I've seen both Picturesque and SWS live. I honestly don't understand why people like to compare Kyle Hollis and Kellin Quinn, both are great singers. Both use very different techniques to achieve their sound. Kyle Hollis, (the lead singer of Picturesque), is using a mixed range. With his chest, and head voice both playing a part. He can hit 3 notes above Kellin Quinn, c6 vs g5. Kellin Quinn, however, is only using his chest voice when he sings, which is a rarity among high tenors and countertenors. With enough practice, a tenor who could hit c5 in the chest could most likely mix up to f5, g5, a5, b5, or c6. As Kyle is doing. However, fully chesting a smooth f5 note, as Kellin Quinn does in the end of "If I'm James Dean Then You're Audry Hepburn", as well as many other songs. Is only achievable, if you were born in that range, or had an extraordinary amount of training when you were still prepubescent, to keep your chest that high. Kellin Quinn is getting older, and with age, your voice gets deeper. He sometimes struggles to hit the f5, and g5 notes in his songs now that he's into his 30's. I did see SWS not even a month ago though, 3rd time. I got the VIP package with the acoustic song. He sang with Ear's to See, and Eye's to Hear. He hit every note spot on, without a mic, (which means without autotune). He hit all of them perfectly. So just enjoy both of the bands, equal but separate. Stop trying to compare two singers who are of different ages and different tessituras.

After watching I had a thought about Picturesque, and I’m just like, all this hype for these women who can hit these ‘high notes’ and I’m like ‘Uh, have you ever heard of Picturesque and Kyle Hollis?!?” Haha, he slays!

Let me clear this up kellin quinn uses auto tune anyone who's gone to a sleeping with sirens concert knows kellin can't hit these notes and when he does you can notice he's using a special filtered mic this guy in picturesque can actually hit these knows and sing like this with and without the mic I've seen him do it live.
he cant hit those high notes anymore, he once could, though it didnt sound nearly as good as it did on record, however pretty sure he damaged his vocal chords.
He rises and lowers his voice the same as Kellin. If that makes sence. So if you don't hear Kellin in these vocals. its just the same vocal technique I guess.
Now it's difficult for me to choose which band is the best for screaming. Is it... Picturesque? Youth In Revolt? Too Close To Touch? Hail The Sun? Sianvar? PM Today? Avion Roe? A Skylit Drive? Of Machines? Secret and Whisper? Alive Like Me? Broadway? Before Their Eyes? Circa Survive? Saosin? Sleeping With Sirens? Drop Dead Gorgeous? Bleach Blonde? I don't know men.. It's a hard decision.
