Masa gets great tone on this one again. This cat knows how to run is amp and how to use his hands. His amp is probably a modeling amp going straight in. But these days, that tends to sound better than the real thing, and with less noise. Raw meaty tone again on this record.

For the main E-G-A part you can use E minor or E Dorian. Then when it goes to C-B7- E, you can use E harmonic minor over the B7.

Interesting that someone else noticed that. I believe it actually changes keys. I believe the E5-E5-G-A section is in D major (A Mix), while the C-B-E-E section is in E minor. E minor pentatonic works over both sections because it ignores both C and C# which is the difference between the keys.

This is about as deep and stinky of a groove as you can get. Go any deeper and you cut through the LP 33 record. Note how they have our records play at 33 1/3 rpm. Just another coincidence. I am coincidence theorist.

most of the times impro is just stuff that you already know combined in the way you feel it will soud nice, not always creating licks from the top of your head... of course you can create something from scratch but give it time, learn more solos to get mor ideas and train your ear, it helps a lot. and remember that sometimes not the hardest lick will sound better, you can do magic with 2 notes sometimes... take that backing track for example, it sounds amazing, and it is realy simple
