@@mariacarollos29 Yes, they demand high maintenance and daily grooming. They may have health issues because of their extreme brachycephalic condition. They are independent (which is an euphemism for stubborn). It's hard to train them. But there is also the Pekingese with spaniel-type coat. Originally, Pekingeses brought from China were of this spaniel-type.
We had a couple of them in my childhood. As an adult I gravitate towards Pugs , and the fact that I never seen "good" pekes for a long time. Is yours similar to the ones here?

Roody Chan I had 1 years ago. His name was also Simon and he was mean as hell. Lol. He would attack people and other dogs. Even bullied a German Shepherd and Rottweiler. He was 15lbs and yellow.
