The equipment is great .
I worked at a cottonwood mill in the 80s and at that time cottonwood was the number one exported hardwood from the USA. We sold grade cottonwood to a furniture manufacturer that made magazine racks for Sears. The odds are any furniture that says "walnut" stained or "pecan" stained will actually be cottonwood. Lots of it is used for pallets, Soles of foundry workers shoes used to be cottonwood. Excellent STRONG framing lumber. Where I live, it any house was built before 1900 if was built from local cottonwood
The operator was sharing some very good knowledge; if his volume was higher it would've been an excellent archive of milling, but the techno music tended to override him.

You can turn a nice bowl out of it.
What is the cottonwood lumber used for
Palets, core vor sky end snow board,
Woden gloks. Blok end Sarkophag for funeral. Board for furniture.

Yeah ok thanks. We use the cottonwood for pallets also. I also use it for framing lumber to build sheds.. It works well if you nail it in right off the sawmill and don't let it sit around.
Why would anyone want to mill cottonwood a garbage tree when there are better types of wood that can be used.
Cheap, easy to find, lots of bdft/tree. Sure there's nicer and easier stuff to work with but cottonwood is useable
@@brentbell9543 nope I’ll stick to Douglas fir , ponderosa pine , sugar pine , white fir , silver tip fir western red cedar western incense cedar or even western white pine before I use cotton wood. Even oak is better than cotton wood
