Super thanks for this turorial🙏👍so beautiful
Thank you too
Such a relaxing tutorial Harriet!💖Love the birth month flower theme! It's a pleasure to watch you paint such natural looking shapes so effortlessly 😍
I love the layering in those petals! I always struggle with this stage...you make those brushstrokes look so natural and translucent and they give the petals the perfect amount of definition while remaining loose, just brilliant!🌟 - background music super relaxing and love your comments always 😊
Your controlled loose style is finally allowing me to find joy in a looser watercolour practice, which I have been wanting so explore for so long but always ended up being a frustrating and scary experience. Thank you so much for sharing your talent Harriet!
I'm so glad you are enjoying painting along with me Sam and never give up!
What a fun. Thank you very much for this. Kind regards from Germany. 💚
Ah thank you so much for watching!
Exquisite.
Thank you so much Sandra
I absolutely love it! I’m my late 50s and i had seen cosmos flowers but never saw one in person, today I saw them and they are so beautiful!
Thank you for a great lesson!
You are so welcome!
Absolutely love it, with cooler weather headed our way I hope to paint more often ❤️
I hope so too! Yes that's one good thing about the winter
Love the cosmos! Mine are only just opening in the garden…very late. Wanted to ask if you’re planning on repeating the wonderful advent calendar this year? I loved doing the mini pics and felt brave enough to have a go.
Hi Ann, yes we are working away behind the scenes like Santa's elves to be ready. You'll hear our announcement next week!
@@deWintonPaperCo That Sounds beautiful. 👍❤️
I am so happy to have recently found your channel and have been painting along with some of your tutorials. I have a question regarding pigments used in your palette. If I understand the information in the video description, you are using W&N Professional watercolors exclusively. Is that assumption correct?
Hi, yes I use both winsor and newton and Daler rowney. All artist quality
@@deWintonPaperCo Thank you for the reply. I was most interested in the Green Gold as I have not added that to my palette as of yet.
Beautiful work ! I’ve just found your channel and now binge watching 😊! This was simple yet stunning! Thanks for the inspiration
So glad you've found it!
What is green gold? In the U.S. what color is that in Windsor Newton professional watercolors? Also what number rigger brush did you use on thr sepals ? Thank you. I was gifted with your latest book and follow along everyday to improve my skills.
Green gold is a winsor and Newton colour. I use it a lot but you could mix it from Sap green and cadmium yellow
Such a delicate and gorgeous painting! I love how you manage to depict the beauty and authenticity of every flower you paint.... thank you for all your superb tutorials!
Thank you so much 😀
Thankyou Harriet! You are simply such a good artist!
Wow, thank you!
Beautiful ....will be giving this a go tomorrow. Thanks again for the inspiration. 😁🙏
You’re welcome 😊
I absolutely love each and every one of your floral word art pieces. Thank you so much. I have a question and hope you can help me. I paint the flowers just fine--have a great time and they turn out beautifully. But THEN, I get to the lettering part and I tense up afraid I won't get the letters perfect. So, I usually end up messing up the wording and getting discouraged. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Thanks Cheryl, I think draw in the lettering first and plan it out with pencil and then have a practise on a separate piece of paper
I grow them in my garden every year. Love them and you certainly do them justice! I wouldn't mind seeing you mix your colors though and I never hear you swish the brushes in the water..do you really clean them between colors? Lol. Another beautiful painting.
Great idea!
So simple and beautiful.
Thanks .
Most welcome 😊
Bravo 👏 lovely, Harriet, thank you
Thanks Mayu!
Very pretty! I love cosmos and agree they are meant to be painted in watercolor. I love how the leaves turned out too. You really captured their laceiness.
Thank you so much!
Love it! I just saw some beautiful red cosmos on my Colorado trip recently. Great flowers. We made it through the hurricane unscathed except for a few palm fronds. Amazing with all that wind we only lost an old elephant ear plant. Thanks for this beautiful tutorial Harriet. Blessings to you and everyone!
Oh Rita I’m so pleased to hear you’re ok. It looked really shocking on the news

@@deWintonPaperCo That's the media. Sensationalize and fear monger. So sad they did that. They spent way too much time on Tampa Bay and those poor folks in Ft. Meyers didn't have much warning at all. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers Harriet! You're a gem.
Very nice, thank you
Thank you too!
Beautiful !
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!!

Loved to paint these with you...you make it look so easy
You are so welcome!
Definitely planning to plant this elegant garden flower next spring. It is awesome to watch you wield your brush over the delicate cosmos petals and sepals-I am almost positive that you are holding a wand! Thank you so much for these wonderful tutorials.
Ah Becky that’s a really fun idea that we could paint with a wand!
Lovely. I planted Cosmos for the first time this year. Have been wanting to paint them, so this was perfect timing.
Ah I’m so pleased
