  • The Rhondda - Ton -Pentre and Treorchy are places my family are from and I lived from age 15 to 25. Lots of good memories but the place is a bit boring unless your into sports and I am not into nearly any sports. They used to have cinemas now they seem to all be shut too - everyone has shut down apart from SPAR shops and Chip shops curry houses and Kebab places. The views are staggering and the people are friendly but everyone has let live my entire life in the valleys type outlooks on life and I found it a bit caustrophobic plus nearly everyone I knew used to be a little or a lot homophobic so I kept myself to myself and stewed. Things are a lot better on that front now but things were quite crappy way back when....

Superb upload. Wales is such a beautiful country - so much lovely scenery to visit and enjoy. I hope when this frightening crisis is over more people come to wales and enjoy our wonderful landscapes.

Awesome video, I love Wales it's such a beautiful place. I'm from Manchester originally but grew up in Holyhead, North Wales because my parents moved there when I was about 4/5 and they still live there and I now live in Crewe but hoping to move back to Manchester in next few years. But living in Wales has left me with some beautiful memories and has some beautiful places although Holyhead is a bit dire apart from a couple of great beaches, but the rest of Anglesey, Gwynedd and Wales is absolutely fantastic. I have great memories visiting loads of places and used to especially love climbing up Snowdonia. I've done the trip from north through to South Wales, hell of a journey but a brilliant one. Tyd darch yn siarad cymraeg Matt?, I've forgotten quite a lot of it now as I've not lived in Wales for 25 years, but even though I was saesneg I could speak it and understand it quite well, especially with being a nurse as some patients from the sticks and joskins couldn't speak any English at all . X

Beautiful landscapes, but like you said Matt down in the towns people are living on top of each other. I’ve done a lot of forestry work in those valleys stunning on top of the mountains not so good at the bottom. You can thank old Maggie for the way it is now.
