Dude, I've been a professional image editor supporting Corel software for over 3 decades, I used VideoStudio only as a screen capture for tech support. Having semi-retired I've decided to explore making a few family video of special events and what not. I looked at all the documentation that Corel has and just as it is for Draw, Photo-PAINT, PaintShop Pro and AfterShot Pro it's useless. Watched your video and I'm up and running, your're book marked, I'm a subscriber and will promote your channel to everyone I come into contact using this application. Thanks!

Your demonstrations are terrific and I will be working through them over the next while. Thank you!!

Im trying to speed up the whole completed video, and it looks like the only way is to do each clip one at a time or save it as a video and then use it to speed it up all at once. However when i tried just the first clip, it puts in a 'clunk clunk clunk' sound as it plays, thats not appropriate for and video. When its saved as a vid does that sound vanish? How can i speed this up? I know ive done it in other much older software and never heard that. Well not sure if you will get this, but please? if you do? HELP! signed: ripping my hair out

@@gripps2211 Yes, I did, because I had done that first, it didn't work. Come here and watched your video, so I checked and did it on Project Settings, and Then AGAIN on First clip (and this was an hour + Long tutorial video!) (I also tried it with and without Nvidia acceleration). Then, I went into the preferences, I think that was on your video, but it may have been an old Corel video, and set those the way it was described. Then went back and turned off the tick box, and just put it on MPEG-4 and left the settings the same as it was before (ie the bit rate settings didn't change from the Project/First Clip ones) and it finally worked correctly. I think it was setting the preferences that finally did it, and in the future that using the Project/First Clip tick box will work. Thank you for checking on me. You do great videos. It was your other video that helped me get my titles in there.
And if you have time...do you have a video already that tells how to get "bullet points" onto a video besides using a scrolling title? I was wanting one to be on the screen, then the next at the appropriate talking point, then the next added to the first, and so on, but couldn't figure that out. So, I just did a scrolling up title thingy with my points and slowed it, so that I had time to talk about each one before it scrolled totally off. I also just used another title thingy to have info scroll from the side and pause for a moment and then scroll off for another part of the video where I wanted to have a hotkey shortcut show up, but it didn't feel like those were best practices. Please point me to it if you do (as I will have more tutorial videos), or please make one if you don't!

On the camera I have set it to 720MP4 and Steamlab is being used on what it should which is high-Quality medium file size MP4, encoder hardware (Venc), Base Resolution 1536x864 output 1280x720.
If this needs to be set to something else please let me know what to set the camera up on as well as Steamlab. Many thanks David.

2 things i do not like about videostudio. 1 - when you make a new or open an existing video the library pane in the upper right is full of video clips that have nothing to do with the video I want to work on. I want it to be an empty screen (new project) or only showing clips actually in the existing project. Even a new project which should have an empty screen is full of clips.
2 - there is no way to close a project.. u can save it but cannot close it and get back to a blank screen. a new or existing project has to be opened or shut down the program completely.

honestly the easiest, create a clip and save, goto tinyurl.com/2p9nu65b a free and easy tool. Or create clip, create folder copy paste clip as many as needed for 3 hours, then ctrl a the folder drag all to timeline.
