4- 27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:27-29 (SECOND REBUFF OF HIS MOTHER!!) . I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalm 138:2KJB
3- "Not a single creed, nor confession of faith, nor catechism, nor passage in patristic writings contains one syllable about the pope, still less about faith and doctrine being derived from him." 2- By the way, since your kind likes to latch on to what Christ said to Peter, how about this, in that same chapter: . 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he [Jesus] turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Mat 16:22-24 So, do you also believe Peter is Satan?
3- how come you people don't latch on to what Jesus said elsewhere: . But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Mat. 4:3-5 . And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:3-4 . And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. Luke 8:20-22 (first REBUFF of His mother!!)
You couldn't figure it out? wow!! . Jesus CONTINUALLY claimed the word of God to be more important than anything else! He was ALWAYS preaching about keeping the word of God, staying in the word of God! . IF it were that Jesus' mother were to carry ANY importance, Jesus would have been extremely solicitous to her, and not just make her wait outside, in Luke 8:20-22 !! . In Luke 11:27-29 Jesus had the opportunity to elevate his mother, and he made sure he did not! He never even called her MOTHER!
Dark Ages? I guess context is not your forte!! What do the dark ages have to do with anything about which we have commented? . I know several Fundamentalist Scholars! But what on earth does that have to do with this video or the comments? Are you schizophrenic?
