This isn't just a way around government, it's massive improvement overall. When you buy beef or pork that's raised 5 mi from your house, it just tastes better. And it feels great knowing that you're supporting someone in your community.
Don't know if there are any dairies that still do it today, but 30 years ago we bought fresh raw milk from a local dairy. They had a "milk" room with several refrigerators containing fresh milk, it was self serve, you left your empty containers and got what you wanted, left the money in a coffee can. Strictly honor system. This was in central Texas. Enjoyed your show as usual. 👍👍👍
Did the same in rural Georgia about that same time-frame. Fill your own containers. Leave money in the amo can. Rinse down the floor before you leave. Best milk.
I’ve started buying eggs from Mennonites with a sign at their driveway instead of the grocery store. Saving $1.50+/dz. from the grocery store pricing. Buy beef from neighbor who grazes in my own pasture and has it processed by Amish butcher. I process my own deer in the kitchen. Guess that qualifies for the grey market meat/eggs?
It makes it a lot easier to do this if you have super awesome neighbors. My neighbor is an awesome lady that's a baker of gluten-free and low carb baked goods. She buys eggs from us all the time. Knowing that your neighbors have your back makes a huge huge difference.
I started purchasing primal cuts at Costco and a local farm on occasion. I break it all down at home into what I want and vacuum seal it. I save a lot of money that way. This year planning on infrastructure for raising rabbits and chickens. Been looking into quail also.
Everyone around me raises beef and chicken. We raise pigs, sheep, goats, and rabbits, all pasture raised. I process my own and provide the service for friends and neighbors who buy from the other locals. Everyone is tired of the overpriced low quality meat from the grocery store.
Renting a room for $300 a month is definitely pre COVID levels. I'm in Tennessee and I see ads all the time on Facebook marketplace for rooms that are 500 to 600 a month. And this is not in a large city
Moonshine and a few other things are openly traded in Lincoln County, TN. Anyone that wanted it, including the Sheriff, just drove around the back of the house to a window handed the guy his money and left with his stuff. And that's within the last 20 years. Probably like that in most places.
The successful weed guys that I knew used all of their weed money for their cash expenses. Food, consumable items, etc. Never anything flashy. Their jobs were used to pay for their trackable expenses. House, car, etc
Something ive noticed is everything is getting so expensive that the price difference between basic food and "luxury" food is narrowing. Which seems like a really good opportunity to market premium products.
We have sold every duck egg laid except a few rejects I get to keep for months now at 12 a dozen. Recently we've had people we can't get product to ask about chicken egg, my wife is like, "what do we price them at they barely sold in the past", I am like 8 bucks as sh-tty ones in the store are that much now. She wasn't sure but NO ONE SAID NO. Honestly we should be at 10, most are asking mostly for soy free feed. Almost no one has that because the food is either very expensive or you have to do what we do, buy in bulk and dive 90 miles for it. The advantage though? I pay less a bag even counting gas for premium feed then locals pay for Purina garbage.
@@survivalpodcasting I'm currently doing soy and corn-free feed for my chickens and we sell our eggs at $5 a dozen and do make a bit of profit on it. I'm in rural Tennessee though so our markets are different. Some people scoff at the price and wonder why they're not $2 a dozen and I tell them to go to Walmart, they don't need to be my customer.
I raise Quail and Mealworms to feed to the Quail. I have incubators so I tried some eggs from a farm and got a hen in November and Nick the chick popped out Christmas night. I do not know the name of the breed but they are black and white from brown eggs.
I could say a lot on this topic but we all know authoritative employees who thrive off the slavery of others, aka taxes, often get their jollies when exerting power. Let's just say. Yes. More and more people are finally realizing local black market milk, eggs, meat, etc , is where it's at.
There's a massive difference between old boomers and younger boomers. The people we consider to be hippies are all in their late 70s and 80s. I've noticed the most pro government boomers are all in 60s.
Started raising ducks in my backyard here in SATX, and gotta say some of the best meat and eggs ive ever had cus i know what theyve been fed and well taken care of only allowed 8 birds, but if i raise more and get reported due to some busybody I can just say "no worries, i'll be back down to 8 birds in about 2 months or less" 😁
I own a semi, I did about ten loads of meat and bone meal to a pet food company. You have to push and shovel to get it out of the hopper, and it gets all over you. I can't stand to even smell dry pet food anymore.
I've been trying to find someone to buy duck eggs to run a special at my restaurant. So if you are reasonably close to a city and thinking about raising something, go to your popular breakfast restaurants and see if they are interested in something
We got a lot of restaurants when we were bigger, none were using duck eggs for breakfast though. Some on top of really cool dishes like one put them on a sweet potato chip appetizer. Bed of fried sweet potato chips, topped with some duck confit and a sunny side duck egg on top. This one customer used 80 dozen a month and wanted more. They eventually decided a dollar an egg was too expensive in spite of selling out constantly. The app was 14 dollars a serving, they could of just raised the price to 15 or even 15.99 and sold just as many and made more profit. But this is the down side of restaurants, many chefs are economically ruh-tarded. Ramping up to serve a customer like this then losing them to stoopid decisions by the same customer sucks.
Another issue with rabbits is the emotional factor. I've eaten wild rabbit (cottontails) but I've also had pet rabbits and it would be really hard for me at this point to raise and eat rabbit. I have no qualms with chickens.
Out of the first twelve videos that were recommended to me while watching your video. There were four anti meat videos. YT algos must be setup by the WEF.

In California the word is “trade”. I know a chiropractor who trades for many services. From haircuts for him and spouse to meals.
We're having trouble getting eggs at Costco in San Francisco.

You sure they are boomers, the oldest GenXrs now are 65 now. Though if there is a F the government generation alive today it is GenX.

Never seen that on “Dirty Jobs “ but yeah sounds like it sucks. My dog thanks you.
Not Peoria Illinois rooms are going for around 600
@survival-podcasting0 why
I had two turkeys drown themselves in 3 in of water. I'm not joking. They were about 5 weeks old.
So close to getting past the polt suic-de phase.

I've been told once you start making lots of bunnies and deal with a lot of them, this tends to ebb off. But we are all different people.

Despite the majority of boomers today, hating government is the foundation of the boomer generation. Just most surrendered by the 80s.
