I really like the designs for this line. I've built XCII-urania and I have XCIX-albere & C-efer waiting in my backlog. Masaki Apsy is on the credits because the chitocerium kits use his machineca body design the same as the Megami Device and Dark Advent kits. All of the character designs for the line are done by huke, who's probably most well known for being the artist for Steins;Gate and Black Rock Shooter.
I'm highly impressed by the in box options with this entire line. Very solid stuff. Love the fantasy British-ish infantry aesthetic they have going on, too. Very unique and fires the imagination.
When I got the Urania the bags were also coated in parfume??? Now maybe that is too much but I appreciate the presentation even if I did have to wash the smell off my hands haha
Oh another thing I want to add on. Is that the details are really fine. The very subtle minute stubs found on the body. Can easily be sanded away if you are not careful
I have a few Chitocerium. Love the design. Every elegant, noir. And I love how everything can be fitted into a Hexagon box. I actually bought 2 of this, so I have 8 Faces XD
I do enjoy the more doll like design of them, it helps a lot with the joints being to obvious like on normal girl kits also them beeing based on diffrent atoms is a nice touch since they are meant to be the building blocks of the world in the story.
This is by far my favorite line of girlpla. I really dig the gothic doll-like aesthetic. I actually purchased 4 of these so I could build each of them haha. Side note: really hoping the previous kits will get a rerun or at the very least just sell the updated faces. They used to have a normal anime look with hard lines and basic colors. The updated faces have a softer more detailed look like what you see here. They did reprint Platinum with her updated faces, so fingers crossed.
i have build the Platinum 1.5, the Adamas 1/5(?) and Urania Love them all. I would really recommend you to build the Urania or atleast the Platinum. Or well I hope your experience with this model can convince you because they are all "home runs". The Urania has to be one of the most unique display pieces out there with the whole lantern styled cage that you can ALSO FOLD INTO THAT BOX. It's incredible. Side Note: As you can tell the decals and the different joints aren't utilized much. These Kits with all their pre-printing seem to be aimed at a non painting crowd. But if you do want to paint, they give you the decals and the joint type more compatible with paint and traction.
The base is probably the best part of this line. Too many Gunpla and Galpla just have their parts lying around and getting jumbled into each other, and the only way to get some aspect of diegetic storage is by buying a frame arms session base, which aren't easy to find outside of japan.
has this kit opened your mind to trying other chitocerium kits? I myself just purchased my first chitocerium kit and am definitely looking forward to it.
Looks great, the cape looks amazing However the legs proportions seem off…. The back of the thighs has that huge crevice and something is off with the shoes but I can’t put my finger on it.
The whole thing about them is being these little doll soldiers. They originally got me into this kind of model kit. I don't like joints that much on my human figures but they were intentionally part here of the doll aesthetic. I quite enjoyed it.

That's one helluva name for a kit line and a kit name in general, pretty cool!

Everything from the packaging to the manual to the kit itself all very impressive!

Excited to see your first Chitocerium build! 👏🔧
I love the aesthetics of these kits
It made me think of Pokemon+Angelic Layer kind of way, because of the Girl-kit plus the keeping inside the Box.
I built Platinum 1.5 recently and was really impressed, I’ll definitely be getting more from this line! This one looks great! Lots of nice options
i picked up the cats from this line for kitbashing and they are great little kits

I get the aesthetic, but honestly, that was the least functional shovel I've ever seen😅
very detailed.... and full of holes! LOL
I misread the name of this kit as "carbonara" I must be hungry, lol.
