If Disney wants to sell more tickets and win back hearts, they need to reach out to Brickey and pay this man to make content like this. You sir would be a great asset to the Disney company. You are very gifted Brickey
“I don’t want the public to see the world they live in while they’re in the park. I want them to feel they’re in another world” - Walt Disney Thanks Brickey for sharing a portal to Disneyland! ❤
This is, without a doubt, one of the best things I have ever watched on UA-cam. Your words and voice tone made this. I thank you for your time and all of the thoughts and efforts that went in to creating this treasure.
There’s a lot of things the in the park that haven’t changed for the better. But, if you take the time to stop and look around through a different set of eyes, you can still find pockets of magic the way Walt envisioned. Thank you Brickey, for another great video that pulls at the heartstrings!
Brickey!!! Man, you want to talk about bringing a 44 year old man to tears. This video is a wonderful video into the understanding of why and how we love Disneyland so much. Nostalgia!
You don't know how much you mean to people like me! It's so hard to be a creative in isolation. You are the answer to the dreams of my childhood. Never stop!
Beautifully done video, Brickey. I could see how much work was put in in lining up all those shots, and with the great music selection, it evoked so many emotions. Keep up the good work!
What an amazing video showing the then and now of Disneyland that still allows anyone to explore, dream, and become anyone or anything they wanted to be. For those of a different generation, what a way to show the difference of the beginning on now of Disneyland and a time that still stands true. For me, a young blond toe haired boy, my love for Disney all started at the tables of Galactic Grill listening to a cover band singing Laura Branigan's song "Gloria". Insat there beating the table as if i was a drummer. I have always wanted to play the drums, however, im a musically challenged. Therefore to this day i beat the steering wheel, the air, my thighs as if I'm Phil Collins!! I've said this before, and I'll say it again, Disneyland I can be any age and when I step back in, I revert back to a 10 yr old boy who wants to see it all and do it all.
I was a D-Land local back in 93-95. I was one of the last to have a laminated passport. I still remember all the little hidden details. It’s changed so much even since then. Thank you for this.
I've always wondered if Anaheim locals go to the park a lot. For a lot of people it's crazy to think of going to Disneyland like it's the local public park.
Love this 😍 so sentimental. So many fond memories as a small child through teenage years & adulthood. Now I’m taking my grandchildren & creating a whole new generation of amazing memories 💟
This was a wonderful tribute to Walt's vision. What fun to see Art Linkletter, Irene Dunne, Admiral Fowler, Bob Cummings, a movie star named Reagan and of course Walt, himself, all carefully juxtaposed against 2024 imagery. People waving from the Castle Parapets? Awesome! Thank you for your artistic eye, and for the pains taken to create this. Well done!
I went to Disneyland last year. Before that, it was in the 90s. There was A LOT more to experience this time around, but lots of rides broke down and there were SO many people I couldn't do half as much as I wanted to, plus the Main Street Parade was impossible to see. I was so excited to get back, and was also a bit disappointed, especially after the hefty price tag.
The Mark Twain was my 1st steamboat, the DL train was my 1st train ride as well. Now that I'm thinking about 1st Autopia was my 1st "real" driving experience. all my Disneyland 1st in one video...
This was a fantastic video, Brickey! What a beautiful tribute. I loved this so much. You did a great job editing this. Thank you for bringing yesteryear into our today!
Art Linkletter received the exclusive rights to camera and film concessions at Disneyland for ten years as payment for opening day in lieu of union scale.
Awesome. What I like about your vlogs is that they’re well conceived, well written and well presented and never too long. Some Disneyland vloggers seem like they’re going for Ad impressions because their videos are drawn out and too frequent. Your vids are always concise and entertaining and never outstay their welcome. Thanks!
Hey Brickey! I don’t usually give out my age or gender or what I’m doing at the moment when it comes to leaving a comment but I’m a 45 year old dude and I’m crying right now. Thanks! That was a really really good Video. I usually go to Disney World every year but couldn’t go due to no money. I said before in a different video I never been to DisneyLand and b/c of your videos I actually considered going there. I looked into trying to go there instead and then realizing the cost, that too made me cry b/c its to expensive at the moment. The dreaming part is what got me by the way. I’ll keep dreaming of being out there in the Land of the West I guess.
Hell yeah. This is the kind of retrospective I love and you presented it in a really cool way. Sure, Disney is changing quite a bit from what it used to be, and in many ways not necessarily for the positive, but this video reminds me of those things that harken back to the good old days of the original Disneyland of my childhood.
Brickey, you have out done yourself. The story, narration, and editing are worthy of a Disney Studios film. I feel that Walt himself would have enjoyed giving you a pat on the back for this one. Please friend keep up the amazing work, and honestly I don't think I enjoy getting notified of a new video from anyone else as much as yours. Thank You so much friend, and may all your dreams prosper.💖🏰✨
I wish i could keep on liking this. I have been dying for years for images like such that show exactly what was opening day disneyland and what is in its place now. Thank you doesnt say enough
I've just visited the Disneyland Resort for the first time (my Home Park is Disneyland Paris) and I cannot describe by words what I felt when I entered Main Street, seeing all the characters, some on rides (!!), seeing all the movements on Main Street with cars, trams, bus...feeling such a special atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Disneyland is indeed a special place, with great rides, for sure, but there's something magical that I have not felt for years. So, yes, Disneyland is still worh it and will continue to be worth. I've spent 4 incredible days at your resort that I will never forget!
Brother your last video is great, this is another video that takes us in another direction with such prefect memories of the past. Bro, I truly mean this, You made Walt proud today with this video!

These last two videos have been fantastic! The nostalgia of watching the reruns of this stuff as a kid really makes the heart warm and fuzzy.
That was beautiful. As long as dreamers dream, we will have the magic of this amazing place. #DreamersStickTogether

Hey Brickey! Wow, so well written, narrated and edited. Really nice work.

Wow Brickey. This was truly award winning. I loved this video and it made me appreciate and love the park even more. Thank you for making this for us.
I can’t explain it, but Brickeys voice is very soothing. I could listen all day.
Agree. Very pleasant vibe.
