I've always wanted to ride my Vespa back to Portland since moving to Astoria, but never thought my 150 Primavera would be fast enough/safe to ride on the hwy. I can't believe I never saw this before! :D
Thank you for your time to edit and post all these videos. I've watched many. It's like watching a friend's videos. I recently watched your multiple videos of Mexico along with Scooterwest videos, watching both points of view was great. Anyhoo, again, thanks.
Nice scenery. I bought a Piaggio BV400 at the end of 2022, didn't have much time to ride what with the rainy season coming on.. I am looking forward to stretching it's legs this summer. I've taken some longer rides on my GTS 300 but I think the Piaggio will be a better Freeway commuter. Hoping to take a ride down the coast to Santa Barbara again.
Rad video guys! I've actually never been to Astoria, just by chance and so thanks. It could definitely use some background music and if you want, I could do it for you, or just send the tracks.....
Thanks for watching! The screen does enough to cut down on wind fatigue while riding but larger versions may be better for folks who really want to have less wind on them.
I live in AZ, the desert hell hole of the country. I have relatives in the Portland area (Beaverton, Tigard, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, they move often) that I go visit once or twice a year for a couple weeks. I have driven up to Astoria at least 20 times, and crossed that huge bridge over river into Washington. I always wished I could do it on a scooter or motorcycle. I think Astoria is the most beautiful place in Oregon. Western Oregon is a beautiful place, too bad their politics are so messed up. I could never live there.
just want to ask some questions is that primavera 125/150 or 300cc GTS version... any sign of overheat on your scooter ? seems like you have a really long trip
A RAM mount. The specific one I’m using is a GPS holder that’s spring loaded. There’s a regular size and an XL for larger phones. I love it. It’s easily operated one handed and the phone stays put!
Definitely used the wrong screenshot of the map. We did not take Highway 26 but you could do that if you don’t want to go Highway 30 to Scappoose and then turn left on the Scappoose-Vernonia Highway.

You can definitely do it and if you take that backroads route that goes by Vernonia it’s absolutely gorgeous. Have fun out there!
Awesome ride and video! Stay safe!
Thanks, you too!
Excellent video. Hey, thanks for changing my GTS 300 rear tire today. I’m back on the road. Great service and it’s good to have you in Portland.
Thanks, David! Nice to meet you today. Been a fan of your videos for awhile.

You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
Great ride post. Thanks for sharing 👍
You’re welcome! That ride was super fun and when it’s too cold out to replicate it I like to revisit ride videos and dream. Thanks for watching!
Another great video
the inspiration is there for all of us
thanks for sharing
Thanks, Greg! Watching it makes us want to go ride too but alas it's a work day.
I love that you guys have all your gear on 👍🏾 awesome to see !!
Thanks for watching!
Great trip and video!! Greetings from Argentina! I have a new Vespa VXL 150 and I´m so happy with it.
Thanks for watching! That scooter is a great one! Enjoy your upcoming rides down there!
That's really great, I wish I could do this. Thanks for sharing your trip.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for that road trip!!😊
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
Can't wait to get my endorsement. That looks so fun. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching! And yeah the endorsement will really open up the world of riding.
Great scenery and very nice video
It was a great ride and we can’t wait to do it again. Thanks for watching.
@@VespaPortland i see you enjoyed your 5 day ride in Mexico 🇲🇽
Very much!
Another great and inspiring video. REALLY want to see a camping video tho :) Just finished your 5 day Mexico videos. Awesome.
I’m the worst at camping. I want a comfortable bed in a hotel. Haha!
Such good roads, I'm envy.
Definitely lucky to live up here. Thanks for watching.
Love the run out to Vernonia, thanks for the reminder that I need to venture out further =)
Hit the bat signal if you do. Wouldn’t mind a long cruise some weekend.
Late to the party (as usual), but I'm totally down for a ride to the coast with all y'all.

Noted! Risking a copyright claim is a pain so we mostly leave them raw but if you're down we're down.
Looks like an awesome day trip! 😎
It was! And it has been too long since we did one. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I just picked up my GTS 300 Super Tech HPE. How is that short windscreen?

Thanks for watching. That ride is very fun. Maybe we’ll come down for Amerivespa 2023 in Flagstaff.
Looks like those helmets are custom painted! Where did you get them done?
They’re all stock helmets from the time. AGV does a lot of different designs. Thanks for watching.
just want to ask some questions
is that primavera 125/150 or 300cc GTS version...
any sign of overheat on your scooter ? seems like you have a really long trip
We rode both Primavera/Sprints and GTS scooters. No overheating. No problems at all. They worked flawlessly.
Great Vidéo! , could you please make a video on how to put your smartphone on your vespa ?
We have a video for that. Look for our video on the RAM mount.
Thanks for watching!
What phone mount do you use?

@@VespaPortland I have the xs max now which is a pretty large phone
You’d probably want the XL, then! If you want to get one from us, contact Matt at parts@vespaportland.com
Bonjour au Vespistes de Portland ! J'ai commandé une GTS 300 75TH pour partir en balade sur les routes de France ! Bonne balade aux USA !

When Astoria is in Phase Two, I highly recommend the Blue Scorcher Cafe and the brewery next to it.
Thanks for the tip! Can’t wait to ride out there again.
