What a truly splendid Vlog… I love fjords, been to the Norwegian fjords twice now…. Breathtakingly beautiful and stunning!!! And So so relaxing.. I’d go again and would Love to do the Alaskan fjords too!!! That Indian Curry Meal … Yowza!!!!! Looked absolutely amazing!!! Blimey so much delicious food, you Lucky lucky people !!! Thank you Dee for the beautiful photos too
I love that you really showed what you can see from the ship in Tracy Arm. I know a lot of people were disappointed on our trip. This gives folks a very good view of what it's like. That one photo of the waterfall with the misty top is just beautiful! It's interesting to see the different ice formations (particularly with the birds on top). I have photos of the same ones, but yours were a few weeks after mine, so they've melted a bit. We definitely did not have the same dining experience as you did. As I expected, I think most of the MDR experiences are good. We just got stuck with a grumpy server. I kind of wonder if it's because we had the cheapest cabin I've ever had (we pretty much just paid taxes and port fees). We enjoyed the shows in the theater. Good times. And the performers were very gracious when my daughter asked for a selfie with them when she saw them in the lido (up by the bbq). I think they got a kick out of her asking, too.
Dee, your photos were wonderful! Jay, great choice in socks since you highlighted the piano club. It's always so very thoughtful when a someone goes out of their way to make your time special. The food service manager and his team were amazing to give you such a special meal!! When we were in Jamaica a few years ago, we happened to meet the head chef and told him how much we appreciated he and his team making such delicious food everyday. During the conversation it came up that Mike's favorite dessert is cherry pie. That night the chef surprised us with an entire cherry pie!! Needless to say, we shared it with those sitting near us who stared when he brought out this special treat. People are so thoughtful!!
We were on the Splendor June 21-28 and our ship went fully up into the fjord next to the glacier. We had a full view of the glacier, the seals that lay on the icebergs off of the glacier, everything you could want! Looks like your sailing had a bit more fog than ours though!
Awesome video! Seeing your trip is making me soooo excited for my cruise to Alaska on the Miracle on Aug 8th! I always love the videos you guys make because they’re so fun! By the way, the harbor seal on the iceberg looked like a blueberry at first! 😆🤪
We were on the Serenade of the Seas two weeks ago and we got all the way in to the glacier. It was amazing! The captain said that was as far as he had gotten in for a very long time. The crew was out taking photos right along with us. It was awesome!
Dee's pictures are incredible . Love Jay's socks... were they purchased in Alaska? That Indian dinner looked delicious. I too will be sitting on my balcony in September during my Alaskan cruise. Love that ehale watching with a tea or coffee. Thanks!
Tip for Tracy Arm you need to book the excursion the day you book your trip. The capacity is limited so it sells out quickly. I booked mine a year in advance and just barely got a ticket to ride.
Your pics Dee were absolutely beautiful!! I just started watching you and Jay on this cruise. I subscribed!! Thank you for everything you are sharing. My husband and I are going on an Eastern Caribbean cruise in (27 Days to be exact lol) and you have given me a lot to think about for an Alaskan cruise in the future. I really enjoy watching you both. Keep sharing your trips. I have plenty to catch up on. Lol
We got to see a pair of whales in Tracy Arm Fjord the first week of June. Looks like this fella must've decided to make this place his summer home. So cute!
The dinner they made for us that night was special from the chef because we met the food services manager earlier in the cruise and mentioned how much we loved Indian food. That was super nice of them!! :D
Although it is nice to have a balcony (when affordable) sadly, people miss most of the views by staying on it. The best views in Alaska are from open upper decks and promenades. Balconies limit your views/experiences.
We've never had much fun lumping in with the masses on the open decks, crowding around the railings for a view, having people try to bump you from your spot and crowd you out if you do finally get a position at the railing... fortunately, we're taller than many other folks and can see over their heads, but it's usually less than pleasant. We're happy to enjoy what we can see from our peaceful abode, hah!! :P
Possibly! I've seen people who hide little boxes of candy like that around the ship to be found, similar to the rubber duck game, but didn't want to assume, ha ha!! :P ~Jay
She didn't have a ton of photos from that first sea day, so no dedicated photo section in that Part 2 video, but I'll have to dig back and see if any were cool enough to post in our FB group maybe!! :P ~Jay
Ya think the pinkish color to the rooms is to motivate people too get back on the decks and around the things on the ship that you then buy, Psychologically pink ain't a great color for relaxing.
QUESTION DING DONG (lol) did they give you the different bread dippings or did you have to ask for them. We didn't get those on our last cruise so just curious.
It has been different from ship to ship. When they first came out with the extra toppings, they would bring them all. Then they went through a phase where you had to order both the bread and the toppings along with your food. Splendor, they brought out all the toppings each night. Spirit, they only brought butter and we didn't even ask about the extra toppings. So when in doubt, I guess it's by request only on most ships, hah...
I really love it when you connect up with the crew in a special way! How wonderful you were treated to a special Indian dinner!! 🤗
I really enjoy Dee's pics within the video.❤
The Indian food "spread" was unbelievable! Looked so good

Was the piano player before the show Scott Lyles? He’s my favorite!
It was indeed!! :D
Good morning
Beautiful pictures taken by Dee . How much optical zoom your camera have ?
40x optical. We disable the digital because it tends to lose quality past that.
How’s you guys have Indian food? It’s from the menu from special orders ?
The dinner they made for us that night was special from the chef because we met the food services manager earlier in the cruise and mentioned how much we loved Indian food. That was super nice of them!! :D

Was that yellow pocketbook might’ve had something to do with The onboard scavenger hunt?
Possibly! I've seen people who hide little boxes of candy like that around the ship to be found, similar to the rubber duck game, but didn't want to assume, ha ha!! :P ~Jay
The yellow purse is actually a mini cowbell.
@Keisha Russell I've got a fever... and the only prescription...
Did Dee get any pictures of the sun fish?
She didn't have a ton of photos from that first sea day, so no dedicated photo section in that Part 2 video, but I'll have to dig back and see if any were cool enough to post in our FB group maybe!! :P ~Jay
Edd (guitarist) was the one who opened Epic Rock!
Did you order that meal? Or did they just bring it to all tables?
No, it was a surprise made just for us that night! The chef came out at the end and we got to meet him. :D
@@parodeejay that was fantastic!
Mind the queue! It's simple.
Sorry, I’m a day late watching you, we are on Symphony with children and their families. Took a little break to watch you!

You weren't kidding last night - I'm going to OD on Indian food if your food choices keep influencing me!
Naan is like sex...Naan in the morning and Naan at night...for Jay it was almost Naan in the afternoon.
Thats a lot of talking
They have deal on no deal on this ship 🛳??
They did indeed!!
@@parodeejay I was in that ship in may to Alaska I love the Indian food 🥘😍
