    I just discovered the existence of Brian Cox. And I love him. As someone who often speculate about the meaning of life and if there even is one, he, with beautiful ease, through science just answered that question. He's brilliant.

    [approximately 12:25] "Believing yourself to be right, a Trumpian approach". I'm starting to see the word Trumpian, on my newsfeed. Usually it's to do with his limited vocabulary. It says something when a legend such as Brian Cox uses this word. The world thinks Trump is a fool and there is little to no respect for him.
    I never watched an interview or lecture with Brian Cox that wasn't profoundly interesting. The man is a national treasure and an inspiration.

      ryd555 Well, Cox is a theoretical particle physicist, which means he'd have access to just as much information as a cosmologist and a bloody good reason to ensure he utilized it.
      Rather ironically these days 'Everyone' has access to that same information. Few however know what to look for, what it means, how to even read it, or even where to look for it in the first place!
      [Hint: Joes blog on magic brainwaves from quantum physics, probably not the source I was suggesting]
      But I don't think we can hold the world of science responsible for that since they publish it as if its going out of style.

    The entire universe or the cosmos is like a cobwebs. The line of action is the fluxes flowing to control the motion including spin the direction change.

    • @venkateshbabu5623
      @venkateshbabu5623 6 років тому

      The line starts from south to north and ends up in north of others and goes out the south like a flexible ring guided by the neutrino.

    • @venkateshbabu5623
      @venkateshbabu5623 6 років тому

      The flux lines are just alignment of electrical particles. The flux line exist only in one direction of flow.

    • @venkateshbabu5623

      These lines can take any shape of network and spin is created once a line is curved

    • @refragerator
      @refragerator 7 років тому +1

      YES! Audio is by far the most important for this type of video. I can deal with bad focus or blurry video, especially since I don't have to focus on what I see all the time. But if the sound is bad, crackling or whatever, watching, concentrating and understanding become so much harder.

    200 years to put reflecting mirrors in place at a La Grang point Professor Cox?
    I would suggest that its could feasibly be done within 20 years given the rate of current technology advances and the example of the soon to be launched JWST (on similar principles of deflecting the Sun's radiation in order to keep the mirrors at 40 Kelvin above absolute zero)
    Not that The Prof reads these comments but an interesting discussion point amongst ourselves perhaps.

      I would think that the mirrors needed to reflect enough sunlight would be massive. Much larger than the James Webb and would require international collaboration and pooled resources to manufacture and launch. Getting the world to work together in such fashion could easily be hardest and most time consuming hurdle...

    If you spin something in free space it creates charge and electricity and magnetism and force and gravity and particles. Why.

      Spin doesn't create gravity or particles, and specific materials are needed for it to create electromagnetic forces

    What is a wave a circular spread of energy. Because the radius increases you rearrange energy. Energy always reduces. That's why we have emptiness in space. The movement of earth is because of energy from Sun a constant because otherwise earth can fly off. Why does earth spin. Interference of magnetic field of earth to that of Sun light. Magnetic field of Sun can never affect earth because of parallels. If it does it would change poles every year. Pole gain of earth is dew to Sun light. Similarly black holes can never effect any other black holes. Merge means galaxy cross over.

      Earth spins cos something started it spinning billions of years ago eg an asteroid skimming off it as it passed.Space is a void so anything that starts spinning has nothing to stop it.For earth's movement around the sun look up Einsteins spacetime curved by the sun's mass.Wheeler summed it up with "Mass tells spacetime how to curve ,and curved spacetime tells mass (earth) how to move.Hence, earths orbit around the sun and not floating off into space.

      @@astroroadshow GPS wouldn't work without his time dilation in special relativity. Less gravitational pull where satellite dishes orbit means time moves at a different speed than on earth.The satellites must be adjusted to account for this or else things like GPS would fail .Time dilation is when Time moves at different rates depending on gravity strength or speed of movement.This is so mind-blowing (and experimentally proven), that it should be law to teach it in schools ,in my opinion.Black hole gravity is so strong that time all but slows to a complete stop..-1 second there would equate to an eternity in time .Hubble telescope recently photographed light from nearby stars bending in a circle around a black hole because its gravity is so strong.If theoretically you shone light from inside a blackhole the light would not escape because the gravity would be too strong to allow this.

    Brian says the important thing is "consistency" well for him and his pseudoscience, he is right on that observation due to the fact they are all consistently wrong!
