Sometimes your team needs to hit rock bottom for the players/organization to make a turn around, this is the part of the journey as a Bruins fan that will make winning so sweet when eventually things come back together. It's nice to see the players staying motivated.
As good as Monty was, we are INCREDIBLY lucky to have Sacco! He played a big part in Monty's .715%, and his coaching style is a great balance between support and discipline.
At least I lived through a pretty cool era with players like Chara, Bergeron, Krejci, Rask, Marchand, Lucic, McQuaid, Thornton, Seidenberg, Boychuk. I don't know if we'll see that kind of warrior Bruins team again. I hope I'm wrong, of course.
you're not wrong. that was the team i grew up on, started watching in 2010. but ya can't expect teams like that in perpetuity! i still love this current edition of the Bruins, despite its flaws.
It's not that simple. Sweens has built competitive teams over the years. Monty is a great coach. I definitely disagreed with some of Sweeney's moves this year, but I also disagreed with some of the lines and call-ups by Monty this year. I personally think a big part of the blame goes to the players. I really do. EVERYONE, including the Bruins players all agree that they are underperforming on the ice, and yet, they are still in the playoffs hunt at around 500... Freddie, Coyle, Zacha, C-Mac, and others are WAY below last year's numbers. I feel terrible for Monty and his family, but it's business and unfortunately the coach takes the blame. This is mostly on the players and listening to them after the firing, they know it too. I still have confidence in Cam, Sweeney, Sacco and this roster. They'll be in the playoffs. You'll see.
Shit rolls downhill. As we all know it starts at the top and rolls all the way down. Sweeney the weenie should get let go. It was his deals that don’t work.
Potsy needs to learn how to keep his head up before he becomes an NHL starter. He's going to get paralyzed or severely injured. He needs to build muscle and bulk up. He was only 19 when he played his first game in Boston, don't forget. He is still very young. Most NHL rookies are 21-22 because they were playing college hockey for 3-4 years. Give it time.
As a former player, I can tell you that every NHL team is loaded with amazing hockey players. In my era, there were clearly better teams. Loaded to the gills. The media and fans ask ridiculous questions. They don’t know what they are talking about. Unless you have played. Really played at a high level, don’t open your mouths! An NHL game is won by the team that makes the least mistakes. It’s not about talent anymore.
Sorry but I was rooting for Ullmark all the way. I love my boys but Ullmark & Sway shouldn't've been split up...especially in the way it was done. It put all the negotiating power in Sway's hands. Not smart.
With what cap space? Everybody knew we had to give one of them away and we made the right choice keeping the younger. If we had signed Sway before letting Ully go, we would've gotten absolutely nothing in return. Korpi has exceeded expectations, and Kastelic's been a treat with the kind of energy and fight he brings every night he's on the ice. Both Ullmark and Swayman haven't looked great so far this season and are clocking in at .886 and .888 respectively, so it's kind of a wash.
Thank you for the content drop. Great production and appreciate the behind the scenes with this episode.

Doesn't always happen

whenever i see these, i'm always reminded of my belief in these guys

For me, add the Orr and Park/Bourque/ Taz O’Reilly teams. Pretty good time to be a 🐻 fan!
@@REP7288 I juuust missed out on Orr & Esposito but I loved the Taz era. Terry O'Reilly is the single player who got me watching hockey.
Same
Well said...well said.

Zacha asking if hes alright thats so nice of him😂
Marchand has coaching potential once retired.
I agree
Classy by Marchy to give the puck to the new coach
Sweeney caught himself there during his speech, he almost said “ it starts at the top “ but quickly remembered hes above Monty
At least we have the Celtics. Sox, Pats and Bruins have a long way to go.
Monty was fantastic I know he will do a great job in STL
He wasnt the problem in my opinion, i loved him as our coach. I wish him all the best, but i also hope we can do well with out new coach as well
@@Super2Morohis style just didn’t match the the roster
Monty is a great season coach...he's a horrendous playoff coach.
@@munkustrap2I don't know if this is categorically true. But seems that way the last 2 seasons...
“Nice I love when you lie to me”😂
We all know who should’ve been fired
You
@ That should be an easy enough move, cause I don’t work for the org. Sweeney does tho
You
Don Sweeney

Let the record show, Monty was NOT the problem. St. Louis is now a Cup favorite.
Let's Go!!!
We gotta lay off these guys They've got to film ads. Feed their families. Too busy for hockey.
Thanks for giving us Monty you big dummies.

that bench looks really empty without potsy

@ i know. just miss the kid. brought a lot to this team that they need. mainly youth and speed. that being said he needs to get confident in his game
Personally I’d like to see a full on rebuild after the next 2 seasons
Uhhhhh you mean like now????

100%
It did not give Swayman all the negotiation power. He was an RFA, and got paid market value. That contract will look great in a few years.

@@kenny8332 That contract will look good in a few years after we bring a decent goalie in?
Fire Neely and Sweeney.
You should hear what went on behind the scenes. The franchise might fold if the public knew the truth
What’s the truth? Get it out
That Sweeney wanted Swayman at 2C. No lies.
Worst Team
😂🤦🏻♂️
Sweeney and Neely Need to go !!
