It’s so deserved as well. He had a rough stretch this year, but that’s to be expected going into a brand new car that’s notoriously tricky to drive. Max said it best, Checo is a legend! Hoping those two can bring home both next year

I don’t necessarily think his limit is any higher than any other driver, it’s just he’s comfortable being on the limit much more than other drivers and he can do it very consistently. He’s Alonso recarnated

@@jbgill007 It's the remark of someone in the team. It's not like they made a giant poster of it and carry it around on a RB roadshow. I didn't even notice it until I saw it mentioned in the comments.
What's disrespect and unsportmanslike is the behaviour of Toto and Lewis boycotting the FIA Prize Giving Ceremony. I get it that you're devestated after losing the finale, that's totally normal. And I even get it that you want to protest. But taking so long before realizing that would potentially damage the brand's reputation and give up on the protest days after the lost finale and then refuse to go to the ceremony...I mean, that's just childish behaviour. There's absolutely no reason to be that angry. If you're a true sportsman, you want to win a championship RACING, not following a pace car. So Masi used his power as race director and applied the rules to his discretion (as is stated in the rules) so the race could end in a way a championship should end: racing. And yeah...that's not what Mercedes anticipated on. They didn't pit, while in hindsight they maybe should have. If it was reversed, Mercedes wouldn't have objected I guess.
Obviously, I'm a bit biased because I'm Dutch and follow F1 before even Max' dad was racing F1. But on the other hand...we watched the race and for the most part of the race we already lost faith in the title. The safety car gave us a little hope, and as crazy races go, it turned around. That's the way some title deciding races go. Sport is cruel in that way. But I expected a bit more from Mercedes and Lewis. However, Lewis congratulated Max and Lewis' dad congratulated Jos and Max, so there's respect. But I don't understand the snub at the FIA. Read the rule book and look at the race. Be a good sport, swallow your pride and get on with your live.

The Honda engine is just unbelievable...the letter they sent out at the beginning of the year stating something to the effect of "they would all be proud of what they have accomplished as Honda engineers" will always stick with me. To create a unit that powerful and robust to get through the longest season in F1 history on only 3 units disregarding the crash... and win the Driver's...legendary. Arigato Honda.
I know right? Nobody seems to remember that Redbull always struggled with DNF's due to the engine blowing up etc. Honda did an amazing job in both teams (RB & AT)!

Redemption for Honda after so much backlash of the mclaren era . First the confidense that it was the mclaren car it self that was not performing as it should have, than the races first succeses of honda with Redbull. and now champion.

The part checo vs hamilton is the best part for me, esp the part where hamilton is already about to overtake checo after a long struggle and then you see a blurred vision of the car behind, and its the same color as checo's, you already knew its max and checo successfully closed that gap! Best driving of the season
Yeah man, loved the way you narrate it. That moment and also the scene just before the safety car goes out in the final lap, Max and Lewis nose to nose for the restart like two angry wild dogs.... goose bumps... stuff from the good movies.
I was diagnosed with terminal stage four lung cancer last year in October and the doctors gave me between three months to one year of life expectancy, actually never expected to see Honda, Red Bull and Max Verstappen win a champion in my life time, but turns out that life is full of surprises, first i pass the barrier of one year of life expectancy and I'm still here, I'm not gonna say I'm perfectly fine, but at least I'm alive and in a stable condition now, having a basic normal life with some side effect because of the drugs i'm taking, but i'm ok, at least for now, and you guys gave me the opportunity to see not just a incredible season but, you gave me my dreams back, you gave me a chance to see Honda and Max wins a championship which was something I never expected to see again in my short life time!.
As a Brazilian and Japanese descendants, my love for Honda comes from my very first car which was the civic 94 coup, and that was one of the best cars I ever have in my entire life, I bought the car because of the titles Senna and Honda conquer on his glory days and since then I was a huge fan of Honda and after his passing I became a huge fan of Red Bull because it reminds me so much of the time when Senna was driving for McLaren and Honda and the red bull team always has the same passion that McLaren ,Honda and Senna have before so when you guys wins the title this year it was like seeing those glory days again.
You guys probably thinking that you give fans a good show this year and you guys have a nice season, but for me was way more than that it was everything ! because I don't know how much time I have left and how much I will be around here but at least you guys gave me the best present I could ever asked on Christmas since I don't have anything else in my life now.
Yes I'm going to pass my Christmas and my New Year's Eve alone but at least now I have my favorite team with my favorite car maker and my favorite driver as a champions of the World !!!.
Thank you Red Bull, thank you Honda and thank you Max Verstappen for giving me this absolutely amazing present on this year's Christmas. You guys deserve all the happiness in the world and I really want that this title will be the first of many others and if it's possible one day I want to see Honda back to Red Bull racing stronger as it was when racing in this entire season thank you again you all deserve it really we all deserve it.

3:30 this. The real reason Max and RB was doing so well this year is because Honda had an insane durability. Red Bull had always struggled with reliability, and this year Honda came with a parting gift of an absolutely superb engine
Mercedes also jas a great engine, i feel Max managed to get all potential out of this engine
@@nic7nic Mercedes has a powerful engine that derates fast. Honda has a powerful and super long-lasting engine that doesn't derate as much. That did make a difference in many races.

As I understand, the dutch have never had an F1 world champion, and Max is absolutely adored by them. On that day in Abu Dhabi, everything changed for them, forever. A young racer, a new racer, an underdog racer, a pure racer, a first. A first for his generation, a first for his country, a first for Honda in decades.
Max’s driving has been amazing this year and with it, he clinched the world title. For his team, for his people, for himself and everyone who doubted him.

@@danhxnter Maybe for you, but for me it was Max and the breath of fresh air he brings to the sport. Lewis may say his personal idol is senna, but if he looks with more than just his eyes he would see that the driver who is closest to senna in spirit, driving style and character is the young man who just defeated him this year.
It's been so long since Horner has seen a championship come to Red Bull you can just tell how much this means to him and to the team. Max and Sergio were great this year and all members of the Red Bull team should be proud of the work they did to challenge what was considered an unstoppable Mercedes this year. Congrats guys you earned it!

This team is absolute gold! Not only to have Max who has improved and grown so much and truly showed everybody that he is a World Champion, but also such a kind and funny guy towards everyone. And then also to have Checo right up there as well performing epic at every race. Checo has been there for Max and the team the whole season and definitely also proved that he truly belongs in a top team! And how Max and Checo are working together so smoothly and perfect as teammates, they care and respect each other, and it shows both on and off track and how amazing they drive together. But also just to have Christian supporting both drivers and the whole Red Bull team on track and back home at the factory is bringing tears to my eyes. This is a masterclass team yet it still feels like on big and happy family. I am so proud of the team and I can't wait to see what else the future will bring !!!
I cried watching this. The impact Formula 1 has on the world and the connection we as fans have to our favorite team and drivers has to be one of the strongest in all sports. It changed my life when I watched my first F1 race, the 2002 Monaco GP on tv here in America. I was addicted, couldn't stop gaining knowledge of F1 and it's history. When Max came on the scene at the 2014 Japanese GP, I knew he would be the future of F1. Bedankt Max!
From zero to hero.. This is exactly what Honda represents as a philosophy.. And gave a championship to Max with the most magical and nice way.. Honda deserved at least one championship before its retirement!!

Last year Max and the team were ready to win but the engine was not. Honda worked hard last winter and came up with this masterful piece of engineering. @The Love Bug Nah, that was not giving Lewis penalties. Everything Max was penalized for was not given to Lewis just to make it exciting (pushing Perez in pitlane, ignoring yellow flags, leaving track etc). He should've had his 3rd reprimand a long time ago but they didn't so it could be exciting. You can't ignore that and only talk about the last race where Mercedes wasn't helped for once.

I think France was the most important for me as a redbull fan, when you won there I instantly had hope and thought they could really pull it off. Glad max won it, shame no constructors all due to bad luck, but next year
I remember what Christian said to Max after that race "If we can beat them here, we can beat them anywhere." And they did.
They made that race finally enjoyable
I cried so much because my dad loved F1 and Max! But sadly he passed in September of this year... MAX you made our year and thank YOU RED BULL HONDA!

2021 was a great season. Its good to see Red Bull Honda car beating the mercedes. Max did a brilliant job driving the car. Hope next year’s car and Honda engine can still be at the front.
Being an Alonso fan, it was hard to get behind Red Bull during the Vettel years. But what they've done in recent years with Honda is nothing short of exceptional. Such a top tier team! Kudos to RB and and their team! 👏👏👏

No one in the paddock is more happier than Alonso that Max has won the championship. He is happy that someone as talented as Max has joined the Champions club.

Checo got pretty fast up to speed with a car that proved to be kinda difficult to master and had the defence of the season for me at the same level as Alonso in Hungary, even better considering the importance of that exact moment!

I knew Max would achieve this since I watched his first test in F1 in 2014(if i'm not mistaken). The feel he had of the car's limits at 16 made me fall in love with his style! He's been my favourite ever since!

BEST Team, engineers, pit lane crew, drivers. Horner the best calm team principle who never shows his anger on camera and always keeps his cool mojo during tough races. Such a great team boss.
Red Bull feels like a family. I sense a lot of love and respect between Max, Horner and the whole crew Unique and very special to see. I believe this is a part of their succes together.
And they sit on the pit wall like a proper racing team ;)

That Honda engine is a work of Art. I hope that when FIA says 3 engines for 2022 it IS 3 engines - and after 3 engines is MUST be always starting at the back of the grid.

Max and RedBull pulled F1 to another level. It was never this popular before, they really bring F1 to a lot of livingrooms. Thank you to show the world how excitement this sport can be. Here you can clearly see that nobody benefits from a monopoly. Atleast now the championship wasnt decided after 4 races. I really hope you can bring F1 a lot more of this!!!!

Massive thank you to Honda! Love that theyre still somewhat incorporating honda engine in future seasons and building their own engine with assistance from honda team. RB is not just an energy drink company.
I saw first race when I was 11. Senna vs Mansell in Monaco. It was something sensational back then as a kid. Since then I saw most races in all kind of Motorsport. The only kind of sport I cared about.
I was fan of Verstappen from the first day he came in F1. And Honda's fan of course. In F1 , SuperGt, WTCC and everywhere they compete. I even own only Honda cars . This year the stars were aligned for me after 30 years. Best Engine. Best team and best driver fighting for the big goal. It was very tense for me even if I was just a fan. After all the special moments and all that rivals did the last race was unbelievably hard to watch. But in the end the Justice was made . The right found its way . I am glad everything was fine in the end. Maybe the last sweet moment for me as an F1 fan. Congratulations RedBull, Horner and co . Honda , Sergio Perez and of course Max Verstappen for such an amazing season.

RB16B now is an iconic car alongside 2010-2013 car. Aggresive looks, High rake, smoll Honda engine but beast in durability and power, and ofc HONDA in the rearwing is somewhat love to see!. My favourite car after F2004, MP4-13, RB6, W11. And now RB16B

@@Mandykiss4500 when I watched the pit crew reaction video from Red Bull Racing the cameraman eventually went to Christian and later also GP. GP hugged Helmut and screamed. The scream really sounds similar to the onboard. I also haven't seen Albon in the garage or at the celebration in this entire video. I heard from someone he was at the Alpha Tauri garage at that time. But still, I don't know for certain. Just my conclusion :)
