Hi trui, I've tried setting this up the cloudbot, but whenever i test run!clip, it just repeats the API command back to me and nothing happens
You could try and see if it works on a different bot for you. The same website gives other bot options 😄

Is there a way to make longer clips ? my viewer use the '' !clip'' but the clips are often too short and we miss the begining of the funny moment, Thanks!
Sorry, no. This api only allows for 30 seconds. You will have to program a new api and I myself can't program, sadly.

I followed everything and even checked the variables and it did say cant clip now coz offline….problem is the streamer i was modding for was live xD. What can i do to make it work and its cloudbot and im doing it on mobile
If you set it up yourself you have probably linked it to your account instead of to the streamers account. You are not live - that's why it's saying you are offline.

when i tested offline i didnt get the "cant clip offline" response but it just responded with the API link instead?
That's not good, maybe the bot isn't a mod? Or you might have a space or linebreak somewhere in the link?
I have the same problem!
The streamlabs chat bot does not like that code. I think the brackets are off or something because it just returns the same code back and does not clip at all.
Make sure you use the right one as you have 2 versions: streamlabs chatbot and streamlabs cloudbot (website)

lil bit late, but, is this 30second, or 60 second clip? and is there a way to change it? i'd love for it to do the last 60 seconds, i am more than happy save the clip and edit it in my video editor later >
This is a 30 sec clip. You can't change that with this API. To do so you would have to program a new API sadly.
Just to ask you Trui is their a way to set up a bigger clip size or is it only limited to 30 secs ??
This API only allowes 30 seconds. Clips are max 60 seconds. So theoretically you could make an API that would clip 60 seconds. But I am not a programmer and have no clue how to do that.

Did you make the bot a moderator? And did you pick the right bot? As there is a difference between Streamlabs cloudbot and chatbot.
@@trui yeah i did, i made streamlabs a moderator, it works for every other command or link i post, just not that one. I'm using Cloudbot, if that makes a difference
Here is a Fix, for the cloudbout posting the api code..
In the streamlabs chatbot section copy the the link. Do not copy the $readapi( at the start of the link. You only need the actual link. and remove the ( ), as well

Hi - The API doesn't work. I copied and pasted it but it doesn't seem to work.
UA-cam was cutting it of so you have to copy both lines and then remove the line break (enter)

Its posting the API in chat when in offline mode, not a response message that I can't clip when offline, obviously SLOBs has changed, but I did everything the same, whats different?
Are you using the chatbot or the cloudbot?
@@trui I watched your second video on Streamlabs commands, I set it up the same way as the video in cloudbot, just pasting the API, and it just comes out weird instead of a clip link. I have it set to whispers, where it doesn't post the full API in my chat, and I can still receive a clip. But I have to copy and paste.

The link to the API doesn't work anymore, it comes up saying "There's nothing to see here."
It seems like UA-cam cut the link of and it wasn't complete anymore. I did add a link break so you can see the whole link, so you should be able to get to the page again
I have Cloudbot and the website doesnt show Cloudbot anymore
I think you mean chatbot? As cloudbot is the one on the website and chatbot is the one you download on your computer and run locally

hi do you know why I can't record in slobs?
You might have your recording settings wrong. I can't see that from here. This program runs on it's own though. So you don't need to combine it with Streamlabs OBS (You can though), but you can run it with OBS, Xsplit or other software as well.

Is there a way to name the clip with using the command?
Nope. The clip will be made by the streamer (like on their account), and the streamer can change the title in the creator dashboard
