Banner in the current MCU is a joke. He was completely fine in The Incredible Hulk, and the Avengers, but everything after, he was reduced to nothing but comedic relief.
Banner was never a fighter. It was his alter ego that was the fighter. People see it as being a "wimp" but that is definitely not what he is. Never has been. He's just a man who is more interested in science than fighting other people. But when he gets angry that's when the monster comes out, i like it that way, more relatable.

I like how she seems completely in control, self convinced that the sacrifice of inhumans to power her adaptoids would benefit the world as a whole. Justifying it by comparing the use of lab rats in the study of actual lethal disease. “Saving the world requires sacrifice”, she said. It’s funny that the term they came up with for Terrigen-infected people as “Inhuman.” She seems to embody that term without any abilities at all. Brilliant performance from both players in this scene. Her arrogance is appropriately infuriating. And you can really feel the restrained rage inside Bruce without seeing him turn green. She and her organization did not just embarrass the avengers, but her manipulation of him broke his heart. And he’s right; Monica only experimented with the idea of a relationship with him. The only time that she gets emotional is when he does his “Bye, Karen” walk. Maybe she saw the hulk as her escape plan if Aim forces did not show up in time. Or maybe she was genuinely hurt by Bruce noticing that even the relationship was an experiment to her. That she is generally surprised that he does not grasp her logic behind what Amy is doing. And the truth is, ironically, is that it's because Bruce Banner still has his humanity and is not all intellect or compromising as she is. It's like her entire view of the world is as if the planet is her own personal petri dish to mess with. She thinks for science gives her the right to do whatever she wants. No consequences. No remorse. She's lucky that he doesn't let the other guy take it from there.
Nah, Monica isn't that simple. Monica LIKES some of her experiments. She actually has an emotional connection to Bruce. She really wanted him to stay with her. She may have weird ideas about what it means to be a good mother, but her daughter Carmilla(who might be Bruce's, we don't know) had a pretty nice life. Sure Monica's experiment wasn't 100% successful, but.... Carmilla can survive stuff that'd kill an army.
I feel like a lot of people including me like both. The movies do great job in a lot of places and have quite a bit of flaws the game also does a lot of right things and also has flaws.
Kinda forgetting how the comics’ setting depends on who’s writing and the target demographic. There are far too many examples of over the top comedy along with gritty down-to-earth tragedy, while the MCU doesn’t really stray from its core audience (with a couple exceptions). The comics go all over the place, and its success lies in how they can reach different demographics with different heroes.
The thing about the MCU is that they seem to (well to me) mask the hero’s depression and regrets with comedy with only giving us a little bit of what our heroes are going through, although they do have some movies touching on these characters issues in movies like with Spider man FFH, endgame and IFW and a few others they still have the issue of masking the characters internal issues with comedy to keep the film from being too dark.
