Well played! Got this game as a kid and was too stupid to figure out how to get past the first room so had my dad get me golden eye instead. Randomly searched this game and speed run today to see what I missed out on lol. Congrats!

Hey! Just discovered the Bell Slide earlier today. I’m sure that it does, but just for the sake of asking, do we know if it’s usable/viable on console versions of the game? I assume it was discovered and mainly used on the PC ports of the remaster.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on console versions! I only know if one runner in the discord that uses console, but I don’t believe he was learning the any% route. Bell sliding was discovered on pc yeah. It was discovered by TheBellTolls (E1M9 on UA-cam btw, he made the tutorial for the category) live on stream actually which was pretty cool to watch
@@Rifampin_ it was actually his video that led me to discovering bell sliding and the newer speedrunning methods for Turok 2, which is really cool haha. I loaded the game up and attempted to replicate bell sliding myself, I was able to open the door in the very beginning of Port of Adia, but couldn’t tell if the portal worked because I hadn’t thought to get any of the port keys prior to attempting it. Also attempted it at the second spot in Port, but the camera angle on the “You Died” screen changes, and I’m not sure if that affects the trajectory of where the flying model moves after death. It’s either affected by the camera angle, or I’m not changing direction quickly enough to get to the portal before the game boots me back out to the main menu. I’ll just have to keep experimenting on it, I suppose!
@@zsc_ghost8733 it is camera angle dependent so make sure for the first PoA bell slide you’re looking straight ahead at the door and don’t move your look-stick at all. That’s why our setups don’t involve mouse movement and we setup our camera angle before hand. We only adjust movement inputs if needed
Sub 49 is probably possible with current tech but would require insane precision and a little bit of RNG luck on your side. My sum of best if I recall correctly is either super low 49 or sub 48
Big congrats! I was lurking a little bit yesterday but had to go to sleep so I didn't watch this live. So glad to see the work paid off! :)

All 3 of the Turok original trilogy games have been remastered on steam and consoles, you should grab them to relive the nostalgia!

Is sub 49 or even 48 possible?
