TOSHIBA P755 take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your TOSHIBA P755 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!

    You are right, I am kinda get used to different type of screws, for anybody else I recommend to make anything to remember where screws coming from.
    85C while hardcore gaming is not so bad. You can open it and make sure that heatsink is touching CPU well and a different paste will be nice, but it is up to you if you want to open up a new laptop :)
    Have a good luck anyway!

    Beware! Not all parts will come out this easy! On a cooling-fan cleaning my audio connector cable was extremely difficult to remove from the socket, I ended up tearing a wire. Now I have to buy a replacement audio cable for my exact computer model... My plan is to snip it, twist the wires, and tape it back up

    If your space don't work, maybe keyboard is bad and needs to be replaced. If your microphone isn't working. Make sure it is not working. Not only in one program but in different programs. Maybe reinstall drivers - etc. All what you need to do is to locate this mic in your laptop and first of all check if it is connected properly. If connection isn't a problem - maybe you will need to try another one.

    OK, did some research. P770 is black color with i5 and 640 hdd and 6gb ram, regular dvd.
    P775 silver with i7 750 gb hdd and 8gb ram and blue-ray.
    huge specs difference, but I think it still has similar design, just different color.

    Hi what tools did you use in this video. Specifically the yellow tools and what type of screw driver did you use?

  • @dave11222
    @dave11222 7 років тому

    Just a suggestion....you obviously can do what you want, but in order for that "antistatic" wrist strap and mat to be antistatic, they need to be connected to ground(earth). Another thing...since many components inside a laptop are suseptable to electromagnetic harm, the electric screwdriver is a no no since sparks are emitted from the brushes/commutator. It's a DC motor in there. You can't see the field, but trust me...it's there.

    • @regazzz
      @regazzz  7 років тому +1

      +dave11222 I know companies who utilize drills on everyday basis, no issues whatsoever. Otherwise the would be grounded with bad motherboards returns.

    Boot problem the start screen for about 2 seconds then tuns off.
    The heat conducting paste that goes in top of the processor flows its way to the rest of the CPU. Carefully scrape and set aside the grey compound you to later reuse it.
    Clean the processor with WD40 or some kerosen. Be careful not to scrape the soldered components on the processor surface.
    Clean the processor with alcohol, let dry. Put the paste it back on the processor, if dry less than a drop of wd40 on a pin head to soften.

  • @tresgonzalez
    @tresgonzalez 11 років тому

    working the original paste adding wd40 with a pinhead and it so it's dry dough consistency then pressing it with the heat plate checking to remove excess. My there is more silver solids in the old paste so it should be more conducting, if new use silver compound. I saw some heat sings in the video chip, the plastic skin bubbled around a diode. Hp TX1000 are modified removing the plastic conductor and replacing it with a copper shim with conducting compound on both sides, maybe p755 can benefit.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    All tools you will use at your own risk. With some knifes you can scratch a surface and it will look bad. My one is pretty thin and not sharp at all, I do not use plastic tool, just because it breaks all the time.
    This video is a complete disassemble video. Locate a microphone and you may figure out what parts you should take out and what not. Some times microphones are under a front bezel (screen bezel) sometimes in a casing, but to unplug from mother board you will have to remove a palmrest...

    On this particular laptop was a Samsung, if my eyes don't lie to me :)
    But it is pretty much does not matter because in the same type of laptop can bey hynix or elpida or kingstone.
    Just use the same numbers what you got there, brand is pretty much doesn't matter.

    Can the P755 have a dedicated GPU installed? I've ordered some parts to upgrade mine, and I'm not certain if it can take a GPU; I wouldn't know how/where to install it if it does.

    Hi, I took my p755 S5320 apart to reapply thermal paste to the CPU (and check if it was socketed which gladly it is) and when i was unplugging the speakers, the little cords with the pins came out but the actual connector itself didn't. I'm hoping it's possible to fix this, as once I get those working and figure out how to unbend some of the plastic (Toshiba's cheap plastic bent and now parts of the top cover aren't snapping into the bottom chassis- it looks weird when the rest of it is flush.)

      +ty ray good morning, it depends on what do you need to do in the upper part. If change a screen, than no, you don't need to remove it from a laptop, just go straight to a moment where I take a screen apart and you will get an idea on how to do it. I your hinges are bad, than you will need to remove a palmrest, that means most of the screws from the case bottom will be removed too and keyboard, but you might keep hdd in place if there are no screws under hdd that are holding a palmrest.

    Regazz? You should really be more specific.Is that the Toshiba Satellite P775-S7100 or what!? There are more than one P775,smh,smh...You could at least of turned the laptop over and allowed us all to see through the camera,the laptops accurate name -_-.Scratch that,I answered my own question...It's NOT the,Toshiba Satellite P775-S7100.That one is smaller.It may the 15 inch.You at least encouraged me to try to open up my Laptop and replace my screen myself,so for that I thank you :)

      Hello! You will need to flip the motherboard to get to a CMOS

      When you look at the flip side of the motherboard all you can see is a blue disk which resembles a capacitor rather than a battery
