- Mellom Bakkar og Berg (Amongst Hills and Cliffs) shows the diversity of the vast Norwegian landscape and it's contrast to the small amount of people that inhabit it.
Intended for one my second year projects at Swansea Metropolitan University. Shot over the course of three weeks in April, processed into HDR images and edited over the next 4 weeks. This turned out to be the most time consuming project I have worked on so far, but it was worth it. A big thank you goes out to Njål Sparbo as well for letting me use his music, the film wouldn't have been the same without it.

a song that could go anywhere it wanted. A strange and perhaps symptomatic fact: the last verse is never presented in the norwegian setting (politics). "with rich fucks I have never been comfortable, with equals I find myself best served."
Not really. It refers to the rest of the verse, where he says that others can flaunt with wealth and power, but that's not like us - and we'd rather prefer what we have, and keep it to ourself. rather than trying to expand it and get more. Which I feel is true.
Meaning, it's not a promotion of Janteloven.

Its a bit of a stab to the great European powers at the time the song was written. Norway being generally not very concerned with achieving power and wealth but rather equality. Very typical of romanticism.
It would just be ironic today given that Norwegians are one of the wealthiest people on earth.
