Thank you for the uptime thing, I had 5 days racked up. Although, something I noticed moments ago was that I had Windows installed onto my SSD and all of my games installed onto a HDD I never even knew I had. I thought it was an SSD!

It doesn’t work sadly. This game deff has some major problems.
My game started experiencing huge drops back at the end of chapter 2 so I stopped playing till around chapter 3 season 2 and it still did it I started playing again last week and it does it in creative also now and it’s only Fortnite it does it on I can hold a steady 144fps on warzone but not Fortnite ? Games fucked
In chapter 5 season 1 I’ve had around 250 fps on a laptop with a rtx 2060, single i5-10300h, upgraded to RTX 4060, Intel I3-12100F and now not even 150 fps

The problem is your cpu u maybe need an i5 13600k or i5 12h gen. i3 is really bad. @@komunich

An SFC /scannow just is telling Microsoft OS that, if there is a problem. It will repair it, you could also do this in reg edit.

I have a 3070ti and a 12600k and was getting extremely bad stutter this chapter. What helped me is putting my textures on high in performance mode to get more gpu usage
High or epic? I have it uninstalled from the epic launcher, I’m assuming I need to turn it back on for it to work right?

@@Nukesfordays only reason I bring it up is cus on the side of that setting it says “your high textures are disabled please enable them” so I assume it has no use if I turn that to high or epic

For some people with Nvidia graphics that are older (like 16xx or 10xx graphic cards) i have a tip
If your graphic card have a error with Render Error (should be showed when Fortnite is being open.) and the newest drivers are causing a bsod (blue screen of death) then install the RECOMMENDED (by fortnite) drivers
where can I find the recommended by fortnite drivers?

If a message dont pop up then you have supported driver.

if your getting more than 100 fps anti lag off maybe try out chill, limit to 144fps or lower if u cant get 144. try all low settings with epic textures on performance with a resolution lower than 1440x1080 anything lower tbh and if that dosnt work try dx12 tsr low performance with a low streach res.

Yes it´s fine, I am experiencing really bad FPS drops with a 7800X3D/4080 so I would say there is an issue since they released the new map

After chapter 5 launched my pc does not stop doing fps drops/stutters and overall runs terrible now. My rig is not bad i have rtx 3060, ryzen 7 5800x, 40 GB memory, 240 hz monitor, b550m tuf motherboard, everythings updated, nothings corrupted, and this season fucked everything up. everytime im near a player fps stutters bad.

Y'all complaining but me with a fucking gtx 1060 some 7th generation i5 and 16 GB ram and 144hz monitor 😭😭
DirectX12 actually does perform more consistent, since its actually able to utilize your cpu more, while performance mode is limited to 4 cores with no hyper threading. It will not get you crazy high frames like 1300, but it also wont drop at all and will stay consistent trough the entire game. Use performance mode only if you have a low end pc with 4 cpu cores or less. But if you have something like an i5 12600k and a mid range card like a 3060ti, using DX12 will give you infinitely more stable experience than pf mode, only downside is the first 1 or 2 games which are going to stutter due to fortnite compiling shaders, but after that its smoth.

make sure that your hz and capped fps is the same as if on unlimited or higher fps then your hz its making your computer work more for nothing as hz=how much fps is shown on screen
