We take ours down January 6th, as a Catholic, we celebrate Christmas for 12 days afterwards. This is when the Kings (wisemen) reached baby Jesus. Love watching all of your videos.
We are also Catholic and my mom took tree and nativity set down until February right after Candlemas when baby Jesus was presented to the temple 40 days after his birth.
We leave our decor up through the 12 days of Christmas at least- so the 6th of January. We might leave it up an extra week this year, because our real tree is still looking so good! Not dried out at all!
I can't take down my tree in the living room yet. My cat is in love with it. 😂 But seriously, we are acclimating her from the outdoors to inside and because under the tree has been her favorite place since she came inside, I'm afraid I might accidentally traumatize her by taking it down. It is nice to start fresh for the New Year by undecorating and clearing space. Happy New Year! 💕 😊
I adopted a cat that was feral (outside cat). It takes about a year to get them fully acclimated and still i have to be careful going in and out. But its worth it!
I think it’s cruel to make a cat that is use to being outside all its life to staying inside all the time. They try and run to the door for a reason, they miss the outdoors. Believe me if you feed them they will come back and not run away.
That’s so sweet! We have a cat who adopted us. She’s an outdoor kitty. We couldn’t bring her in if we wanted to. Both my husband and I are allergic to cats. Last winter we had some unusual really cold days, so we had to let her stay in the garage on those days. She seemed to do well in the garage. She’s a sweet cat. I really wish I could find a good home for her. We provide as much warmth as we could figure out for her. Using a Chiminea with a heat light pointing down from the top and a Khushi bed inside helps. Luckily, we don’t get very cold winters.
I take down Christmas…..BUT, LEAVE anything that is generic snow/Winter themed decor up through February. I switch to Easter/ Spring decor on April. I take down the snow/Winter and sub with St. Valentine’s (in Feb) and St. Patrick’s (in March). I find that decorating for the seasons really brings me joy and helps me enjoy life more. I started when I had kids at home and then small grandchildren. The youngest is now 12 and I still do it 😉
I am very much a "less is better" girl. I started last year at this time, cutting way back on decor. I have loved it. I took my Christmas down two days after Christmas. I was more than ready. Now I will start decluttering holiday decorations.
I have the white village houses going down my dining room table on a long wood board. I may leave them for decoration all year. My accents are white so I hope they look okay
What a productive day!!! I'm waiting until January 6th...Epiphany...then the fun begins!!! I do miss the colorful atmosphere Christmas brings to our home. Happiness and Blessings in the New Year!!!❤😊
I’m 70 and my storage is very limited and up a full flight of marble spiral staircase! I live in Piraeus Greece and most apartments don’t have much storage. I do keep my decor pretty organised but it’s still quite a challenge. I feel that if I don’t keep up with my decorating, especially at Christmas (my favourite) it just ages me quicker to be lazy😅! I’ve been watching this and I feel the inspiration to get it done! I do go all out at Christmas my home becomes a Christmas wonderland and my Greek family and friends love it, as I do. I want to thank you for all your help during all the year because you are such a lovely woman and I admire you so much. God bless!
I take it down on Little Christmas, January 6th. I love sitting in the dark with just the lights of the tree glowing, I'll miss that. It will take a couple of days to get it all down and packed away. I will enjoy letting the house breathe a little before I redecorate. I do enjoy a little minimal time! I've really downsized my decor big time and enjoying only what I truly love!! ❤
I usually take down my Christmas decor the day after Christmas, and it’s a lot. Some people don’t take their decor down until after Jan. 6th because the twelve days of Christmas begin Christmas Day and last until January 6th. 😊
My husband is the same way. He literally doesn't see it until you point it out!😪😅 You should make a tote just for solid red items. Like those canisters & other items you can use for Valentine's Day & Patriotic decor. That way, you don't have to dig later. 🥰
I decorate with a lot of snowmen, pine cones and birds mixed in with Christmas decor. A few days after Christmas I start taking down the tree, pack away Santa, and leave much of the rest. I wish I could have the tree longer but it is a real tree. I love to get up early in the morning and turn on the lights, it’s the only reason I would consider a faux tree.
I just took down certain things depicting Christmas items! January 6 th, today we are having a snow storm so I am getting caught up on my you tube videos n to start working on it some, but I decorate for winter n enjoy the season as well! It all works out because I am leaving mainly everything up n just adding snowflakes etc n taking down merry Christmas signs etc. I am leaving the pops of red up through Valentine’s Day n it all looks great plus I get to enjoy my stuff! I don’t decorate for holidays other than Christmas n just do seasons mainly, but our kids are grown! For smaller children,I think parents should decorate n teach them about it n why we celebrate it n give the kids the opportunity to know about! Great video n thank u for sharing Crystal, hope the hubs is ok n we gotta watch for deer a lot here too! Happy 2024 n new year’s to u n yours, praying it gets better for us all soon! Enjoy! 😊❤️🎁💕⭐️🎉
I am putting all my Xmas stuff this weekend. We had our 2 sons home for the holidays. They are Airmen living away from us. We were lucky to have both this Xmas and New Year.🎉
I got Christmas completely packed up and put away. My grandson is not going to be happy with us. He loves the holidays and decorating. But I like the cleanliness with all the clutter put away and the house clean.
We have been enjoying doing puzzles this season witth my two grown daughters being home before they move into their own places. I have a trick that has worked really well for us. We do the puzzle on our dining table but I use a really large poster board but it is plastic and thick. I think I might have gotten it at a craft store. What is great is that the puzzle fits on it and extra pieces but when we need the table I can just lift it off and carry it to another place for the meal. Works great
I took most of my decorations down, except for the living room. We're expecting a big snowstorm this weekend. We haven't had snow on Christmas for about 10 years so I'm looking forward to one more Christmas-like weekend with snow.
Our kids don’t go back until a week after new years. My husband’s bday is today so I’ll start to pack up starting tomorrow. My goal is to have everything done for my son’s 18th birthday on the 13th. I’m going to really miss the lights . It adds a little something to the deep dark nights of winter.
I wait until after Jan. 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany to take down my Christmas decorations. I transfer over to winter decor before taking the rest down the first week of February for St. Valentines Day.
I wish I was a stay at home mom and had the house to myself to clean lol! I'm a teacher, when the kids go back, I go back! As it stands, I utilize my break and take things down the day after christmas
We don’t typically take down our entire Christmas decor until Feb 1st….but I do rearrange and take down ALL “Christmas” items and transition into a winter natural feel. The tree will stay up with limited ornaments it’s a more neutral look for sure
I hope to get my trees down soon. My Christmas was a little unusual this year. I was in a car accident on Christmas Eve and spent most of Christmas Eve in hospital. Then two days later caught what was going around in the hospital and am still sick. I love to have a warm cozy look for winter.
I usually take down Christmas decorations after January 6th. We’ve also been sick in our family so I am starting tomorrow. I like to take my time and organize everything. Happy NewYear!
I take my decor down after Jan 6th - The Epiphany and I go right into decorating my trees with Mardi Gras decor. I have a recommendation for your mantle decorating. Try draping it on your mantle with Command hook straps. That will keep it from sitting on the mantle and interfering with the TV sensor
Great to see you lady! That's alot of floor to clean. I'm exhausted from just watching! lol So happy you got to enjoy your home for Christmas. It's well deserved. ❤
When Christmas is over I'm ready to put it away. It's always a little sad but like you said it feels so good to clean & get things back to normal. Loving the minimal look.
I feel the same about taking Christmas decor down. It makes me feel sad and the place feel empty but it is also nice to start the year off with less stuff out. And lol, that’s funny, my husband and kids get annoyed with the garland blocking the tv sensor too.
Im glad i cleared out all my christmas decor the day after christmas. The place do seem a bir lighter i dont own as many as some people but glad im finished it has served ita purpose back to normal.
I decorated a little differently this year (I change up my decor every year) I decorated more wintry so that I can leave it longer. I have lots of live greenery (just cut branches from trees in my yard) and pine cones. It still looks good. I will take down the actual Xmas stuff gradually. The tree is down already. That was my husbands job.
I start taking my Christmas down on Jan 6th. I have a lot so it takes at least 2 weeks because I also deep clean a room at a time and also clean every Christmas item before I put it away so it's clean and ready to put up next season. I leave one of my (small) Christmas trees up until around Feb 6th that represents the 3 Wise Men's visit (Epiphany) to the baby Jesus.
My Christmas decorations are still up, but I don't have but a small bin of decorations to take down. I don't have a set time to take them down, just when the mood strikes me.
I’m just surprised you took down your hot cocoa bar especially with the next few months of cold weather coming! I’m keeping mine up until spring! lol sometimes it snows here in April 😮
I take my decor down a few days after Christmas i never leave it up till after the new year. Like you said when you decorate so early you have plenty of time to enjoy it! I love a fresh clean blank space 😊
No mam, never take my Christmas decor down until after epiphany date, at least. Of course, I don't decorate til after Thanksgiving, so it's just barely been over a month. Lol, my hub is oblivious half the time, too!😂 Happy New Year!🎉
I took all of my christmas decor already before new year. But i switched some of the greens into a Winter Type of decor. White, naturals with small touches of navy. But no Gold, no red anymore and no tree 😉 Hope to See Winter Inspirations before going back to everyday decor. 😊 Thanks for your Videos, they are really inspiring. Greetings from Germany 🤗
Here in NC kids don’t go back to school until January 8th 😳. I love this time of year when everything is quiet and calm, I love a clean slate in my home, Fluffy pillows and blankets and lots of live plants as decor, I just breathe better. I love your living room all open and sun shining through, so beautiful. To me this is the most wonderful time of year🥰
I took my decor down 2 days ago. I also go by a feeling. And every year I take it down at different times. Im also feeling like I’m loving the blank spaces.
I still have my Christmas tree up. Its a small 6 foot slim tree so not very big. I took the decorations off but moved it over to my dining room. My husbands keeps asking when Im going to take it down. I like it in my dining room, so it just may go back there next year, I can still see it from my living room and it gives me more space in my living room.
Ours came down day after Christmas because I'm not well and with hubby back at wrk the next day it would of been too much for me alone whilst I'm dealing with these health isuess so it was so nice that he helped me take it a down and I must admit as much as I love it up but we've had it up since mid Nov so it feels nice having house fresh and minimal again
I haven't yet, mainly because I was sick the entire month of December and didn't finish decorating the tree til 2 days before Christmas, so I want to enjoy it a little longer before I take it back down. Usually I take stuff down the week after New Year's.
Sorry to hear about your husband's car mishap with the deer. Maybe he should inquire about a rental through insurance to alleviate the stress of one car. I also enjoyed taking down my Christmas this year and am enjoying the fresh neutral Winter vibe. Happy New Year
It's a process for me setting up for Christmas and taking down. I take my time. You look great. What is your health and fitness routine. You have lost weight and look very nice. ❤
My husband also hit a deer, and the insurance total his car. I just started taking down my decor, and im already tired. The tree is the last to come down.
I broke down and bought me a king of christmas christmas tree. I was really sick through christmas this year. I did not feel well. I never got amy of my decorations out. I did drag my christmas trees out but two of the three that i have were broken. Ive been babying them for years. Im excited for next christmas hopefully i wont be sick and i can enjoy putting up my new tree. I got the 8 foot sprouse tree. I wanted the 12 foot tree but didnt want to spend that much on a tree plus i thought that a 12 foot tree would be much more work to put up and down.
I wrap all breakable items including fragile ornaments in tissue paper or newspaper. Sure takes me a lot longer. Couldn't believe it when I saw you just putting all your stuff in the bins! Maybe I'll try it. (Doubt I can do it)😂
Have you ever seen where you can put ports in your kitchen drawers for charging devices? It becomes a charging station but is hidden away in a drawer and not out on the counter
The day after I was so ready b/c my closet was driving me insane, as I was storing me every day home decor in there as I didn't feel like hauling it to the basement. A lot of my larger items that take up too much room in bins, I just put clear plastic bags over them to protect from dust, etc. Just love, love this channel.
We took out tree down last night & I’ll finish putting the last bits of decor away tomorrow…then Sat is cleaning DayQuil😝. Happy New Year to you & your family.
I have taken mine down too.The weather has been so different in Southern Wisc.No snow to speak of .Very cloudy and gloomy days so when I took the tree down it really brightened up the living room.Have a great week.
You probably have rental car coverage under your auto policy, you could have gotten rental car. You would be reimburse for it by your insurance company if you have full coverage, which I'm sure you probably do. Also, I would make that back room where all your boxes are the gym room, it would be perfect.
I am just starting to switch from Christmas to winter. I use all of my snowmen and snowflakes for winter rather than Christmas. Otherwise it feels too empty to me.
Jan 2, your kids go back to school?!!! Wow. That must be nice. I’ve still got at least one here until the ninth. There’s no way I could take down all my decor in the same amount of time. I’ve got nearly every room decorated and I scaled way back this year, and even working flat out (Sahm) and I’m still not even close.
I’ve taken down Christmas decor, but I still have my Christmas tree up. I’ve switched over to a winter theme. All of the things that were Christmas are now winter like snowflakes and snowy trees and that sort of thing. I love keeping my tree up through January.❄️
I’ve been taking my Christmas down for a couple days now. I went shopping with my daughter and 2 grandsons on New Year’s Day so I started a day late. As I’ve gotten older it takes a bit longer, but I should be done today. I still had 1 tree up in my office so during your video I took it down, thanks for the inspiration! I have to wrap all our breakables because my husband has to turn them sideways to carry up our small attic stairs. I love your kitchen so much! You have so much counter and cabinet space!
I’ll take down my trees this weekend. But pretty much everything else is done, sans the big shelf on our stair landing. It’s always the last decorated and the last to come down-only because we have to get the step ladder onto that small landing (split staircase). And yes Crystal!!! I packed away very intentionally this year! I use clear totes so I can see what’s in them. All of the master bedroom stuff-even my new tree-was packed away in there. Lots of space bags and rearranging my closet. Thank goodness it’s a huge walk-in!!!
Epiphany and the 12 days of Christmas are both still pretty popular where we live. So I don’t take Christmas down until January 6th after we bake king cake. I don’t put up Christmas until after Thanksgiving because it is still very fallish here in November/early December. So it is probably about the same amount of time being up.
Happy New Year Crystal! 🎉 I usually travel out of town for Christmas so I take down the obvious Christmas decor (reds, Santa's, etc) right before and leave all the fir tree plants, fur pillows, snowflakes, furry throws, etc up for the winter here (Jan-Feb) for it to feel cozy and warm. I don't have a tree so it doesn't take too long. Since December is hectic I devote this month to relaxing and catching up on Christmas videos.
Guuuurrrrl... I want a quarter of your energy!! You made the tare down seem so smooth! I'm the kind of person I want the Christmas decor to stay up for a bit longer... but I don't typically begin decorating until after Thanksgiving is over. So I like to enjoy it for a while longer... at least until the Feast of the Epiphany has come and gone. Then I like to leave some things that doubled as Christmas decor out bc they also are so pretty they can be out for the winter season also! If only yt would let us post pics, I could show you what I mean. One thing I bought this year im gonna leave out is a lantern that has a snow and church with a couple pine trees and a mini street light on the front side of the church. I love.looking at it so much, I'm going to keep it out until February! Also a few nature type pieces. I have Christmas moose that sits on my toilet next to a battery candle, plus a couple pine tree pics inside a basket. That is gonna stay and so is the scene I created from hobby lobby, a figurine piece of a sitting deer in front of a few pine trees is surround by bottle brush trees and a couple mini buckets with logs and pinecone in them. Also a Santa that looks like he belongs at a log cabin! Lastly on my wall is a few pine pice in a white basket and next to that is an old fashioned red truck with a barn behind it with snow wall art.
We take ours down January 6th, as a Catholic, we celebrate Christmas for 12 days afterwards. This is when the Kings (wisemen) reached baby Jesus. Love watching all of your videos.
Epiphany!!!❤❤❤
We are also Catholic and my mom took tree and nativity set down until February right after Candlemas when baby Jesus was presented to the temple 40 days after his birth.
Have a blessed Epiphany 🙏🏼
I decorate after Thanksgiving and I taking down Christmas decoration after January 6. I go with winter decoration until the end of February.
We leave our decor up through the 12 days of Christmas at least- so the 6th of January.
We might leave it up an extra week this year, because our real tree is still looking so good! Not dried out at all!
The Epiphany is on January 6th, I keep my Christmas tree up and on the 7th. It comes down ! ❤
I can't take down my tree in the living room yet. My cat is in love with it. 😂 But seriously, we are acclimating her from the outdoors to inside and because under the tree has been her favorite place since she came inside, I'm afraid I might accidentally traumatize her by taking it down. That is the sweetest thing I have heard today. Good job being a loving cat mama!

I got Christmas completely packed up and put away. My grandson is not going to be happy with us. He loves the holidays and decorating. But I like the cleanliness with all the clutter put away and the house clean.
I think you need a commercial size mop/ floor cleaner because of the size of your rooms - so much flooring to clean. Whew!
We have been enjoying doing puzzles this season witth my two grown daughters being home before they move into their own places. I have a trick that has worked really well for us. I’m taking my decor down now slowly. I’m repacking my Christmas decor by room to make it easier for next Christmas. It’s taking me awhile.
I usually take down Christmas decorations after January 6th. We’ve also been sick in our family so I am starting tomorrow. I like to take my time and organize everything. Happy NewYear!
The canisters in the kitchen are a good start to carry a winter theme in the kitchen. They look great on the counter 😊
I always wrap my glass, ceramic idems. With paper towel , napkins or even newspaper. I worry they might chip or Crack.
Yes I have taken down 99% of everything Christmas.
Great to see you lady! That's alot of floor to clean. I'm exhausted from just watching! lol
So happy you got to enjoy your home for Christmas. It's well deserved. ❤
When Christmas is over I'm ready to put it away. It's always a little sad but like you said it feels so good to clean & get things back to normal. Loving the minimal look.
Hi Crystal! Fireplace garland can be really pretty draped on the front of the mantle. Just a thought for next Christmas. Love from N.C.
I feel the same about taking Christmas decor down. It makes me feel sad and the place feel empty but it is also nice to start the year off with less stuff out. And lol, that’s funny, my husband and kids get annoyed with the garland blocking the tv sensor too.

Yes day after Christmas .Enjoyed
Tara can't wait for your valentine decorations

Happy new Year! Still haven’t started taking down Christmas. We leave it up till atleast the 6th of January or the epiphany is celebrated.
I use a lot of snowflakes and snowmen for Christmas and leave those out all winter until Valentines day. Reminds me of Christmas longer. ❤
I take my decor down a few days after Christmas i never leave it up till after the new year. Like you said when you decorate so early you have plenty of time to enjoy it! I love a fresh clean blank space 😊
We don't celebreate Christmas, so I haven't been here in a few months😂nice to be back and watch your videos!

Still have family visiting until Jan. 7th. Leaving it up till they leave. Ready to clean!
I put my decore up 1st Dec and take it all down the 26th day after Christmas.
Happy New Year
Hi Crystal, hope you are all well.and blessed.
Bless and happy new year 2024 to you and to your beautiful family Crystal 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I take down the Christmas decorations by New Year's Eve. I have it all packed up by Jan. 1 each year.
Nunca veo la primera que limpie la decoración antes de guardarlas.
It is so hot here it zaps your energy. We put up Christmas at the beginning of December and take it down 12th night. January 6. Happy New Year.
I use a smaller Christmas tree storage bag to house all my small decorative trees and garland in😊
Hello Crystal you have a very beautiful home🏡🏠 we keep our Christmas tree 🎄 up to Feb 2 so we can enjoy Christmas time longer ❤😊😊
Thank you… everything looks so bare after Christmas… but I was ready to take it down…
I wrap all breakable items including fragile ornaments in tissue paper or newspaper. Sure takes me a lot longer. Couldn't believe it when I saw you just putting all your stuff in the bins! Maybe I'll try it. (Doubt I can do it)😂
I took down Christmas and now have winter and snowmen…too many but so darn cute!
Hi, sweet video. I take down decor after January 6 . When I felt like it last year, I took it down at the beginning of February
We took out tree down last night & I’ll finish putting the last bits of decor away tomorrow…then Sat is cleaning DayQuil😝. Happy New Year to you & your family.
Got all my stuff down your home is beautiful Crystal
Happy New Year!
As much as I love putting up Xmas decor and the tree, I loveeeeee putting it away, I am always ready for it…
I have taken mine down too.The weather has been so different in Southern Wisc.No snow to speak of .Very cloudy and gloomy days so when I took the tree down it really brightened up the living room.Have a great week.
Prayers for the deer that was hit.
I sympathize with you..I like to put all the things away and clean…but I always have the dilemma of “what now.”
I too love my Christmas kitchen. It looks so empty right now. Stark.
I’ve taken down Christmas decor, but I still have my Christmas tree up. I’ve switched over to a winter theme. All of the things that were Christmas are now winter like snowflakes and snowy trees and that sort of thing. I love keeping my tree up through January.❄️
I’m taking my decor down now & converting to winter decor. It’s been a slow process.
You have the most beautiful smile!!!
Your kitchen was so cute this year❤
I’ll take down my trees this weekend.
Love the Christmas glasses, so cute
I leave Christmas up until Jan. 6 which is little Christmas & it's supposed to be good luck
❤your Videos Crystal Happy Year's 2024. Hi Charlie your skin and makeup is so beautiful
I plan to put away the decorations on January 27-28. I decorated on December 2-3
