She is not happy and keeps mentioning it in every interview but no one listens. I hope she finds peace even if its outside of music.
🎯🎯🎯
she’ll probably disappear like bjork soon
Maybe Im wrong, but can't she just stop at some point?
The people in her inner circle listen, that’s all that matters. Everything else is just noice in the vacuum like she said.
@@JoyEmpressprobably depends on her contract. Not always her choice.
This woman could never understand how much we appreciate her. Healing art, authentic relatable human.
I’m 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
literallyy
‼‼‼‼‼
Nah when I saw the vid of her on stage in the black spandex, I was staring & that 🐈 was purring.. I definitely felt connected
Because no one around her will allow positivity managers are evil and want to keep artists hostage
She so real for opening up. I think anxiety is no joke and it distorts reality and I hope she finds peace in all the fame.
i relate with it so mucn i hate my anxiety sm it makes me paranoid and a wreck idk if i can fix it
a lot of people treat anxiety like it's being nervous or not that serious it's so maddening
She never will. Fame isn’t natural and it can really ruin someone’s mental state I feel for her.
@@psycherevivedby it's because every single human experiences "anxiety" , which is super normal. But what most people don't experience is an actual crippling anxiety disorder that can wreak havoc on their entire life. Then when someone with an anxiety disorder talks about anxiety, the person who has only dealt with the feeling of anxiety every once in a while will assume that the person is basically talking about just being nervous , and act like it isn't serious, which isn't the case.
@@VEGAS-NERVE exactly.
She’s not unhappy. She’s just human. She’s navigating something huge. Let’s stop painting this narrative that she is not alright. She’s allowed to express her anxieties.
A lot of people these days can’t tell the difference because unfortunately so many people are in fact not happy….
@@dawb86I don’t necessarily think she’s unhappy. What she talks about and the way that she perceives herself and her surroundings may seem like she’s unhappy, I think she’s most likely not happy at times but not necessarily all the time. She’s just very aware of herself and others, so she knows how to communicate what she goes through and how people affect her whether that be in a good or bad way. I’m like this as well and from my experience, I’m honestly not happy all the time. I feel that happiness is a feeling you get that fades away, it’s just a state being momentarily. This doesn’t mean that i’m calling out for help, it’s just how I feel. Can’t do much about it. just gotta get through the days like any other person
Sorry if it doesn’t make sense 👻.
@@mireyaleyva5618 You're right, happiness is fleeting-- something we sort of chase, like a high.
None of us really know if this artist is "happy" or not, but i worry that she doesn't like herself very much. I wonder that about all folks who get lots of plastic surgery, it always seems to me they're doing a sort of violence to themselves and can't stop.
100 percent!
have you heard Saturn, girl literally said she doesn’t want to be on this planet anymore
Her self-awareness is a key component of her success in my opinion. She knows when she’s overwhelmed and how to ground herself
That’s what I enjoy about her she’s very Transparent
Absolutely!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
But even that is so difficult being aware & grounding yourself while still having anxiety. It’s so beautiful & heroic
@@EssentialsbyBague Yes, it is!!
wow i didn’t expect this interview to hit so hard…she’s so honest and self aware about her feelings, it’s very refreshing to see someone be so vulnerable on camera
Very refreshing- makes her more than just her music ❤
So vulnerable
Shoutout to apple music for not having ad breaks so we could enjoy this interview seamlessly. SZA really just expanded me so much!
it comes off to me that these kind of interviews are such a big step for her. i hope she’s proud of herself because she has come so far and has worked so hard to get here! i’m just happy that we get to be apart of her journey as an artist and get to enjoy & connect with all the music she shares with us
For real speak to the people
SZA is an incredibly talented and versatile artist, SOS raised the level of R&B in the middle of last year, and throughout the current year, it's no wonder that according to Spotify, thanks to her, the genre's revenue on the platform increased by more than 20%. definitely, SZA gave us the best album of the year!
These interviews really let us in probably more than she’s comfortable with but as a true core fan I appreciate it so much just to understand where she’s at in her mind. Thank you for taking the time to go in depth. It really means a lot . Thank you.
her personality is so grounded compared to others on her level of celebrity status or even higher. i’ve always loved when she speaks her mind bc she’s sooo genuine and it’s a breath of fresh air. idk her humility is admirable and inspiring. like her thoughts of not even feeling connected to her work is so real and it shows you more she’s just a person, and i wish people would stop putting her on this pedestal and critiquing her based on their own perceptions. she’s just a beautiful person making beautiful music
Her lifestyle and what we deem a “celebrity lifestyle” is very conflicting she’s constantly resisting and staying true to herself which is beautiful
It really hasn't been a female singer with her complexion breaking records like this since Brandy & Lauryn Hill
And i really appreciate her vulnerability so very much. She deserves success, but she also deserves her peace
Rihanna anyone?
Funny you mentioned brandy because she kinda looks like her but her singing definitely reminds me of brandy
@@tajsimms8976 they took a picture together at the Renaissance Tour
The resemblance is most definitely there
@@G0ddEityawesomeRihanna is not the same complexion but she is the same race
SO TRUE! EVERY time that I see her...I think of Brandy!
Zane is seriously one of the beat interviewers. He cares, he asks important things, he listens.
This was the best Zane interview… because he didn’t talk much. Finally an artist got to the tell their process and perspective without being interrupted a thousand times. SZA ran the interview.
But he did😂
A young person having to work out all your insecurities, emotions and anxieties in front of the public while also trying to create art must be exhausting. Some people just ain’t built for it and shouldn’t feel like they have to be something that they are not just to be heard. Hope she can stay strong, keep good people and energy around her and continues to mature and grow into herself without self destructing.
Thank you for saying this. I agree and it’s nice to hear 🦋
She need a GREAT partner in her life. She seems like a person who thrives and feeds off of authentic LOVE!
I'm omw to here rescue don't trip 🦸♂️
Everyone is talking how SOS is a great album, but she was so good at Z and outstanding at CTRL. Excellent at conveying emotions throughout her career. Loved her before and love her now.
This is so true
i see a lot of ctrl love and how much better it is than sos everywhere
Sza unbelievable and unbreakable and unthinkable
Exactly! I play every album from start to finish.
Z and ctrl are my favorites
The way she gets her point across and describes things is so admirable
52.41 minutes of Sza, she’s spoiling us 😩😍
Right 😫
I love Sza's genuineness and honesty and vulnerability. I truly relate to those qualities in her and always strive to better myself. Not just for me but for the benefit of those around me. So to see that she shares those values, is incredibly inspiring. Especially with the rumours about her temper and credibility, it's clear that she's not that. She's well rounded and trying. A commendable and human experience.
This has to be one the best interviews of an artist I've seen and I'm someone who grew up in the culture of Oprah who gave these deep and profound interviews and I feel that Zane is in that same style of interviewing that I appreciate a lot. SZA is a profound artist whose honesty here is quite compelling and beautiful to watch. I admire her even more after watching this. From her talks about anxiety, to her style of writing, to connecting with her fans, to the importance of communicating and personal growth. I appreciate what she's shared with us and continues to share. Love her and looking forward to the deluxe. Much love to you SZA.
totally! never made the Oprah connection but you're so right, he's such a good listener and really gets artistry and being a creative person. I used to listen to Zane on BBC Radio 1 when I was a child in the UK, amazing to see how far he's come
How dare you mention oprah and SZA. Oprah is evil , SZA is genuine
she's so hard on herself and its aggravating-- woman u. are literally a key part of music-- legendary
You dont know what anxiety is like then
@@skiff51 I definitely do. But sometimes you gotta look at the facts. Feeling isn’t always fact.
@@honeylala9906 If you can turn it off simply by thinking about the 'facts', then it isn't really anxiety. Real anxiety continues even when you logically know that everything is ok. Anyways, stop speaking for her, when she's the one experiencing it.
We need artists like SZA she’s the reason why ppl say music can heal ppl. I found CTRL in 2018 and it truly helped me out during a dark period in my life. Just her being able to put into words how I was feelings accompanied by beautiful beats and Melodie’s to just sit and sway to was something that I desperately needed. I honestly don’t think I’d be able to pull through if it wasn’t for that album. I hope she understands the power she holds…not many are able to do that.
Edit: SOS is gorgeous too the lyrics just always leave me in awe. Like…her mind ugggh.
I hope SZA finds some peace. She’s deserves it.
She is so open this felt like a therapy session🤍
her music is so vulnerable that it’s scary. She says things that i could never say out loud but i read the lyrics and wish i could give her a hug sometimes.
She’s so vulnerable and honest with us even when she doesn’t need to be. I love her!!
She’s standing on the edge of the unknown. I love her SO much
This interview is pure spiritual medicine 🙌🏾
exactly
Yes indeed
She’s saying so many relatable things, just the human experience, it’s very refreshing!
“wait the interview is starting” is killing me shes so real 😂
Stoppppp I’m the guy in the video at 7:38. I legit love SZA CRYING😭😭😭
This is probably *the* most inspired, vulnerable and honest interview that Zane Lowe has ever done. I was transfixed throughout, hanging on to every one of SZA's words. Never mind Lana; we need a *deluxe edition* of this conversation.
SZA is such a real & genuine artist and this interview definitely backs that up. The way she is so unapologetically herself & explains things to us how they go down in her head is so appreciated & real. We know anxiety is real & we appreciate anything SZA shares with us because us real fans know how deep it is for her to share anything. SZA is so loved & I hope she always remembers that. It's okay to feel the way she does & none of us can say anything about it because we aren't in her shoes. I can't imagine being watched by millions of people & everyone is perceiving you & pressuring you to be someone they want you to be. SZA we hear you. you're so so special & loved
It’s only been 17 minutes in so far and it seems an hour. She really has a LOT to talk about and heavy emotions
I don’t blame her to be honest she filmed this while touring and she probably doesn’t have time to really talk about her emotions other then this interview because she’s on the go 24/7
I agree but in the most adoring way bc I love her voice and I love that she can actually be honest and vulnerable about what she’s going through and her own perceptions of herself/the world, and I just think she’s real asf
I saw this at 13 mins it feels like a movie interesting to her out ❤
I love all you guys responses 🫶🏽 you guys definitely get it and fill in the blanks well ❤
Her ability to be honest and herself is the reason she is mother. I love connecting on different levels with SZA. I went to 2 shows and she is just that girl. I love everything about her. She is everything and she is everything I want an need in this life. ❤️
I legitimately haven’t heard an artist at her level being this articulate since Madonna. She explains and expresses herself very well. It’s refreshing.
Really? Since Madonna? …
SZA is literally a safe space for ME.
Her music healed me in so many ways, I hope the universe returns to her what she’s done for others💚✨
What an incredibly rare glimpse into the creative world of SZA. This inspired me deeply. Her songwriting is so raw and authentic. She has such a huge array of songs in her library, many of them unfinished of course, but I look forward to a day in the distant future when some kind of box release happens to celebrate her career and we get high quality versions of everything they can find on her hard drives. :')
i wish nothing but the best for her, my favourite woman that’s ever walked this planet fr
I love it when she talked about taste and beauty. As an artist, I do feel the same. ❤😢

She’s one of the most candid and beautiful souls on this planet
She is the essence of ADHD sensitivity, I relate to her so so much. I suffer from rejection-sensitivity dysphoria and my deepest fear is being perceived. Having that high level of sensitivity makes you both incredibly creative and open with your emotions, and it can also create debilitating anxiety and low self-esteem. A blessing and a curse. We love you SZA
She does have adhd
Zane definitely fits her energy. I was thoroughly entertained this entire interview. Like this was such a thoughtful interview. I learned so much about myself in watching this interview and I love watching things that bring that genuine enlighteningment outta me.
She’s so beautiful. I can’t believe how soulful and compassionate she is. True queen
We can relate to the struggle, she’s real and that’s where a lot of her inspirational value comes from, thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable and open
Her energy speaks with an ethereal volume. 🪐
It’s scary looking back at the past with a wiser mindset but so beautiful to see the evolution and growth. Such a beautiful soul Solàna 😭😭
The way SZA is so much grounded as a person being such a creative artist>>>>>
She deserves all the success she's getting. She's honestly one of the best artists around 🙌🏼❤
This Man is the BEST interviewer!!! He asked the BEST questions and does his research!! Actually listens to The artist's songs and has this uncanny ability to make the artists feel comfortable. No messy questions JUST straight music talk. Please NICKI do another interview with him
She is literally so real. No cap. It's that scorpio thought process. I love her and I don't know her.
She is a true artist and tbh if she did decide to disappear her art will live on so corny but it's just facts. She tapped in. She has nothing to prove.
I saw her in Vegas & it was INCREDIBLE !!!!! She is amazing live! And honestly it makes me SO SAD to think that she doesn’t listen to her own music. Her music is gold.
she’s so incredibly talented and such a beautiful soul. especially when she talked about healthy relationships and working on herself / being more honest, that was so inspirational 🥹🫶🏾
i loved how honest she was about her anxiety i cried so much watching this.❤
Her talking about shooting her energy to the back of the arena is so cute I love her so much!!!!!
SZA is so real and aware she can be so deep and I love that about her. I feel her
I really appreciated how honest she was throughout that entire interview
when she started talking about how her purpose is love bc she finds beauty in so much i just started tearing up bc thats so relatable. honestly the entire interview is
Solana has been my fave artist for a decade. I truly love her and she can do no wrong in my eyes. ❤
Facts
her honesty is to die for. she's a real one
What a great, real and relatable conversation. Hearing these feelings and thoughts be expressed by someone at Sza’s level of success is SO important for young and less established creatives feeling the same things and thinking they’re experiencing them in isolation. Thank you for talking so honestly and letting us perceive you.
I love her sm , she’s so real, relatable and talking from grown up point , like she’s already moved on but at the same time pointing out all the things she’s feeling or afraid of , I love the sos album it’s speaks to me and hope all the best for her
She is such a human presence. I really hope we don’t lose her. She’s given (and has so much more) to give the world.
Much respect to SZA. So vulnerable and open about her struggles, and doing so with grace
I LOVE YOU GIRL!!!!! YOUR SO BRAVE FOR DOING THIS INTERVIEW, ITS SO CALMING, COMFORTING AND INSPIRTIONAL!!!
28:10 SZA girl… you don’t need to!! Your work is SO good regardless. Keep following your art 🩷
I was longing for Sza to sit with Zane to have a profound interview. I left Trinidad 🇹🇹 to see Sza perform at Barclay center on the 6th October. I was in awe and so grateful that despite her being sick she was able to give us a stellar performance. I love your art Sza and I connect to you and your music in so many ways. I wish you the best on your journey. You have made my year. 🙏🏽
SZA, Thank you for your openness, vulnerability and energy. Your pure heart radiates throughout this interview and I could relate to so much of what you were saying that I was smiling throughout this. Your music has always been art and you are energy ❤️💫
Wow she speaks from such a deep place. And she radiates. I feel like i'm looking at a glowing aura, as if she is pure light and energy/vibes. Her self-awareness, authenticity, and spirituality is so inspiring. Love SZA always
Its so crazy how she probably doesn’t understand that I literally cry at the thought of even hearing her in real life especially to her song Good Days. Sometimes I’m afraid to hear that song because I will start crying at how much I love this song and how much I love most of her songs and how much I just love her
When she talks about her love and her grandma coming to her St. Louis show I can literally see her aura she’s glowing.
Sza such a incredible artist her pen writing is so inspiring and meaningful this girl deserves all her flowers and the world this girl work so hard on that album she already nominated for a grammy she deserves it I'm so proud of her she came a long way 💗 ❤😍
Her personality and her music literally has the power to give life...she's such an interesting and beautiful human being...and It's crazy she doesn't even realize how good she is...🥺🤯..she's a superhero mutant...naturally gifted giving us only 75% of what she's capable of and still k!llin it🔥🔥
We wouldn’t be mad if she disappeared for a moment. Even the best of the best need time to regroup, evolve, or simply need a moment of rest. That will make us miss her so much more, and we will be thrilled to hear new music. I believe if she takes the time to step back, her music will evolve to that peaceful place she wants it to be. This interview should have been longer!
I can totally relate with the anxiety that she feels. Also I am so grateful for her transparency. Thank you Sos! I love you deep ❤
Yo. I’m from New York and I just feel like the energy now is so fake and aesthetically motivated now. I knew so many people who went to see it that weren’t even fans in NY. Just wanted to be there because it was a hot tour by the moment.
I flew to Toronto to see her and I’m so happy I did. The energy was turnt!
I’m confused didn’t she cancel toronto
For real I was there night one nyc it felt like everyone was there just for the aesthetics/social media
Portland crowd was incredible as well
@@Kaicore7 no lol 😂 it was one of her earliest shows. Maybe she cancelled a second showing there!
@@g3raly one of my favorite podcasts went and all they talked about was who they saw in the crowd - like zero takeaways from the actual show 😡. The people in Toronto were so turnt to be there. ❤️
I knew to follow my intuition- sza taught me lol
She’s genuinely a beautiful person! She needs to know how loved she really is. We love you SZA.❤
This made me 1000x more excited to hear the deluxe and whatever else is to come
It’s crazy cus her older music is so raw and organic by far my favorite
I really appreciate how vulnerable she was able to be in this interview, good talk💯
She’s just so real.
Sza said something very important as im taking her advice on my artists journey as well & she says " prayer & i cut my circle down really small, we keep it light & thats the answer, quiet & less"
This made me so emotional. It’s so relatable and vulnerable. So thankful she decided to do this. Thank you SZA. We love you ❤ wish you nothing but healing, love and peace.
I love her aura so much. I relate to her spirit so much. One of the most genuine celebrities out there.
I wish Sza would see & hear what we do 😭😭 God wrap your arms around her please 🙏🏾 😇
i hope she realizes how much we love her 🙃
Scorpios in a funk can be really dark and sad 😢 Zane did a great job speaking light into her and reverting the convo back to a more celebratory note. Wish she believed in her artistry and herself as much as we do 🙏🏿
She's really humble and blessed and very positive anxiety is hard to suffer and she is blessed because she hates attention and that means she is not a pick me girl which is good and sza ur really and very blessed and I hate being on video as well and I don't like when people look at me as well I get really really uncomfortable
I’ve been a fan of SZA’s since I saw her on SNL years ago! But this, strangely, is the first interview I’ve seen with her! She’s so beautiful and smart! She needs to get a handle on her internal monologue. She talked about getting her spiritual hygiene in order but your mental diet is foundation for all of it! Your feelings are a biproduct or your thoughts! You want to feel calm, feel better, focus on thoughts that affirm that! 🥰🥰🥰. Feel better Queen! You deserve to be where you are! Period.
Know that she felt comfortable enough to come on camera and tell us how she feels, whats in her mind and what she thinks when it comes to her own music really just opened up a whole new door for us to know more about her, to really get to understand her and how she got here. She is such an amazing person.
this is one of the most beautiful interviews i’ve ever watched and listened to. sza has such a unique brilliant soul and i loved everything i learned from this. love u sza and zane! 🤍
“I never did it for the bar, I did it for respect” 🥶😮💨 that was a bar.
I love her so much. She is so relatable and this interview wrapped up a lot of similar fears I could never explain in words.
I truly respect this woman, as someone who wants to be in the film industry but also suffer from anxiety she makes me want to pursue that AND use my platform to be a voice for the true anxiety struggle
Shes always been open, always been vulnerable always had a huge heart always have let us know this was not her plan or intention to become a famous singer. It just happened and ever since she has been working her way through being in the public eye which comes with constant scrutiny and pressure. Ive always loved just how real she has been since she first came on the scene. Same girl just a little older and a lot wiser. Always wishing the best for her. ❤
Love her so much my crush, my fav person❤️ so grateful for her music, her energy, her artistry. I hope things get better for her personally
Sending her love and understanding, may she find the beauty and peace that she is and seeks!
I love her so much. I’m praying for her!
Thank you for you!!! You’re helping heal others . We are grateful!
