them, and I also use a mod that spawns in NPCs regardless of lot type. In my game the mall is a place where sims go to sharpen their skills, get together with their friends and family for a meal or a night out, get their photos taken, and where (mostly younger) sims throw their birthday parties...
I always had a doubt about this type of videos. Are they for college assignments for architecture students? Or are they architects? Or do they do it just for fun and they only know how to build perfectly in the sims? I always had that doubt because these constructions seem from someone very professional. Anyway, I love these videos

Since my game crashes every time I try to download this great lot, I'm trying to play it myself in game by following this video. However, once the basement and three floors are built it doesn't allow me to build anything anymore. How did you manage to build more than three floors? Is there a code to unlock the building beyond the third floor?
The game allows me to build 4 above-ground floors (and 4 basement levels). I don't use cheats for that. I don't know why you are limited to only 3 (maybe it's a bug). On the very top floor, where the ladder leads to, I could place a room with the floor only (can't build full walls there, because it's the 5th level above the ground). I don't know any cheats that would let us build higher.
1st of all) what a knockout like hot damn. 2nd) it feels like you would have to every expansion for this I play just the vanilla version have not seen the majority of these items. Specifically all the signage and store related stuff
I agree that the retail system is lacking at the moment. However, when compared to some later expansion packs, Get To Work offered a lot. They can always make a Kit (or several) for improved retail, though. 😄
This type of stop motion build videos are made with lots of screenshots. First the entire building is built and then its parts are removed one by one as screenshots are taken. Then the screenshots and cinematic videos of camera movements are put together in a video editing software. That's the general idea. One of the first to make videos like that in The Sims 4 is ArchiSim (although before them there were some videos out there about earlier The Sims games, too). Stop motion videos became more popular when youtuber Marmelad got a lot of attention. Now there are quite many stop motion youtubers because there are tutorials about how those videos are made. When I started, there were none so I had to invent everything myself. I think the first to make a video tutorial on the subject was a channel called angie does sims.
I also wish there was a separate cinema lot type. With what we have I usually add sims into a group and have them watch a movie together to make it look like a full cinema experience.
If you play with mods, I recommend the mod Auto Employees by LittleMsSam. It adds a custom lot trait, which, when assigned to the lot, spawns NPCs for coffee shop, bar, and DJ booth automatically regardless of venue type, so your sims don't have to pay to hire them. For other stores, you could create a club of employees (using Get Together club system) with this mall as their hangout place. Club interactions should be based on the interactive objects like workbenches in the stores. Then there should always be sims around the stores. I can't think of any other way... I really hope that one day we won't have to search for mods or workarounds for that.
