🤔 Wife Lost her $25/hr Food Factory job at a Tyson subsidiary when they laid off tens of thousands 😢
Her plant laid off 90% keeping only HR dept, Few Supervisor and Maintenance technicians... Few weeks later They brought in hundreds of Newly imported Criminal Invaders and started offering to hire back some of the old experienced US citizen workers BUT at only $14/hr 😱😳... Imagine That 🤯 🤬... My Wife has put in over 300 resumes/applications with No job Offers including back at her old job with a $11/hr pay Cut 😱 😱 😱... Shes 54 years old, very skilled, experienced with many speciality trainings but noooo one wants to hire her 😢...
Pinning so everyone can see your story! This infuriates me! Praying this gets resolved quickly for your family!
😮😢
This has happened to my son in law too - they pay to bring immigrants over to work for them and live in their housing - Butterball does this as well 🤦🏼♀️ Praying your wife finds a good job and quickly. I started my own cleaning biz about 19 years ago - pays great - I reach out to local realtors with my business info via text and email. Just a thought (not many people like to clean but I clean only empty houses in the market. I am 45 and pray I will be able to clean until I’m about 70 (also taking Google Data Analytics certification so I can work part time from home when cleanings slow down that is needed at times ♥️♥️♥️🌎♥️♥️♥️
Remember who the slavers were ? Democrat's and their doing it again.
If you speak with your wallet- Aldi's Kirkland chicken is from Tyson.
FINALLY!!!
At 68 years old, I am DEBT FREE...
Yep, paid off my last financed contract. WOOHOO!!!
I can now gather even a few more long term storage items than before.
But, the garden needs tending, the chickens, dogs, cat, and myself still must eat. I'm now trying to get a Simple Pump to coincide with my well, and construct my outdoor clotheslines. All I can do, is all I can do, but giving in and giving up AIN'T an option.
Look into Apocalypse Pumps. Much cheaper for the same thing.
Simple pump: Deep Well Hand Pump MSRP $2200-3850 or Shallow Well Suction Pump MSRP $1040-1150
Amen! You're doing awesome! keep it up!
Well done Matey
Wohoo well done ,bet take feels great 👍🏽
Those two puppies just won the lottery!!
They sure did!
Wish they would adopt me 😂❤
My mom with dementia just got back up. During the day, we watched the bird feeder garden I put up for her. At night, we cuddle. Cherish your family. Tomorrow is not promised.
❤️
is she taking a statin ?
❤️❤️❤️
❤ So true, I walked this journey with my mom.
🙏🏻
I started out with nothing and i still have most of it😊❤😊...hang in there people...
That made me giggle! I like that. I think I will borrow that if you wouldn't mind
That made me giggle! I like that. I think I will borrow that if you wouldn't mind
Never heard it said like that but I can relate
😄😄 That was great!
😂❤
I'm a property manager at a self storage facility in TN. In the last year I've lost count on how many people have lost jobs, been evicted from their homes!! BUT, the last few weeks have been mind blowing at the amount of people looking for somewhere to store their stuff until they can get on their feet again. It's mostly older people on fixed incomes that have NOBODY to turn to. Will be living in a car if they have one. This morning I went and bought a tent, foam mattress to go in it and some chairs for a lady and her son, they have nowhere to go! It's just so heartbreaking!! And I know it's going to get worse. PRAYING, PREPPING AND STAYING PEACEFUL. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That’s so sad!😢
@@yaya_vibe2504it truly is!!!
So very sad.most of us seniors have worked our butts off trying to keep a roof over our heads and raise a family.
You are a true gem for helping out this woman and her son!
I started shopping at thrift stores for my wardrobe. I get great clothes at a low price and the dollars I spend help low income people with jobs and donations/social programs. I grow much of my veggies sumner and winter, my neighbors give me eggs from their chickens, and I’m really looking for a place to get my meat from a local producer. My brother in law keeps me in fish and a neighbor sells me fresh shrimp and crabs at a discounted price. I’m in process of doubling my garden. Also have begun a fruit guild where my young fruit trees are planted. I’ll have herbs, pollinators plants, and sone veggies in it. I’m a widow with a 19 year old son who helps me to earn extra money and fantastic neighbors and family.
Nice!
That's wonderful for you .!!!!!
GR8 strategy, fine place
To meet people too.😊
You’re truly blessed❤
If you have a pond then put fish in it. Co-op can provide a source.
I’m old enough to remember how Walmart came to a small town and basically put Main Street out of business. The vacuum made by these business closings could bring back the Mom and Pop stores. Take our lemons and make lemonade.
My Dad always said when Walmart comes to town ,all mom and pops disappear. Then they raise prices.
Dollar Genral has done that in small towns all over. A DG every 5 miles but nary a mom and pop convenience store in sight anymore.
I remember when Walmart came to my town too. Everything changed. 😢
I saw it myself.. didn’t understand it then, but I understand more and more everyday
And everyone KEEPS SHOPPING THERE. We stopped buying from all big box stores since the scamdemic. I'm so glad we still have mom & Pop stores.
I can smell the puppy breath from here. They're ADORABLE!
Don’t you just love puppy breath!❤❤❤
Note: My daughter and I went to Cinemax today to see Escape from Germany and with the senior discount the cost was $19.03 but the sad part was that we were the only ones in the theater.
You do know the " cold war" started after WWII. There have been tons of movies on " the wall between east and west Berlin. ". Many died trying to escape the east. Always had movie's with "Check Point Charlie". In them. Freedom. The people and the earth are crying out for. I have not been to the movies since 1st few yrs of 2000. Communism is real.
My Daddy (at 78, he will always be), was career military. He and his brother WWII. Their sisters married military. At least they were 10+ yrs younger. 3 of our families overseas in late 50'S to 1st of 60'S. I set in Germany. My daddy spent ladt 18 mo. in military TDY to Germany. Nothing chgd. I graduated hs 64'. He was in Germany. Got back and retired after 25 yrs. In 65'. Even in England, we and another set at different bases, faced " GO HOME YANKS. NO NUKES. I was 11 and after 3 yrs PCS, returned at 14 yrs. Old. The others came back in 61'. Reunion at my dad's mother's. I can tell you, every American citizen should get down on their knees and Thank God, America was still America pertaining to military they chgd up in 80'S. Now look at the military. Just today, here at top of TX, they have detained hundreds of Chinese crossing all southern border states. They say it is escalating of Chinese . Get ready America, pray without ceasing. Yes, we probably will go through something as Christian's. But, I believe God can save America. If....HE chooses to send HIS SON JESUS CHRIST BACK FOR THE CHURCH EARLY, WE KNOW WHERE WE ARE GOING. No, I do not want to die. I want to live in the greatest country God ever created. We dedicated this new world to God. We are linked to Israel. God chose I shall, we chose God. Now, in 1 day God can chg. Everything. Pray for Mercy. If, my life might have been different, I would like to learn to grow a small garden. Hard to do living in a senior complex. But, all America has to show God Almighty We Still Want our Great Country. Not what Satan has made it. HE, GOD, IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING. YES. We have poverty here. But, we are not living and hiding in caves like David had to run for his life from King Saul in the Bible. H8ding in caves. God has heard the prayers spoken by America, the earth. I pray. we get 1 more chance.
Would love Patara's Great Pyrenees, as protection. Different uses for both. They are beautiful. I am a dog person. But, on 2nd floor of 3, even a small dig not trained to pad, you have to take outside. It is not like home I reared family in. You cannot open back door ir kitchen door into fenced yard. So, I love seeing all her animals. They always bring a smile to my face.
Blessings.
Can’t wait to see that. For the cost of movie tickets we have to wait for he dvd to come out then it is cheaper for our family to see it then if we purchase it. Was it good? It looks amazing.
be sure to see Unsung Hero...magnificent!!!
I took 2 of my daughters to Unsung Hero today. $21 at the cinemark. Don't usually go to the theater but this movie was worth it. Quite a few in theater during the matinee.
Matinee prices cheaper!
Just south of the big Hawley Texas tornado that hit yesterday. Under watch right now. Looks like it's going to skirt us again. Thank you Lord and praying for everyone else
Be safe .🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you do go out to eat please do not go to a chain restaurant! Go to a small family owned cafe or restaurant, it will help keep those places afloat!
Food is better most times also!
I still live in the motorhome. I'm extremely thankful for the roof over my head!
Use all that space, piece cardboard across dash with steering wheel holding it level. Plant you some mini garden plants! Use that dashboard for something besides clutter. Gallon buckets can be taken in and out as you move around. Bush cucumbers, carrots, potatoes, cabbage. Look up container gardening.
Most importantly, pray and try to maintain our sanity
I don’t like the current situation of inflation and recession together. As a farmer I survived these kinds of difficulties several times over the past 40 years. This time it is the worst I ever seen it. I’m fortunate I have much of my own food for most of the year. But income is down and expenses are way up. I’m retired in name only. As I get older it’s getting harder to keep after everything the way I use to. I’ve seen many businesses fail and close in the last 3-years. Even the stores still running had substantial rent increases and the banks are tight with money.
Most small businesses can’t keep pace with larger box stores and chain stores. Their buying power is greater than independent businesses. By increasing prices to keep pace with the cost of goods, customer bases are dwindling because people don’t have the money needed to make purchases.
Even essential goods are not moving and this reduces revenue enough that layoffs are inevitable. This breaks my heart because you can’t blame the business. This is all the result of bidenomics. Yet those that like Biden still blame it on Covid and even trump. This is all related to Biden and big government spending. But the biggest reason was the cost of fuel. And Biden owns this mess all by himself and his political minions to stupid to admit they caused this mess. Prayer and helping yourself will pull you through this. It’s times like these that helps your faith grow!
Dennys has been around for my whole life! And they are also closing. Sad for the night owls, but another American diner gone!
Are all Denny's closing?? Do you know?
Ours closed a year ago and they were always busy.
waffle house next.
Oh no…
They just opened 2 near us. They are always packed.
The two new puppies are so cute
Thinking of the two beautiful Australian young men and their american friend whowere murdered in Mexico in the last week ,two beautiful young men just enjoying a surfing holiday.May they rest in peace
🙏🏻
Gas here is $3.89 and diesel is $4.09. I'm retired and don't have any desire to go out and or travel. I had my fill of traveling and living out of a suitcase. I have everything delivered either with Walmart as a member and Instacart. I've had delivery drivers in their 70s making deliveries. I always give really good tips bc I know people are having a tough time. I'm fortunate that I retired and haven't had to work for 12 years now. I've been prepping since I was active duty and it is probably the best thing I could have done. I don't struggle for anything. I live a quiet and peaceful life. I've had enough chaos to last me for the rest of my life. All I can say is continue to prep to the rafters and then some more. Treat people good and help them when you can.
❤
Thank you for your service
I live in the North Texas area. Universal Studios is currently building a kids theme park in Frisco, Tx. This is a huge expensive project. Doesn't really match the current economy, even though Frisco is very upper middle class. Is it a coincidence that Frisco is also at the top of the list of planned smart cities for Tx?
Wonderful puppies !!!
Just brought home my first two Lambs ! 🌎✌️💖☺️
🥰🥰🥰
I wonder if they are easier than goats? Does anyone know anything about their milk?
Good looking pups ya got there.
I’ve taken yesterday and today off from work. Ya know one of those days where ya get elbow deep in it around the property and wish ya was back at work to get a breather lol.
I’ve finished the chicken run finally. My fingers are torn slap up. If you’ve ever worked with chicken wire then ya know. Our buff Orpingtons feet got to feel earth for the first time and they had a ball. Now getting them back in their house for the first time boy that was a chore. Couple figured it right out the others had me calling on Jesus. Plowed the garden the other week turning it over. I got it tilled today. We got in it all planted just in time for the showers. The boys were great helpers. I got the jungle of the yard mowed. Got the fertilizer put out on the yard as it just needed a little boost. Also finished up the boys new massive beach of a sandbox. They love it. Been two rough days. My back is done and my fingers have bled. But nothing comes easy. The fruits of thy labor do not go unnoticed. Psalms 128:2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. We got a lot accomplished and it feels good. Still some other smaller chores to be done but now I can take my time on them and no rush. God is so so good. And my family is so blessed. All the glory to God, my saver my redeemer.
My sister was just hired by Rue 21 last week. When she went to get her schedule, they told her they were sorry but they just found out they were closing. She had been looking for a job for over a year and was so excited to have finally found something. Now she has to continue her search.
Those puppies are beautiful! I know they will love living on the farm.
Not only do prices continue to rise, have you noticed the quality of fruits and vegetables in the stores (at least where I live) has become poorer. Some days certain items aren’t available. The grocery stores here have never fully recovered from the pandemic.
It's all going soon.
Yep!
That's why I don't shop at Aldi's. You can't count on anything being in stock often enough to do regular grocery shopping there. I go in once every few months to see if they have any canned vegetables I need.
Hi Patara , I’m from a big city in Canada, and the other day I was out and about, driving past a strip mall I shop at ,, 2 woman’s stores were gone !,, I was shocked !,, these were popular stores ,,
Look at all that cuteness, congrats on your new babies
Whirlpool is one of the biggest employers in my area. They have just announced a layoff of higher executives and will be announcing lower level layoffs. It’s going to hurt a lot of people
I saw that
wanna say s bend / benton harbor area rv mfg is slowing here
I rarely buy meat from a grocery store but on the rare occasion that does happen I've noticed it tastes funny and the texture is different. Find and buy local, folks! Seek out and support local beef, pork and poultry farms if you can.
Yes, I agree. We just bought 68 lbs of beef from a local farm. It tastes so much better. No gristle, and lean.
Retired nurse here… we used to have “standards of care”.. meaning every person was entitled to basic care. To be turned, cleaned and fed. The newest standard of care is now ZERO! Seriously… nurses do not have any responsibility to give you the basics. Watch and stay with your loved ones
I have been in and out of hospitals and doctor offices a lot in the past few years, most recently with cancer, and all my nurses treat me like a king. I have no complaints with any nurses I've seen here in northeastern NC or in southeastern VA.
Oh, Patara, I've had your voice in my brain so much in the past 2 weeks. Things are SO horrible at my work now....we have a new administration that has made the work envirobment so hostile & toxic that I can't even adequately express how bad it is. They are actively sowing division among the staff...going around & asking one employee if another employee is doing their job. It's causing so much backbiting, sniping & tattling among the staff & simple personality conflicts are getting amplified into all out attempts to throw co-workers under the bus. The stress is intolerable...so much so that it brings me to tears before & after work & a few times I had to run to the bathroom during my shift because I was going to burst out in tears in front of everyone. They've cut staffing SO short that it's become a safety issue for everyone. I want to quit SO badly because the constant stress level is flaring my Lupus symptoms drastically & I honestly worry that the constant tears indicate I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown. There's some open positions in my small, rural town but taking them would mean cutting my income in HALF. I know it wouldn't be a smart move anyway...but especially in this economy....and I keep hearing your voice proclaiming, "Don't quit your job" but I don't know how much longer I can deal with this before it completely ruins my health. The fact I know I shouldn't do it just ADDS to the stress because I feel like I'm trapped....I have no way out & no way to safeguard my health if I stay. Worse yet, if someone gets hurt because of the lack of staff, I could possibly lose my license & never be able to work in the industry again. I feel like I'm in a no-win situation. I either make the good wage & ruin my health & sanity over the stress....or I quit and ruin my financial security. 😢
Praying for you. Have lived through that situation.
Praying, something will work put for you, stay hopeful
Praying for you
Please keep applying to other jobs that interests you. There is something for better out there for you.
Bless you. Keep your chin up, something will come along for you.
Excellent information. My son is a welder pipelined. Very little work
Trucker friends losing jobs because there is non loads.
Everywhere Especially in the very rural area where in live is hurting
People are stealing gas!
People are already getting desperate already. Just wait a few more months
Food is disappearing
Chicken
Beef pork. Eggs dairy all under attack. Stay aware and awake
Love ya
I'm not a dog person... But who can resist puppies!!! So cute. It's cold here. Be safe.
My Daughter works for an agricultural company and they just layed off 40-50% of there employees. These are not field workers they make things to help the farmers grow more food.
I just love that rooster at the beginning of your videos.
Between the goats and the Pry's and all the other animals... you have just ramped up my pet therapy.. and I showed my husband your fluffies and said we need more dogs... YES JESUS.. please.. We keep prepping and getting ready for the summer of love...
When you were talking about small town America loosing its businesses and jobs, it eerily reminds me of towns in West Virginia. When the coal mines left these small towns, their whole world fell apart. One day, during the 2020 shutdowns, I was watching a short documentary on West Virginia and the fall of the coal mines. I felt sooo bad for all of these people!!!! I kind of feel that is what you are talking about with the closures of Family Dollar and other stores, like Rue 21. I’m truly very sad that this is happening or in the stages of developing. Btw, your new puppies are ADORABLE!! Can’t wait to hear more about them!!! 😇💕💕💕
My hometown in WV lost the coal mines and the lumber mill. The town just about died. They have come back somewhat as an artist colony.
We finished our garden today. Now starting on our strawberry beds. ❤
I also read this morning that Red Lobster was closing stores, too!
Went to one a few days ago, worst service ever, bread didn't arrive until the meal was finished. I had 8 shrimp, two spoonfuls of mashed potatoes, small salad, and water for 18.00. It was lunchtime and barely any people eating and still took forever to get our food. I was so disappointed. I used to love Red Lobster.
I've never been in one or even seen one up close. It sounds too expensive for me anyway.
I hear you. The plan to hollow out the country and force everyone into cities is on fast forward. I can't figure how to stop it. Love the puppies, just what I needed today. I made a point of shutting down the computer and getting my tiny garden IN! Bless you and yours, you may not have any idea how much you mean to so many across America and beyond. May God help us all.
Support local business.
Just say “no”
While she’s still physically with me I’ve lost my soul mate’s heart to Alzheimer’s feeling blessed for all of our adventures of the past but you’re just never ready for it to end. Meds run about $1000 each month even with manufactures discounts and everything isn’t that shameful in our country this is our reality. As “ people of the prepared” thankfully we were already a good ways down that road and hope we can give our kids and grandchildren a fighting chance for what’s coming -Hopper from Louisiana
Prayers to you Cindy 🙏🙏🙏
I live in a small town. Family dollar was a store alot of us shopped often. Well they closed it 2 weeks ago. There is another one in the next town over..But miss the people at our family dollar. Sad
So thankful for your encouragement, guidance, cheering everyone on!!!
Much love & thanks always!!❤❤❤
Hello Patara, I so needed to see those precious puppies. Asking for prayers from you and this family for my beautiful angelic Mother- In-Law that has been in the hospital this past week and was discharged today. She is the best Mother-In-law that a lady could ask for. I'm so exhausted. I was so blessed to watch her pick cotton while she was asleep as it was my turn to spend the night with her in the hospital.
She used to pick cotton when she was a little girl. She is 89 years old and I have known her 30 years.
Please pray for Peace and Comfort for her and our family.
Thank you❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏 to you all
You are each blessed to have had each other for those 30 years. I have felt that exhaustion from caring for loved ones and do not regret one second of it. Be proud that you can give comfort and love to her. You are two special ladies. God sees your love for her. 💖
Prayers.
Praying for you all❤
Prayers for you and your sweet mother in law. 🙏🏻
The pups are so very cute! Praying for us all every day. Planting and prepping as well. Stay safe, everyone! ❤
My brother works at General Motors in Arlington, Texas and they are so short handed with employees it's crazy. They hire temporary employees and they will maybe work 2 days take a lunch break and don't return. My brother works 6 days a week 12-14 hours a day. Thank the good Lord he gets to retire in February. There's plenty of places hiring but a lot of folks don't want to work because they live off the government. I'm in NW Louisiana in the country. I love your channel. Have a blessed weekend.
It's crazy how many places are going out of business. Many restaurants near us. However most are chains. I do see more people flocking to mom and pop restaurants that are packed compared to chains. We go out once or twice a month to a mom and pop restaurant.
I lost my job in 2020. I worked for the company for 20 years. The owners decided they no longer wanted to do retail and went out of business. Thankfully all of my employees ( i was a GM) have all been able to get other jobs. I'm so blessed i can stay home with our little one and i help my husband with our ag business. He also has a repair business, does tree work, etc both of us always believe in being able to do both multiple jobs.
You know what I love about all podcasts is the bird songs in the background.👍
“Thank you for allowing us to serve musicians like you for 100 years”: Sam Ash Music announces it will be officially closing all its stores
By Phil Weller
The family-run music equipment chain has been forced to close its stores, with a closing-down sale currently ongoing.
💔🙏
Bummer 😥
This makes me so sad!
Aww! You'all got your new fur babies! So adorable.
I am rearranging and throwing away things I don't need to make room for things that are important.
Love your dogs ..so pretty..
Love you❤
Girl yes. Preach it. We are in a depression. Leaning on Jesus hard these days.
I'm all about saving money. I haven't bought coffee, other than what I brew at home; for many years. I like my home brewed better anyway.
There is only ONE Patara! ❤️🙏
Oh my goodness Patara your new puppies are so precious got blessed with best momma n homestead ever 💖 🐶 😊🙏
Yeppers, they done won the puppy lottery.
Thank you, Patara. Zone 5, I started seeds in milk jugs outside in March. We're eating fresh spinach and Parris Island lettuce now.
The DG distribution center in Sulfer Oklahoma was destroyed in a tornado this week. Prices will be going up. When the textile factories in my area closed the towns have almost died. Stores closed and people moved away.
I am near Sulphur and Marietta, OK. It was a dollar tree warehouse in Marietta, Oklahoma that was destroyed. Sulphur mainly got hit downtown.
I just harvested my first tomato off my apartment windowsill garden. Now just gotta preserve those seeds.
Nice!
I worked in the mortgage industry and lost everything in 2008. Praise God my parents were done traveling and gave me their motorhome. Otherwise I would have been homeless.
I don’t care about Starbucks either, but the people need their jobs and there’s people that buy that coffee even though it’s not us. They need their jobs.
My town is planning on opening our 4th Starbucks😳😳. I don't know how this town will support 4! We're not a huge place...population about 52, 000.
@@AletaMcPherson-ge8yg People are buying, otherwise they would not open up a fourth Starbuck.
@@KimSmith-b9v , you're right. There's always a line at the drive thru.
Starbucks is job no one needs, trust me. Worst job and nightmare of my whole life.
I haven’t gone to Dunkin or Starbucks in a long time.I just buy store brand coffee and drink it at home and take it to work every day.Don’t miss going out for coffee at all!
Love the markings on the black and white puppy, so pretty! I thought all Pyrenees were solid white, shows how much I know LOL Both are cuties!
DEPRESSION!!! No more words! ❤❤🙏🙏xxoo🇱🇷🙏🇱🇷🙏🇱🇷🙏 sweet puppies!😘
My grandpa always talked about the okla humidity. "It sho is close out here"
Aww the new babies are so cute!
Just hoping it will quit freezing here! Freezing temps just keep coming. More this coming week. Brought out overwintered geraniums and planted pansies yesterday. But my flwer starts from seed are going out this weekend. I hope some wont take the freezes so will have to wait. Wanting to get starts out as I just found out I have a spot of cancer in my left lung and will have to have surgery. A lobe ectomy. And 6 months of recovery. Scary and also very bad timing! Rather that could be in winter and not ruin or mess with my gardening and putting up food!
You’re so right! We live in Southern Ontario and a week ago travelled to Michigan to collect items from a mailbox- every store/ restaurant we shopped at whether we bought something or not- thanked us for coming in- thanked us for shopping there- including the dollar stores. This doesn’t happen where I live- not yet but it’s coming; I can feel it. No one is shopping except for groceries, garden plants - mostly food plants . We have a lot of manufacturing facilities who can’t find workers. The average home here costs $800k plus. We have a strong (for now) tourism industry but you can see that failing. God bless you, and all your viewers. Hard times are upon us and they aren’t getting better.
Back in 1950, my father worked in tobacco in Simcoe in southern Ontario. The farms were beautiful there when we went back to visit in 1966.
We have no debt. The only three bills we have a month are the electric bill, cell phones & internet. We have two older used vehicles that were paid for with cash. We pay our rent one year in advance, we wear the same clothes that we were wearing 5 years ago and if we do get something it comes from the goodwill or thrift shop. We don't wear designer clothes. We pay for our food and everything else with CASH!! Not credit cards. If I have to use a credit card it gets paid off immediately. A lot of people dont know how to live within their means now a days. I learned a year ago how to can food just by watching youtube videos and doing research. Every week we add more to our food and survival supplies. We can do this because we are not in debt up to our eyeballs and we live within our means. SHTF is going to happen and its definitely going to be worse then 2008 & Covid. Luckily for us we were stocked up with food and supplies when Covid hit and we had the lock down. While everyone else was panicking we were fine. I think there is another shut down brewing and coming within the next year and its going to be worse than the Covid one. You dont have to do it all at once but just a little bit at a time as we did.
So jelly!! I still have snow on the ground where I live. So nice seeing all the green in your area. Blessings!! 🌿
Lost our family-owned feed store because the grandson said the store business was too hard so he opened an independent auto parts store at the location -- 1/4 mile from an Advance Auto parts store. Now I have to drive 30 mins to buy my feed.
I look forward to your videos. I get lazy about being prepared but listening to you gets me back on track! And that humidity has your skin glowing!
It's not that I didn't care about people losing their jobs and livelihood before but the thought of it really punched me in the gut today. Today I really understood how precious job security is and how the children will be affected with hunger and illness (all the things 3rd world countries already deal with). Lest we think madness and mayhem are rampant today it will much worse in the future. Thank you for reminding us to tend to our family, homes and food security while there is still time. Love the puppies!

Asking for healing for her. Prayers for Gods mercy and grace on your family.
Our 99cent Only Store just closed in AZ, it was my weekly go to store. I'm so sad.
All the 99cent stores are closing all over the Country, one of the workers told me that about 14,000 thousand people will be out of a job, ours will close May 12th,so very sad.
Loved that store...
Giving a thumbs down, do to that is so sad.
Keep Praying, Planning, and Prepping like no tomorrow, bc a depression is something we only heard stories about. I'm just now watching video passed out early last nite bc I was so tired from working in our garden, dehydrating tons of veggies. Keeping busy t stay alive for what's coming 🙏 ❤❤
We live in a very small town in Arkansas and Ranger boats ( owned by Bass Pro) just let 70 locals go 😢😢
Love the puppies.
Been up here in Cherokee this weekend since Thurs. So glad to see the new trail for Kings Mountain being started . We have been adding to farm and lots of work in gardens and home. Been up here buying more precious metals and lead . Everything has been closed around these areas here and slow and seeing and watching people and the affects of financial situation in areas like this and our area. We bought a new truck yesterday, my husband and I have been watching and waiting last couple years since I bought mine and prices down but also the place was empty of buyers and lots full of more cars processing and asked if they are repos he said they arent allowed to talk about it or even sales people to each other about the situation. And saw cars that were 20k more or more just during covid now less. We have also been taking in farm animals people now cant afford or have and some have health issues from care or neglect from not being able to get them help they need like hoofs and such and sad. We waited and planned our purchases and stay debt free but it is sad to see many people struggling and those losing things they can no longer afford.
I love your little fuzzy bears! My new puppy did the same gift of barf on me on our way home with her. Thank you for sharing and caring.
Hi Patara loved the video. The puppies are so cute. It is sad about the store closingsthat is just more people on unemplyment and possibly welfare. I worked retail for 35 years that is what they hire you on as partime. We have one grocery store 20 minutes from us and even though it is not always the greatest I am thankful for it.We have a walmart 45 minutes from us.We also have a dollar general 10 minutes from us.If we didnt have that there wouldnt be a lot of options especially if you just need some bread or milk. Thank God for the small town businesses it is what we depend on.We dont eat at a lot of chain restaurants. We dont have them close by.If we didnt have the small businesses we wouldn't eat out at all. Thanks for being there Patara can't wait to see more of the farm and new pups.God Bless America
The eye patches and freckles! Those babies are adorable 😊❤
I'M GOING TO DO A LOT OF CANNING INSTEAD OF FREEZING BECAUSE IF THE DEPRESSION HITS, THERE MAYBE NO WAY TO FREEZE FOOD, EXCEPT DURNING WINTER, AND EVEN THST MAYBE IF-IE.
Patara, you are so right, things are rapidly changing. It is best to get what you can now. Prices are continuously rising. Spend an extra dime this week it will be 50 cents higher a month from now. Prices right now are as cheap as you will get. Get while the getting is good. These businesses that have been around for years shutting down will affect someones livlihood. The times they are a changing and not for the good.
Our former preacher once said "Get all you can, can all you get, and sit on the can." I don't think he was referring to prepping, but it was a catchy sentence. :)
A few more PA banks closed today. And seized the funds. I keep praying and doing what I can.
Patera, I hear ya. Put the tomatoes in today. Garden is done. Also put ten fruit trees in the yard. Four new grape vines coming next week.
Those 2 precious puppies won the lottery , getting such a wonderful home to grow up in .
God bless you all

Thank you Patara for your videos.
Blessings to you and your family from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
It’s such a FINE LINE they’re walking right now. One wrong move and it will spiral out of control. We all should be ready for that. You are right, I think it’s a silent depression
Omg! The puppies are so fluffy!💕 Olive has playmates now!😊
Probably not. Those pups are destined to be guard dogs.
A variety of different foods, plus "treats" is necessary to offset Food Fatigue! Thank you for throwing out many suggestions and your sense of urgency, young lady...🇺🇸 👍☕
So precious
🦋🇺🇸🥰Good Evening Patera. I love to hear what you have to say. You remind me of myself. Staying vigilant and still prepping. I love your new 2 additions to the family ❤

My son graduates high school in 2026 and my daughter in 2027. I am so worried about their future. I am trying to prepare, but feel like I am not doing enough. Thanks for these videos.
Ours graduate 2027 and 2029. I am taking steps to be prepped to provide education at home.
Those puppies are adorable! Thank you once again for putting forth the bad news, with a smile and encouragement to keep prepping. God bless
In the summertime it is like getting out of the shower and putting your clothes on without drying off. Just walking around in June.
I don't usually comment but just wanted to say I love you, Patera. You're the momma I never had and I thank you for living your life and faith out loud and for being a light in the darkness. I wish we were neighbors! But alas... I send you a big hug from Southern Ohio (on the little boot) on the river.
It took me a while to train my pyraneese to not chase my chickens, but after getting into trouble a few times she figured it out. "Gracie" is our big fluffy puppy. She is a year old now.
Is it coincidence that most if not all stores closing are all stores that have been a big part of American life and culture for decades if not longer? American food stores, American restaurants, American clothing...so many gone and replaced by foreign companies like Aldi and foreign sounding places. In my area of suburb of Phoenix many apartments are being built and/or renamed with odd foreign names. Example of before name of Winterhaven to Aria or something like that. They are changing everything...soon they will start changing street names and names of towns. 💔
They started changing street names a long time ago. Every town in the US now has a Martin Luther King Street or Boulevard.
Oh my word🤗 puppies are soooo cute.
I remember in Indiana about 30 - 40 ish years ago when GM closed many plants in our towns. It almost killed most of the towns they were in. It was not a good time.
