Just to clarify that we have been doing the same thing ever since. I'm 3rd generation Pakistani Kashmiri in England 🇬🇧 born and bred here. My great grandad was a big man in the Ends ( in Kashmir) he was the chief of the village and at that time the partition between India and Pakistan was going on , so we were at war with the Sikhs and Hindus so my great grandad had 3 daughters he picked 3 of the baddest young men from our village and said you are marrying my daughters.
