@@Crisalpha for sure, if you suck you suck but i'd rather see my newbie friend on a pally or bear than a vdh vdh is just harder to play, same like bdk, and it being flavor of the month ofc makes it an issue in medium range keys
@@CrystalzDCUO vdh is far easier to play then paladin rn. Most tanks are broken down by sustained dcds and rotational dcds. Sustained dcds are really hard to mess up, rotational dcds require a lot of dungeon knowledge and not panic overlapping them after a big hit for a new tank. With a new player friendly build, you can easily maintain 100% sigil of flame uptime and 100% of demon spikes uptime versus 100% consecrate uptime. under spikes and sigil, vdh can live much higher keys with nothing else then paladin can with only consecrate making the baseline for learning vdh far easier then it is on paladin. Anyone who plays all tanks will agree that vdh has a much more new player friendly kit
? Lmao tanks haven’t been needing to be healed for a long time in keys going back a few expansions…unless your a monk or warrior and sometimes Druid….most tanks have strong self healing because no healer can spot heal us to full instantly….and if the tank dies…likely so does your run.

I wonder what weeks groups will try this on. This doesn't seem possible on the fort/bursting week because the bursting will just murder everyone. Even the spiteful week will be tough because you either eat the spitefuls with no healer or you have to move out and dodge juggs.
Spiteful is probably a lot easier, actually. No way a good set of coordinated players gets hit more than a few times in an entire dungeon. You can use Typhoon + Vortex, Mass Entaglement, most sigils, Blastwave, Frost Nova, Ring of Frost, Wing Buffet/Landslide, etc. Bursting has similarly effective strategies for highly coordinated groups. Everyone can play Dwarf. If you have a paladin tank, you also have Spellwarding. Mage and Rogue can immune on their own. Now that Shadow priest is somewhat viable, you can use Mass Dispell. Bursting isn't such a bad affix as long as you kill everything together (i.e., don't roll the debuff) and plan your immunities/Dwarf racial around specific pulls, which players of this level definitely do. With good enough routing and priority damage, you can generally kill everything at the same time. On the other hand, a single cast from a mob with a few stacks of bolstering, and at least one DPS is dead. Of course you can use many of the same tricks I mentioned above to avoid this, but I feel that it's far easier and more punishing to make a mistake. Frankly, Bursting and Spiteful are both affixes that get far easier the higher the key. Not only is it a smaller percentage of the damage, but good coordination can almost delete the affixes entirely.
Taking away the ability to tix talent/spec mistakes would cause way more harm than would be justified. Losing a key to someone accidentally being the wrong spec matters more than some niche strategies at the bleeding edge involving taking the time loss to swap.

Frost mage doesn’t lose arcane intellect for being frost. death knight’s is grip. All specs can do it and it feels weird having someone else ape the bit.

This was a well executed and smartly strategized run. The world record run will never be perfect, that’s true about all leaderboards. When a new best route is found the first runs that use it will be non optimal. It takes time to be refined. Nothing about this run seems casual to me. Could you say more on what your idea of casual is?

Vengeance dh having the most health, damage, mitigation, self healing, cc, aoe stops and mobility of all tanks is so balanced

The entire first cc chain is absolutely ridiculous. 25-30s of aoe cc lockdown with only one ability (oppressing roar) not use by the demon hunter.

Don't allow zoning, but let us swap talents; on the condition it works like mass res where it cancels if ANY member of the group enters combat.
They should disable zoning out during a run. What you start with is what you have for the entire run

Sigil of chains is a mistake. Gripping is death knights specific niche. Get rid of it for DH.
Uncapped AOE is a mistake. Uncapped AOE is a fire mage specific niche. Get rid of it for all other classes.
