The campaign and the moon idea sound great! Shame GW are so disconnected from their customers
Heaven forbid that trainer went to GW Manchester at any point. Paul is as far as I'm aware one of the main sources of training for managers here in the northwest.
Also loving that shadow campaign going on lol
Your delight upon reading the name Dave made me need to watch some Michael Rosen
It is really amazing that GW can keep any retail stores open at all. It seems like they do everyrhing possible to run a ass-backwards business model: Treat their staff and customers like crap. Never offer a sale or discount. Punshish inovation. Reward incompetence.
Perfectly Bizarro.
That is what you get when you have business majors running the business, but that have no involvement or passion for the hobby. Sure, some of their ideas will get them certain numbers and I don't deny that, but it is often forcing a quite distant and cold way of interacting with the customers on the staff at the bottom rungs.
I do quite enjoy our celebratory arrival of having reached the end of another week.
Have a nice weekend too, thank you.
Murpheys law: I'm going to a tourney in an hour and they have changed the rules twice due to my lists, so the house team has a better chance in the next one🤣🤷
Music is an interesting topic actually. In a way I suppose it has to be soft and inoffensive to some degree because let’s face it, not everyone likes metal. The store I used to go to played anime and game songs, which was great for me but I imagine would annoy a lot of people the way metal annoys me.
I wonder if music is a fruitful topic to discuss? I feel like it would be.
Way back when, GW Manchester played soundtracks from Phantom Menace, Lotr, etc. Was when they were allowed to choose what music they played
Hi Dave!
Brick and mortar stores are basically an anachronism at this point and the way gw handles them is enough to make you believe they want them all closed. Having them costs money, money they probably think they don't need to spend. If i can buy things cheaper elsewhere and I cant play there, why does it exist?
It isn't too much of a conspiracy theory to say they want it on paper that it's nothing but a money sink so they can stop having them. Dozen or so game stores in my county, 2 gws in the whole state, seems weird.
Why does GW insist on retraining already successful staff?
Feels like all large-chain minimum wage jobs insist on constant retraining.
Mandatory Busywork
To give the trainers something to do instead of sacking them
Meh, most tournament experience at best is... alright? I don't know why people bother honestly.
Infinity is a great game idea wrapped in a horrible system with a vertical learning curve, tried it, gave up, moved on.
