hi andy what a lovely little scene and mate you made those lock gates look so authentic well done mate look forward to wwatching more of your videos. and look forward in meeting you and the rest of the guys at the club. peter
That realistic water is mighty strong stuff Andy and I had the same problem when I first did the lake, it pulled the edge of the Modrock away! The canal really looks great though, excellent work...........Graham
yeah the guy who does the weathering does an awesome job, need to see if I can do another deal with my new locos lol. Yeah I'm pleased with the canal, still not connected the lines up to anything which I need to do so I run stuff through my new section. Hopefully that will be next month Andy
Hi Andy, looking great mate, nice work on the scenes there. The canal in particular is coming up a treat! For some reason I wasn't subbed to you but all fixed now! Cheers, Dan
Great mini series rolled into one. Really well explained. As Graham says, of probs. I for one am not using realistic water. Some layers of heavy boat varnish does trick, as long as you colour as required. Thanks again for the fine vid. Robert
Like those lock gates Andy are they a kit?great way of doing a canal scene puts mine to shame. The end result is superb looks very realistic. Cheers Kev
Hi Dave thanks for subbing, it's a wills bridge kit, so plastic, painted with rail match enamel GWR light and dark stone paints, then weathered lightly with my airbrush Andy
Andy Hudson I was surprised that I hadn't subbd....I suspect I was and then unsubbed by mistake! Good looking kit! so id you just weather it with black thru the airbrush? I like the shade of stone, I will take a note of the GWR Railmatch tones for any future projects which need a cool looking shade like you've achieved.
Great update Andy, I was glued to the screen from start to finish loved it.
Looks amazing Andy I work on the Manchester canal so feel like am in work with lock gates lol great job
