  • Karjalan jääkärien marssi (March of the Karelian Jaegers) is a Finnish military march. It serves as the honorary march for the North Karelia Brigade and is part of the Finnish Defense Forces' traditional marches. The melody is believed to be a folk tune from late 18th-century North Karelia, possibly from Liperi, and was preserved by the Hällström family. Military bandmaster Lenni Linnala arranged it for piano in 1910, and Elli Hällström wrote the lyrics in 1918. It was adopted by the Karelian Mounted Jaeger Regiment during the Finnish Civil War and officially recognized in 1919.
The footage and the audio in the video is from the finnish propaganda film "Kaunis Karjala" from 1941.
This video was made to honor the memory of the brave Finnish soldiers who fought and died for their country against Bolshevik Russia's war of agression in the continuation war, which began on this day, June 25th.
    Kuolema bolshevismille ja Venäjälle!
    Eläköön Suur-Suomi!
(It's coincidentally also the day my account was created)

The Swedes were polytheists before christianity. Finnish mythology at least allows for a creator God.
We will never again be subordinated to anyone.
