I had a small stroke watching this video. A for effort!
Oh that is funny 😄
😩😮💨
🤣😂
Me too 😟🤣
LoL
No drill motor attachment?
I would do absolutely anything other than doing it this way LOL
Whoever invented that should be slapped
I have been laughing for the past 10 minutes! This is ridiculous.
LMFAO
LMMFAO
@@ricardovelez3796 i think you’re supposed to use a drill
@@markchavez7707 say that to them
Wow! That’s a what not to buy video!
A truck seems like a great idea if you have a trailer. It must take forever to get to a camp spot 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is Awesome !!!! when my teenage son misbehaves, guess what, I will get him to move this trailer up and down the driveway using this device
LOL, It is like a mid evil torture device.
Dad, I dont want to camp anymore! 😫😂
Funny I've heard this before.
Thank you for doing this video. I know what not to buy, and I was just looking at one of these same exact model and I’m really glad I did not get it.
No thanks, but I appreciate the effort. This is exactly what I don't want to do.
Specially if you pay over $700 lol!
There is no way I would buy this product that's like torture. All I can say is wow
I own one and it works great there is a drill Adapter that makes it way easy and if you put it on the 2nd one down it make it go very fast
It’s only a lot of work (and dangerous) on an incline. On flat ground it works wonderfully.
Specially if you pay over $700 Lol!
@@midwesta-framer649 You make a good point .Thanks
There's a power drill attachment you can get. Watching this, I think it might be a worthy purchase.
true but seller says not to use drill on an incline
Well I got my workout for the day... Just watching these guys! Haha!
A year later and he's finally worked up the nerve to put it back in his driveway...lol How do you close the garage door with the trailer tongue in the way?
This is brilliant.
Signed,
Absolutely Nobody
He's got 2 kids that's why he bought it
hahaha
I had this for one day, sold it and bought a nice electric dolly...life is sweet.
which electric dolly did you get?
The product might not be as efficient but the TEAM work is on point
I would just back it in the driveway with my truck. So the truck is in the road for a couple minutes. You're backing that thing up in the road anyways then turning it into the driveway. It's blocking the road for a longer time than if you used a truck.my road in front of my house is narrower than yours my trailer is 33' from tongue to back bumper. With a full size ram 1500 long bed and. I never end up in my cross street neighbors property.
That looked like a pain in the ass lol
I see they are wearing jackets. I wouldn't want to be doing all that cranking in hot Florida!
Talk about breaking your back, no thanks! Thanks for video, I know not to buy this for sure.
They should call this the "cardio 2000"!
Thank you for this video. Now I know I definitely will save up to get the motorized valet. My arms got a cramp just watching your video.
I think I'll opt for the motorized style if I get one, man I am wore out just watching. But, very cool indeed! Atleast this one is immune to an EMP attack.
I use a truck to move my trailer. How long does it take to go 1000 miles.
Nice video. Glad I watched. Rethinking buying one now
I was ready to get one until I saw this video. Thanks for saving me the money:)
So ur telling me u have to constantly crank this thing, While bending down
Are there regulation that don’t allow you to back it in the driveway? I guess only benefit is no one can steal it. How long does it really take to get in in the driveway?
Why can you not just back it up with your truck lmao?
I'd almost rather push the damn thing lol. There needs to be a motor put on that. Then it would be perfect
That thing is screaming for a cordless drill to crank it over.
i rather get my bobcat n move it ,, fawwwccjk the labor work
Great job, it worked. I used the cheap HF 10,000lb winch for my boat, it worked out perfect since I don't have help like you do. Suggestion, tie chock blocks behind wheels so it drags it along for that "just in case" moment.
Great idea! Do you have a video showing how?
Show us a video of how to tie chock blocks behind wheels please - I'll wait...
@robbob4872 hang them from the body behind the wheels. They will hang down and drag behind tire only when using dolly and when you travel you can remove them and stow them in the trailer.
What a great punishment for my oldest when he doesn’t do his school work.
If I owned a trailer valet I would never use the trailer and I would throw in the trailer the day I sell the house trailer valet is free with purchase.
Fantastic editing. Couldn't even see the sun go up and down in the 3 days of filming it took to move that trailer 20 feet.
Next time my wife calls me stupid I’m going to make her watch this!
To funny!
🤣
You've got to learn how to back a trailer. So much effort here
You do it this way every time? Exactly like this?
Insane. Lol. I Quit! the young man says!
Imagine having to wait on the street
It is like a mid evil torture device.
I hope this is a joke!
No effing way. That is ridiculous.
What a pain in the ass without a motor. Why is backing in with pickup not more efficient? Sit in middle of street, no thank you!
Plain goofy in this application.
Some people don't back them in so they are harder to steal. Ball locks are somewhat ok but still easy to grab with front facing out. This thing wouldn't be bad if it was motorized.
I broke out a sweat watching this. Hope you have an electric one now haha.
I thought it came with a socket so you can use a power drill?
He commented in the video about that. He burned up an 18v drill using that feature so now hand cranks.
I think this has a option to put the special socket to a good cordless drill and let the drill do the work, for God sakes everyone has a cordless drill let the drill do the work that's what hand drills are for make your life easier, but in a pinch this could be used. Get the hand drill, Milwaukee fuel or Makita 6 amp hour power batteries would be the ticket 😉
Stop paying for your expensive gym membership. Try this at home!
Thank you. You do this you sleep well at night. Sleeping is very important for your body.
jesus, was looking into one of these, i'm happy for this video... time to find something else
I think it's perfectly ok to move that trailer around at a snail's pace. Why the rush??
I'm speechless
I have the same Trailer Valet XL. I got it very inexpensively second-hand. I can understand people's negative comments about it. Every time I use it I feel like I've been on a treadmill for an hour (and that's with a drill) but in some circumstances (extremely narrow driveway and street) it is actually very helpful in getting a trailer where you want it to go. I envy the guys who grew up towing trailers on the family farm who can back a 5th-wheeler through an obstacle course blindfolded, but if you are just someone who tows a couple times a year, a trailer dolly can really help you make your camping possible.
Thanks for the comment. It's definitely not for everyone but it does work and it makes my situation possible so I put up with the added work-out!
Yup have to agree it works for some of us. It was worth the money. Let the others laugh…. It’s not for everyone. The drill attachment makes it doable and the best way for us to move the two trailers we have.
That’s why I only use the drill. It’s hard enough wrestling it even with the drill, but it works. My drill is no worse for wear so far and I’m moving a 6200 lbs RV trailer. Yea not for everyone, but it works for those who need it. I’ll never use the crank if I can help it. 😜
@Kw-xt3xk If you can back a 53-foot trailer through New York City, then this product would indeed not be useful to you.
I have never found a quality motorized trailer dolly for that sort of price. I keep looking for one second hand as I would like to have one.
@Kw-xt3xk
Yeah, I feel for you, buddy. This video hurt me watching it.
All I can say is how much I appreciate my Parkit 360 Force 10k. I got exhausted watching you. Best of luck.
Oh my goodness, better call the back doctor after that.
Wow! You need a team of back-ups in really good shape to move a trailer...this is not for me!!!
When you’re at home you can use a corded drill don’t waste you time with a battery powered
I was thinking the same thing. An extension cord with a corded drill would probably work just fine. My Trailer Valet model didn't come with a drill adapter and one costs about $70 Cdn. This unit works well for me as I only have to move my 2500 lb trailer a small distance and it is all on pavement. I am unable to back it in with my truck because the alleyway is too narrow to negotiate my truck and trailer.
You have creatively overcome all of the obstacles but it seems extremely complicated. Seems like you could simply attach a tongue jack wheel to the trailer and then simply push the trailer into position, then mount a cheap harbor freight winch to the tongue and create a tie down in the garage to winch from.
I have an RV that weighs 7500lbs and I need to get it into a driveway through an ally! Can you tell me exactly what you are saying to buy that can replace this? I looked at a Winch that cost about $100 that pulls upto 12000lbs. But what is a Tongue jack wheel and where can I find those?
@@2videosilike purpleline trailer mover. Not cheap but definitely worth it. You would need the dual axle version
Mr wayyyy too much work!
I am surprised your sons don't complain and agree to help. Looks miserable. It looks like a double lane street and double lane driveway. The trailer isn't too long. How could it be harder to back it in?
Screw that
Disclaimer: must be seasoned Triathlete to operate.
I’m so confused as to why you would do this. It’s a straight shot just back it in. A dolly is for moving into tight spots. Practice backing your camper and stop wasting time and effort.
Stop talking common sense you cad.
Seriously, why not just back it in?
Work smarter, not harder. Only requires one person vs. involving the whole family.
Yeah. Just back it in, and invite a thief to just pull it out.
@@havemercy What?? They make locks for that exact reason.
@@jeremy08410 You are correct. Not trying to be argumentative, but locks and trailer placement are only deterrents and won't stop a determined thief (check out the UA-cam video from the Lock Picking Lawyer xVtHiX12TVw). Maybe he wants the back side facing his neighbors? Have a good day ))
Rent a parking spot to park it?
Good editing skills it took a week and a half to film this scene and cut🎬
Toooo much work
Get your money back
😂😂😂
This is brilliant just brilliant says nobody!
Wow… that’s a lot of work for pulling it in. I would rather use my truck for backing it in. Thanks for sharing!
If you added the Benny Hill music, this would be comedy gold.
And the quad will fit in the garage and you can remove that floor mounted winch. On boring days you can ride the quad around the neighborhood. You get two for one.
That's good exercise
Kid, never straddle a strap with that kind of tension on it. Also, I don't see why not back it in...
That thing looks like a nightmare. I really appreciate the demonstration because I was about to buy one. I feel sorry for the kid.
The workout was more for the kid you killed him lol
Don’t you have the power drill attachment? Makes it much easier to operate. Mine works like a champ without cranking. Love it.
Manufacturer recommends using drill only on level ground. Helps to have tag team of young strong crankers.
There is no way I'm go lung to spend two days moving my trailer like that. Who would buy this? Waist of time and money .
Jeez guys. Bolt a small winch on the floor. $150 for a 110v 1500lb winch from hazard fart will do the job. You can even double up and put a snatch block.
Or you can put a 2500lb dc winch which will require a car battery.
LOL! that looks painful! I think I would rather take the times to learn how to back up the trailer!
I was concerned about the unit sliding out from under the hitch since it's not braced. The tongue on my trailer is too short for the 5X version. There is no way I can do this. Thanks for the video!
Not for me, thanks. way too much work with bending your back.
Wow, this is ridiculously impractical. You need one of those POWERED dolly’s, like a parkit360. This crank shaft model is a joke.
My eyes are sore just watching this painful movement 😂
Now that you've had it for a while, how do you like it?
I like you homade brace. Is there a vid of this?
Have a great weekend everyone!
It was funny when he said he hoped it was helpful, lol. Yup, it was very helpful indeed… he shoulda said, don’t try this at home.
Man that's alot of work...why didn't you just back it in...on an angle?
Line it up putting the truck in the the driveway, leave yourself just enough room to disconnect and pull truck out, finish with your contraptions. Probably only take you about 15 minutes instead of an hour
And the award for the most money wasted on a terrible product goes to.......$750 bucks for torture. No thanks.
Nice video, but straddling that strap lol. It breaks and the young fella will never have to worry about birth control.
Nice video. Can I get some information about the winch you got mounted in the garage. Like where did you get it?
Why not just back it in? No way would I waste so much time and energy on that. Buy a remote back up camera and back it in.
This is called the 1 hour work out this is all the exercise you would ever need to do in one day and you would be healthy!
Can't figure out why you didn't just back it in. Seems like a lot of unnecessary hard work. 🤔
painful to watch effort even on fast playback. i need one of these but intend to use it with a drill for about 3-4 ft of movement of my tandem axle boat trailer in my garage. thanks for sharing
I guess no HOA? I hope his neighbors like to look at campers.
OMG! What a nightmare Such a waste of effort and energy to park a trailer. Plenty of room to just back it in and securely lock it up. I’m amazed someone would go to such lengths to do something so simple. Facing a trailer that way only hinders a honest thief anyway.
Make some kind of fitting to hook an impact driver up. My arms are killing me watching this
We can start this guy's in memoriam now because that had to have given a heart attack by now.
But in all reality I would tear down the garage and rebuild it a little farther back before doing any of this BS.
I'm exhausted just watching you cranking this thing. SKIP
3 days and he is still out there
Use a hand drill. Makes this a little more user friendly.
Anyone know what device that is in his garage he’s using to help pull it?
