purchased this model @ 3 years ago, is one of 7 different types of basses in my collection, installed black nylon strings, foam chunk between bridge and trapeze, also string mute around nut to slide down when wanted, it's my only short scale instrument, but gets used daily as primary practice bass because of it's acoustic quality, it's tone thru my B15 amp is my guitar players favorite , even though I use a 55' Precision, Rickenbacker, or Thunderbird alot, also own an Epiphone El Capitan that has the really rare electronics on it with a XLR and a 1/4 TS output jacks, that instrument covers a very similar sound but body is large, I call it the Ark
Great bass. I’ve messed around with that same model before and enjoyed it. My favorite bass I own is an Ibanez Acoustic. If my acoustic bass wasn’t an option I would consider the AFB. Hope you’re doing well!
It's a good bass but I'm going through another one of those "one bass to rule them all" phases. So far, I still like the Epiphone Jack Casady the best, mainly for it's tone. I'm doing well, thanks and likewise!!
Interesting tones. It has the short note envelope, but the mids are more forward than Hofner, Epiphone Allen Woody, etc. Doesn't scratch my hollow-body bass itch, but it's certainly a unique and interesting option.
I used the Hollyland Lark M2 for sound in this video. It's great for voice recording but the noise cancellation greatly reduces the low-end frequency. I understand what you're saying about it not scratching the "hollow-body bass itch" though. I'm not defending this Ibanez too much because I still think the Epiphone Jack Casady is the best playing and sounding hollow-body bass I've played so far.
@@progrockjock Thank you for clarifying that. If the mic wasn’t capturing the low end you were hearing in the room, then it explains the difference between your spoken comments, and what I was hearing through my studio monitors. I was literally thinking “where the @#$& is the low end on that thing!”
😂...if I would've bothered to finish editing the video, I would've thought about scrapping it. I have an abundance of videos in the cue and a few of them talk about the Lark M2, wanting the viewers thoughts on the sound. I was actually going to return the Lark M2 but the return window closed while I was up in New York last week. All of my Guitar Center footage is useless due to the Lark distorting from placing the second mic in front of the speaker. I'm already working on using DI moving forward but like the AirPods, no mic is better than the built-in Apple mic for on-the-spot recording with the iPhone.

sonido limpio y melancólico, excelente bajo acústico o eléctrico, multifacético.
Bass sounds great and a dang wholesome ending!
Nice bass I would buy it over a Hofner Ignition club bass.
Sam Ash has really gone down in the last few years , kind of sad though😮
