As a lifelong 12 string player who likes them clean and distorted... well done! Once you've bent a 12 string, no 6 string bend will ever quite satisfy...
I cant hear metal with that color
Im hearing Maroon 5
Not about the color, its the tone
Kajuan Gaston I mean that dar LIGHT BLUE
I see a blue guitar I want to paint it black, no color with my shred I want to painted black
אהההעאבעאבאעהערהע אתה פההההה
finally been waiting so long for someone to play metal on a 12 string and you certainly delivered:) Keep rocking Tyler \m/
Megadeth already did it like almost 30 years ago. Look up Trust - Megadeth live
Very good... but does it doom? String that bastard with 19s, tune it down to A, crank the mids and drive the amp to stupid o'clock...
Richard Harrold this needs to be the new "does it djent." does it doom? Haha
I'm a mega fan of stoner/doom. Check out the Stoned Meadow of Doom UA-cam channel, and bands like Space Raptor, Bone Hawk and Cloud...
Richard Harrold Yup. Albino Rhino.
Stoned Jesus? And obviously Candlemass
Oddly, I hadn't heard of the latter two. Thanks for mentioning, proceeding to check them out henceforth...
Richard Harrold yeah, I like them. Candlemass is like Epic Doom. If you check them out, start with Nightfall I'd say. Really any album with Messiah Marcolin or the first.
Stoned Jesus.. I like Seven thunders Roar. I'm the mountain(not the remastered version is awesome).
I'll check out yours haha
Decided to look up 12 string shred. Was more than everything I hoped it would be
I only have an acoustic 12 string. Tough to bend on that :'(
OMG that 2 hand bend:) 12 strings are hard.
This was awesome. And now imagine tuning these paired strings in intervals... crazy.
We use a 12 string guitar in most songs from our album Dioivo II (melodic black metal), as we are a guitar and drums duo it really helps to make them sound fuller.
Man that was sick. Power chords on a 12-string sound freakin' awesome. I think I should buy one.
The high bends on that thing is clean as frick holy balls
that final bend sounded awesome
Pffft he said crazy distortion. DO YOU EVEN GUITAR BRO. 😉😜
Loved this! The world needs more distorted 12-string action. I've been playing distorted electric 12 for ~14 years now (metal and punk)for those octave riffs and those screaming bends when soloing! You just can't fake that gorgeous sound! Great job!
Man at 1:11 min that bending was cool , sounded like a desperate scream , like you are torturing the guitar ,and she is screaming for her life , lol
Imagine if Angus or Slash played a 12 string.
I can't help but think it sounds more like hard rock than anything
He's gonna be so happy when he finds out about humbuckers
What about flying v in gibson factory?
MORE GAIN!!!!!!!!!
Awall 327 SLAYERRRRR!!!!
Awall 327 one hell or s tone wtf u on
Buy him some true velvet single coil pickups then
Chords sounded really full and... lush? Not sure how to describe but it sounded great. Awesome little composition and riffage in that too! 🤘🏼
I know what you mean about changing your style, which is why I rate The Song Remains The Same from the live album so much. If you notice, Jimmy does such a fast set of leads throughout it, and literally never bends the strings! Because as you didn't say, it takes a lot more effort to do and kills your fingers (your guage may vary).
I’d like to see this much much heavier. Like Lamb of God, Meshuggah, actually playing hella drop Djenty shit. I’m extremely curious about the mechanics, sound, and setup for something like that.
Omg Tyler we need more metal stuff from you
I thought he was going to play songs from heavy metal bands that used 12 strings, but it was still pretty damn cool
This was the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while
1:09 literally sounds like a scream
How about 18 strings ?
9 string with doubled octave
Cool vid keep up the good work 😄
That guitar sounds amazing.
i like distorted 12 string.
I've had a 1275 twin neck for a number of years. You can certainly get some awesome sounds out of it into a dirty channel.
It's a bitch to play, and I only do one song on it now for one act I play with, but you've inspired me to dig it out and use it on this next batch of writing and arranging
Had a Vox XII back in the day ... never distorted it ,,,, or played lead ... your playing rocks ~~~!!!!
I swear even when you are trying to be dark it’s happy
Very impressive... but ca- OH! Wrong channel!
I regularly play hard rock and classic rock songs with my electric 12. “Alright Now” and “Highway To Hell” both sound brilliant. I don’t fully bend when soloing with a 12-string electric but often I’ll give it a tiny push up that implies a half or quarter step bend but is really only a microtonal amount to trick a listener’s ears. Honestly, I urge anyone with an electric 12-string to run it on some serious distortion. It works brilliantly in the same way that a traditional octave fuzz does.
Great Surfcaster
Yes. Attempting do Djent without hum buckers
Sounds great... Just don't steal Rick Graham's spastic hand quiver. Changing from the fist to the devil horns is not original enough.
To all the people complaining apparently you really don't know about he's using single coils in that guitar that's why it sounds like it dose
thats why melechesh (Correct me if the spelling is wrong) uses 12 string for metal.
Wow! Be djental with that man, you might just melt someone's face off.
I was really looking for Fear's "I don't care about you" on a 12 string...
so if you become a rockstar that exclusively uses a 12 string does that automatically make you cooler? John Denver was pretty cool, just sayin'.
This sounds so Heavy and beautiful at the same time Awesome
Heautiful
Yeah dude. Dope as always. You know what the fuck you're doing, thats for sure!
Respect!
Dave Mustaine played a Megadeth song with a double neck (6 strings and 12 strings)
It's not heavy metal. It's glam hair post-djentcore with a little bit of technical black metalcore.
If you take your higher strings and seperate one from each pair by a half-step in pitch, you could play Rings of Saturn solos by yourself 😂
So the discount version of this is an octave pedal if I'm right. This definitely sounded fantastic!
Came here for 12 string acoustic djent, pleased but not satisfied * hint hint djent an acoustic next
You got guitar acumen but I don't what it is but metal riffs, licks & phrases are silly. I'd keep it rock or blues.
Dude you absolutely killed it on that 12 string oh my god
That was nice! Made me feel like going surfing for some weird reason!
Nobody understands the eastwood pun lol
It’s the seafoam
He'll yea surfing for sure into a another dimension
Can you play like Lil Wayne on that 12 string???
I can hear your Satch influence, and lots of other flavours here. Pure goodness.
The (Fucking) Champs have used a 9 since the 90's. G.B.E doubled.
Weird double or chorus type effect it is not, definitely doubler on the B/E strings, octaver on the rest. If you wish to correct your effect unit analogy!
This is made from a 6 string, right? Imagine a 16 string made from an 8 string
I have never heard you talking about Jack White. It came to my mind because this guitar is so him. But why so?
Beautifull, but useless. Nobody plays metal to be original anymore.
New amp, new display, new mac😍😍
If you can't afford an octave pedal just buy a 12-string guitar.
next time we should have whammy bars for 12 strings
I think Tyler is the best UA-camr when it comes to bends.
I didn't see a single metal zone, this is unacceptable!
I think it sounds interesting, but not really the greatest noise, obviously. Very cool though.
I don’t know how this doesn’t have more views this is fucking cool as hell
Reckon that each string should make a power chord but that risks breaking the string
Sounded awesome. Sounded more like some prog rock than metal though but thats a good thing.
If you double track a twelve string guitar what does it sound like?
What string do you use for 12 string electric Guitar ?
Holy fuck tyler started something
Dave mustaine shred his double neck jackson king v, so it does shred and jent o course!
Would a doubler effect work just as well if you're on a budget?
Kinda sounds like a Mercyful Fate song in my opinion
Sounds like Christian metal😂😂
THIS IS SEXY AF!! WHY THE FUCK DO YOU NOT HAVE AN ALBUM OUT ALREADY!
Seems fake, the high g string didn't even break once during the video
I'm waiting for Meshuggah - Demiurge
Bending is working only for high E and b string rest of strings have sounded normal
Sounded better than most djent out there. Lower tunings are overrated, I guess
i found exactly what i was looking for
Nice, Can You please write an entire metal song with this guitar.
Sounds like 00’s rock & modern metal mix
tell us more about the white mqrshall in the corner! great chsnel
Watch 12 strings become the norm for metal 😂
daily viewers hit like!
Dude what guitar is that? It's bad ass looking
You should tune every second string to create a tritone or minor third
not enough gate for the yents.
gotta gate the yents.
yenty boi 12.
Sounded more like deathcore to me, but good nonetheless
The intro song sounded really dream theatre like. Sounded great
Were is the fucking distorcion?! Xd
it's like you have a second guitarist
There's some Mastodon Vibe here right ?
sounds more like pop metal.
Not only does it djent, but BOY does it djent.
I wouldnt call it heavy but it is metal.
Proof that you can djent on the high E string.
This sounds a lot like dream theater for some reason (definitely a good thing).
