    Camera needs to be behind you, so we can see at a better angle.

      Great explanations. Easy to understand. But your hands weren't always in the video. Sometimes just barely out. But I was able to figure out. Thanks.

    I thank you for making this video. I would just like to say it would be nice if before you start your instructions it would be nice to say this is for beginners or you need to know how to make a single crochet a double crochet chain it is very very slow to watch you make your pattern or if you have a two-part video one for experience videos and one for beginners that would be nice thank you very much though for taking the time

    Is there a written pattern for this, or at least for the central part (the first part) of the strip? I am attempting to write one down as you demonstrate, but one already written would be easier to follow.

      I have a written pattern posted on my blog post on my website.

      @@CrochetByJames Thank you -- I'm trying to repair/modify an afghan created by my late housemate, who was an expert crocheter. The pattern she used seems to be similar to this, so I think I can use yours, but I am by no means an expert, so I need some written guidance. And she used a stitch to join the strips that I have never seen before and cannot figure out -- still working on that. It seems to be sewn, not crocheted, but the strips are 11 feet long and it would have taken a lot of trouble to sew.

    Wrong angle for crochet tutorial. Watch how others do it. You know what I mean.

      I know exactly what you mean. This was one video where I was just starting out with tutorials. If you’ll notice in some of my most recent videos, I have fixed the angle of the camera to make it more efficient for the tutorials. Thank you for your advice!

    Will a size j work?

    • @CrochetByJames
      @CrochetByJames  2 роки тому

      Absolutely. It may make your stitches a little bigger which will make the blanket bigger, but any size hook will work.
