just like to add that most bad injuries in any contact code dont come from normal contact but from freak events like a head clash or you get hit on the wrong angle ,or your leg gets trapped and broken,generally ts just bruising or grazing or winded,sometimes its from dirty play though, like once I dived on a loose ball and a prop kicked me in the jaw I was using a straw to take soup for three days after and he was a cop

In rugby, you play with minimal breaks for 80 minutes - in football you run for 60 minutes with breaks every play. On any decent rugby team, the big, slower forwards can run just as long as the quick backs. In football, a center or offensive lineman can't run for a couple of minutes without taking a break, let alone keep up with a running back.

Football is seriously stupid. Requires next to no communication between team mates as all your actions are given to you on a plate by someone else, in rugby your team is left to their own devises when they take to the field. Also rugby isn't corrupted by money.
I grew up in America, played 6 years of football and loved it. Got to college gave rugby a try, now I don't ever know why i messed with the pigskin.
