Doug, 125 is a little better representation I find, but that also depends on the kit. I built a 125 C4 and it was clearly undersized so I rebuilt it with a 124 kit. Also, pick up some JB Weld and use plenty on the inside of the body to glue on bumpers etc.

Thanks, that sounds like some good information.

Thank you, I have seen all of your videos and am especially jealous of those vintage stockers. If you have not already seen them, check out Clearwater 124 ua-cam.com/video/zUqL32PJfE4/v-deo.html

I am looking at more vintage stock cars still. Can you get these models already painted and decals in place? Anyway I will be interesting seeing what needs to be done to mount to the chassis etc.🏁

@@Lews_SlotCarTesting I don't know of any way to purchase them already painted and decorated other than to pay someone to do it. At Dallas Slot Cars, the guys there that drag race do some amazing work. They often pay the body experts to do their bodies and the chassis experts to do their chassis. That would defeat my purposes as I like to do this myself and learn as I go. I try to save $, but sometimes have to pay more initially for tools and learned mistakes. I did find a couple of cool 1/24 NASCAR Snaptite kits on closeout last year for $5. They have nicely pre-colored bodies. There is also a newer gen. Camaro I got from Ollie's which has a nice sparkle blue plastic body from the factory. You add a few decals for some of the details and sponsors, but all the smelly paint work is done. I show both of these bodies in a video that I will publish soon. Look for other Revel Snaptites in your area.

Nice video. The last car I scratch built was over a 132 Womp over 30 years ago. I need to pick up a chassis kit like that and give it a shot after watching your videos. 🏁

Thank you for the props. I will eventually do a 1/32 chassis as well to race at my local track, and may even experiment with some of their drag racing at 1/24th. scale. Have a look at clearwater124 who was my final kick in the butt to start this scratch building process.

@@douglascook258 The dragster sounds fun. I have a 30 year old drag chassis I never assembled. I should look into getting that together and taking to my local track as well. Good luck!

@@HSF-Racing Thanks, the drag race guys really put some effort into their painting and decorating of the bodies here. They look amazing and use a huge variety of models to race. I'll have to give it a try, but probably prefer road racing since more time is spent on the track.
