Although this may be the last Judgement game, I'm glad that Yakuza went JRPG and this spin off maintained the combat. As goofy as RGG was getting, it could just never be allowed to get away with this the way Judgement does whilst at the same time, Judgement couldn't just be a JRPG.
@@rxge1 I only think so because of how the fights are set up narratively. RGG fights are always with some larger than life member of the Omi, Tojo, Jingweon, etc. but Judgement bosses literally be normal ass dudes. Also, pretty sure they have stated they intend to go the JRPG route.
@@CIELMERLIONN i hope they make another one but if they do enemies should mostly match your level all the way through because in y7 it was eazy until chapter 12 then it was too hard then it went back to being too eazy until kiryu than it was too hard then it was eazy but spongy for the rest of the game.
This might be not only the best combat in Dragon Engine, but the entire series as a whole. I really wish the combat in Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2 were as good as this.
This r8 here is some of the coolest combat I've ever seen in any game. I'm a huge yakuza fan and I've played every game available in the west except LJ but this has got me pretty damn excited. The fact that what has been shown here isn't even the full extent of this game's combat( tiger drop, flux fissure, leapfrog, wall attacks, the boxer style, dlc extracts etc and even kaito with his 2 styles) is just downright amazing
@@guesty924 and it looks fairly similar to judgement, this is coming from someone whos on yakuza 5 currently and hasn't played judgement so take what i say with a grain of salt

K2 really up the ante by having a charge move that could you let stun enemies and get an easy combo out of them. Just my take on this whole thing.
Looks easy but honestly, when you can style so hard, the fun probably comes from trying to combo rather than face difficult enemies. But I'll never know unless it comes to PC );

I can't help but keep thinking of sleeping dogs. It has the best modern kungfu combat ever and no one even tries to copy that mechanics. I like Yakuza 6 but that combat is too arcady
Bro this is a different type of game, it's a beat em up. Also the boss could be pretty hard if you don't bring any healing and playing on the hardest difficulty. This one is like a mini boss
If they removed all those childish bright star effects and replaced it with realistic gore, blood, breaking bones and slightly emerging through the body, including incredibly painful screaming sounds, realistic pain facial expressions and ground/wall slam effects..etc I would buy it. For now though, it just feels like a Tekken game in an open world, 3D, RPG game. I cannot stand fight games without actual blood, gore and violence. They should learn from Sleeping Dogs. However I think this game will still appeal massively to the Japanese.. They like these kinds of Yakuza games.
I like how his fighting styles are different now n they brought back the tekken juggles happy days
finally the dragon engine is perfected. its feels smooth and it honestly looks fantastic
YOU CAN THROW PROJECTILES BACK AT THEM?!
Yea it's one of the first skills you can get for Crane in this
Once you get the Crane style upgrade, yes. There's even an ability that makes it automatic as long as you're in EX Burst.

Your gameplay is so fun to watch
When does the dlc boxing combat style come out?
During EX boost, Yagami gets unique enemy throw animations, although crane's kinda sucks
Crane's hidden technique was so good. You got enhanced atk speed, then combine that with tiger's attack
@@Cowpuccino I’m saying that when yagami grabs and throws an enemy, it’s a different animation in ex-boost then out of it
